Very good, but must be open to new textures and tastes
This restaurant is hard to review because there are many good and not-so-good things about it. If you are not an adventurous eater I do not recommend this restaurant. I consider myself a foodie, but even for me, I found the textures and tastes very experimental. My daughter and I did the small tasting menu which was more than enough because they add 2 additional chef's choice tasters and an extra dessert as well. The service was outstanding and well attentive, each dish explained perfectly when they arrived (the menu is not so specific). The best part of this meal was the visual presentation of the dishes and the desserts. I thought the pastry chef did an outstanding job in this regard.

What to say? Delicious menu, excellent wine pairings AND friendly service. Actually, each one of the team members, went the extra mile to make us feel special. Thank you!

A cozy restaurant located on a quiet street, this was another wonderful find in Lisbon. They have a couple of tasting menus with the option of wine pairings, which I chose. The meals were beautiful, creative and of course, delicious. I enjoyed savouring each bite, anticipating the explosion of flavours. The sommelier selected wines across Portugal to my delight. The price was actually quite reasonable for the quality and service. It was the perfect dinner to finish off my visit to Lisbon.

SALA is an amazing Restaurant with amazing views of Lisbon city. The service and quality of the food was outstsnding Been a vegetarian I was treated to a 5 course tasting menu that was the highlight. The wines were out of this world and the staff were so knowledgeable about the wines and menu. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Our favourite dinner in lisbon was here. Good service, romantic atmosphere, and amazing food. The crab, lobster, and prawn dishes were outstanding. And the homemade cheesecake was just divine. Would definitely return if we are ever back in portugal.

I tried to make a reservation here months before our trip and was put on a waitlist. Two days before got an email saying that we had a table. We were really excited! Unfortunately, the actual dining experience was disappointing. Our reservation was on the earlier side of the evening so when seated the restaurant was relatively empty. Service started out attentive and prompt. We ended up choosing our own multi-course meal with wine pairings. The surprise snacks were pretty good; and we really enjoyed the butter served with the bread. With that said, as we were still working on them (including drinking our wine) -- the plates were abruptly cleared to bring out the first course. The shrimp I was served for the starter was really fishy and was not great. Then, for the second course my husband was poured wine with loads of cork in it. We asked if it could be removed from the glass and the waitress was extremely rude and somehow taken aback we would request that. So, for a solid 20 minutes we waited for someone to come to the table to remove the cork and no one did. We had to ask a second time and received a snarky response and then finally someone came to remove it. (this is now well into the second course). Both of our dishes (one steak and one fish) were just OK. As others have noted, very salty. The dessert was the best course. Once the dessert was served though, the waitstaff was nowhere to be found. We even got up and asked for the bill and still waited around for 20+ minutes with not a single person coming by the table. My observation is that the waitstaff is not well-trained in how to effectively pace and serve guests. First, it was rushed, and then it was like no one could care less we were still sitting in the restaurant. We sometimes observed two-three waitstaff at a single table... Overall, the meal was average and the service was extremely poor for a fine dining experience. I left regretting booking the table and wishing we had gone somewhere else. I would not recommend this place to others -- especially when there are so many options in Lisbon.

We choose the tasting menu that is an interesting selection of seafood dishes , matched with Portuguese wines from different regions (not always the best match to our taste). Would recommend going with this menu for the experience. It is creative and beautifully presented cuisine The staff are so friendly and efficient making us feel welcomed. Very good service . When the dishes and wines were presented, they came with high level explanations Reservations is a must! (two weeks ahead) I have to mention that they noticed our dissatisfactory of the wines and charged us only for one tasting (without asking for it) We spent almost 4 hours in the restaurant and enjoyed every minute

The tasting menu is an interesting selection of largely seafood dishes , thoughtfully matched with Portuguese wines from different regions . Would recommend going with this menu for the experience.

Really disappointing experience. We chose the tasting menu with wine pairing. The dishes were inventive but everything was overly salty. When the dishes and wines were presented, they came with high level explanations where we were left wondering what we were eating. One of the courses - octopus rice - was so salty we literally couldn’t eat it. When we told the waiter, his response was ‘okay, thank you’ instead of offering a replacement. The service was attentive overall and we liked a couple of the courses. We did not enjoy our meal here and would not recommend it to others.

Stunning meal and we had the privilege to sit at the counter and chat with the chefs for the entire thing. Brilliant fun, fascinating insights into how they work and what motivates them. An all round top class evening that will stay long in the memory.

Great fine dining restaurant. Small and intimate. Excellent staff and extraordinary food . Thoroughly enjoyable. Good but fairly short winelist.
We did not do the tasting menu so 3 courses, pre dinner drinks, wine , coffees and port was €167 for two.
Outstanding meal, service and attention to detail
True fine dining with creative combination of flavors, beautiful presentation and exceptional service, interesting selection of local wines. I wish they had a menu alla cart. The rest was truly noteworthy.
