It's a bit of a hike to get here for me, but so many varieties of food to choose from makes it tough to stay away. Like many of the other reviews may have indicated, be prepared to wait in line if you get here after 11 am or so. There's always a reason why certain stalls have lines and others don't. I hope that they install more fans here, as it can get quite tough to chow down on a hot bowl of soup in 35c+ weather...Favorite stall so far would be Soon Huat for their tasty pork soup. Though I have been itching to go hit Ah Seng up since they have been getting rave reviews on their duck.

I also prefer this to Chomp Chomp and many other food centres because it's very clean. Most of the stalls have an A rating. Good fish ball noodle Koh Toew and sliced fish soup is good too. On Friday/Saturday nights, they have a singer playing golden oldies.

I prefer going to this food centre much more than going to Chomp Chomp because it's much more cooling here. There are many great stalls here. Morning: Aliff Nasi Lemak is simply fabulous! The couple is super friendly and their food ranging from nasi lemak to their curry puffs and goreng pisang are just heavenly! I've packed their nasi lemak for breakfast at the office and one hour later, the ikan billis are still crispy and delicious! Then, there's the beef stew noodles stall that's 2nd stall from the traffic light - that's heavenly too. Of course, there's the Pig's Intestines Soup that's always a long wait for lunch unless you are there before 11.30am. Try the Sliced Fish Hor Fun, Oyster Omelette and the NTUC special priced Food Stall. All excellent food to go!

This wet market is relatively small as compared to the other wet markets in typical HDB estate. And it also closes early. If you step in around noon, there is usually only a few stores open by then: fruit stall, Yong tau foo/fishball stall. Things are also pricier than hdb wet markets. Well, it is Serangoon Gardens afterall, where it is mainly landed property.Parking can get crazy on weekend mornings as most people come for breakfast/brunch at the food centre. The food at the market is probably the best part about the market.Love the food Centre. You can find the specific reviews for more details but some personal favorites are the blanco court kway chap, the freshly baked bread rolls, the minced meat noodles.

This market located stone throw away from Chomp Chomp has a lot of great eats. This is often a popular food centre in the day while Chomp Chomp is the popular one in the night. Many of the popular stalls here include the Blanco Court Garden Kway Chap, Fong Kee Delicacies, Pancake King, Ah Seng Duck Rice and much more. You will be spoilt of choices here :)

Other than heading to the famous Chomp Chomp, Serangoon Gardens has another food centre nearby along Serangoon Garden Way as you enter the circus area. The food centre side is mainly opened in the day all the way to dinner time, though things generally quiet down after dinner and the crowd shifts over to Chomp Chomp for supper. Since they've rebuilt it some years back, it's a much more open space, with stalls surrounding an atrium of seats in the middle. But Serangoon Garden Market has its fair share of good eating stores - the kway chap and char kway teow always get long queues, and the Ah Seng duck rice is also quite popular. For me, I'm a fan of the noodle and porridge store, and the bakery and confectionery store that serves up traditional style bread.
