Well catered for families with young children
This is a lovely clean hotel with excellent well mannered staff,who were always courteous and helpful. Our rooms were very well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. We dined at the Indian restaurant,which was very good, and twice at the Porterhouse steak restaurant which was excellent. We also had breakfast there a couple of times which was much more pleasant and relaxing compared to the very noisy buffet restaurant Manava, which we felt was like a canteen.On our 1st visit there for breakfast, we had to join a large queue to get a table. There were no plates or bowls to eat from. The restaurant was jammed packed. So we knew to dine early in the morning to avoid the noise,queues etc.. Dined once in the evening at Manava, but the food was cold, the restaurant was noisy , lighting was cold and bright, and we felt again it was more like a canteen. Porterhouse is so much better , with great service and excellent food. I’d definitely recommend. The food served at the pools is also very good. There are many pools , 3 of which are designated kids pools and 2 other mixed pools. With so many pools we would have appreciated an adult only pool as the main pool and waterfall pool were quite crowded,and noisy. Also you were not allowed inflatables unless it was a kids inflatable. We were used to floating on our LILO’s in other hotels we’ve stayed in Dubai as that kept you nice and cool in the soaring heat. We only found out for the last 2 days that if you hired a cabana with private pool, you could use the LILO as long as you stayed in the very small pool area attached to the Cabana. The waterfall pool would be ideal as an adults only pool as it’s away to the side of the resort in a quiet location. We did hire the cabanas with private pool for our last 2 days just so we could enjoy the heat whilst floating in the water.
Kids club
Sofitel dubai the palm is the great place to visit. My kids love the kids club so much and they don’t want to leave the kids club because of Ressie and Carla. They were so amazing and very good at handling kids. They are always playing with my kids and my kids did not feel any bored when they were in the kids club. We love the kids club and thanks again to Ressie and Carla!! 😊
Recommendation
Very nice hotel on the best location of Dubai, the environment gives a real holiday feeling. Good restaurants, special thanks to Nikson and Prabath. In the morning we had breakfast in the Premier Lounge. It’s also to recommend, in general all personal in the hotel is very friendly and helpfull, reception desk, lounge, excursions..
Utlimate Dubai Birthday Experience!!
Ultimate Dubai retreat. Beat place to enjoy with family. Several pools as well as beach sections. We enjoyed Zoya Indian restaurant but also had good experiences at Manava and Potershouse. Minutes to downtown Dubai but on the quiet and serene side of Palm Jumeirah. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and appreciated the two suprise cakes and cards in the room for both our kids birthdays; which was the whole idea of our trip. Services by Kiran at the executive lounge, the hostess and gentlemen at Zoya as well as assistance at the door by Samuel as well as the rest of the gentlemen who were all very kind and quick to help, made our stay very comfortable. We shall certainly be back.
Great hotel and excellent staff!
This was our first time to Dubai with our children (aged 2 &5) the Sofitel was very accommodating to the children, especially when it came to food! The food was very very good, we ate at the buffet most of the time and each time there was different food and it tasted amazing. My husband and children are vegetarian so there were many options for them, We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and clean. Only thing I can fault is the fold out bed was not that comfortable. We were able to call a buggy To and from, which would arrive within 10 minutes of calling. Rizwan and Sandeep were both lovely drivers who made the journey exciting for the children. All the staff are friendly and warming... my 2 year old loves to say hi to everyone and every staff member would respond back to him happily. Himanshu, who works in the buffet restaurant was very friendly and kind to the children went above and beyond to make sure they were happy! Nabeel was also very helpful. Aisha who works in the world eatery was particularly helpful and friendly in the fiesta Sunday event. Even though pasta was not available at the buffet that day she got the chef to make some for my son as he was being very picky! She also tried her very best to cheer him up! Would stay here again for sure!
Staying here now - not a true 5 star hotel there are much better hotels but for less money
This is our 1st time in Dubai as a family and we booked the 2 bed apartment. Over all I would say the rooms are quite dated and abit grubby. Definitely not the 5 star standard I would expect from Dubai. It didn’t get off to the best start when I emailed months in advance to ask if we could (if possible) check in a little earlier as we had a night flight and the children would be tired. ( all other hotels we have had the room available on arrival when we have flown through the night) The room was not available as the hotel is apparently full (this was not the case as I could have booked a room when I looked the night before) Once we got to the room at 3pm it looked quite dated a grubby. The sinks were moldy and there was a lot of dust (not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel) The room has also not been serviced a few times and we have had to get towels from the pool to have clean towels to have a shower. The attention to detail isn’t there. We have 4 people in the apartment but only 2 dressing gowns. Not enough cups and glasses for 4 people so 2 have to finish their drink before the other 2 can have a drink. The safe was not working when we checked in, surely this should have been checked before we got to the room. Overall I don’t think this is 5 star, we have stayed at the madinat and the anantara and the service is out of this world. We paid a lot of money for the week and I wish I’d have booked elsewhere so the kids could experience the true 5 star of Dubai. We Will not be booking here again
An extremely family friendly hotel
This hotel is pleasant to look at with friendly staff and excellent restaurants (aside from the buffet). Sanji in Porterhouse was extremely polite and attentive throughout both of our meals, as were all of the staff throughout the hotel during our stay. The hotel pools were all dominated by families with young children. There are no adult only pools on offer. Inflatables are not allowed in any of the pools unless you pay £60 for a cabana and private pool where you can float freely within a 2x3 metre space. Evenings are very quiet within the hotel with only 2 bars, both with very little to offer. Overall a nice hotel- clean rooms, decent food and most of the amenities you look for.
BEST SERVICE! Incredible
The best and kind people. Incredible staff. Lovely team. I was so welcomed and so at home. Food was incredible. Twazin was such an incredible waitress. I don’t like steak but she helped me choose the beat one for me. It was the my favorite meal for the trip. Restaurant called porter and house. Just wow !drool. This place is absolutely lovely

The beds were comfy, air conditioning was very efficient, the staff are friendly and professional and were very helpful. Shishir from housekeeper was very professional and friendly and made our stay better. The food was good. The room was cleaned well
Wonderful dinner
The laguna restaurant is fantastic, clam, cozy and relaxing. A beachside restaurant to relax over the evening. Ankamma has been our guest at the laguna restaurant a very professional steward that supported over the dinner. A wonderful experience that we have enjoyed the whole way trough.
Stayed with great service
Excellent stay, very nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Services great. Food and drinks very diverse and good. Beach location and service is great. Pool for relaxing is good, for actual swimming a bit unsuitable. Also the Spa experience was a great one for the woman of our group
Customer Service First Class
Attentive service and good facilities. A special mention for Courtney (Supervisor). Courtney is a fabulous ambassador for Novotel. Upon my arrival there were computer related challenges with my check in and I had landed from an 18 hr flight. Courtney tackled a difficult situation head on and managed expectations in a first class manner.

We enjoyed beers and shisha in Laguna during the sunset, and it was a memorable occasion. The music was excellent and created the ideal tone, adding to the lively and soothing ambiance. The assistance rendered was outstanding, considerate, and amiable. Our visit was greatly enhanced by their hospitality. Laguna's general atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening. We wholeheartedly endorse this location to anyone searching for a fun and unforgettable excursion. It's the ideal location for unwinding, enjoying yourself, and taking in the stunning surroundings.

The service provided by Karim was exceptional, attentive, and friendly. His hospitality truly elevated our visit. The overall vibe of Laguna made it an ideal spot for unwinding and enjoying the evening. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable outing. It's a perfect venue to relax, have fun, and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

Great Hotel, great vacation
Dodyk, Yefta and Ruwan made a great Job! We had nice talks about culture, work, life experience and whatever you think about. Was really good! Everybody in the hotel was very friendly, for every question a good answer. Thats the point, why I came a second time. Absolute advisement to go.
I would love to return to this hotel
Everything was great! Special thanks for cleaning the rooms to Bhandart Mangur!The reception worked very quickly even when there was a hurricane and they were not up to our trifling requests. One of the disadvantages is that there was not enough animal protein food for breakfast: steaks, chicken, fish. I do sports and it was important to me.
Excellent service
The service was excellent & Jaber could not do enough for us. We are staying as our flight was cancelled on thurs pm . We were lucky to book 4 it’s at Sofitel. Prior to our cancelled flight we had 2 nights at The Royal as a birthday present! & 2 nights at Bab al shams . The service at the premier lounge given by Jaber was excellent! He is very professional, polite attentive. Each day he would personally remember and ask politely if we’d like the same drink or try something new! We had suite which was fantastic overlooking the palm & the food in the beach taverna was fantastic.

This is to appreciate and thank your entire team for a lovely Iftar Party that we hosted for our company at Maui Restaurant. Your entire team starting from Michelle, Jason helped us in getting our entire booking and menu sorted and they were readily available and eager to help no matter how many times I called, and answered all the queries and always had positive reply. They had a very friendly approach and the most important thing is they gave beautiful suggestions all throughout and that actually made us feel that we belonged there. And then on the day of the event which was the Friday 5th April your entire F&B team special mention to (Mohit (ARM), Atul, Akshay, Sugita, Rajeshwar and Daya) ensured everything was absolutely smooth and left no stones unturned and ensured our entire team had a great time and there was not a single person who complained about food or even service for that matter of fact, everything was just perfect in fact beyond perfect. And lastly would like to thank your entire culinary department for the lovely food, mouth watering dishes and beautiful presentation. It was an evening filled with joy for our entire team and we will never forget the beautiful evening altogether put up by your’e entire team, and any event coming up in future be rest assured you guys will be our only choice. Being from the hospitality industry and knowing the in and out of it I totally understand the importance of keeping your guests happy and that’s what exactly your entire team did. Please make sure it reaches to the right people so that they get recognized for their hard work, and anything else you require from my end please let me know would be very happy to do the same as that is the minimal that we can do from our side.
Wonderful vacation
We had a wonderful vacation at an amazing hotel, largely thanks to the attentive staff who took care of us. I would like to thank Ajith and Han in particular, who were always attentive and helpful. They ensured we had an excellent atmosphere and provided impeccable service during our breakfast and dinner. Another thank to all those chefs that prepared all the delicious meals which we enjoyed and provided also some lactose and gluten free options. Everything in the hotel and its surrounding was top noch including rooms, the beach, gardens and wonderful lobby despite the big storm that hit Dubai, the staff managed the situation perfectly with full commitment . We are looking forward to come back for our vacation again in the future and we surely choose this hotel.
Great breakfast service
Buffet breakfast was a great add on and had some very helpful staff including waqas from Pakistan who was extremely attentive during our meal. Huge selection of food, clean venue and attentive staff. Highly enjoyable and definitely recommend.
Amazing Resort with Top Service
Amazing resort. We booked for two nights. The atmosphere is magical. The beach and amenities are top notch. During checkin Dennis was an amazing bellman who went above and beyond to help us carry our belongings and also make sure that we were taken care of during the checkin process. He also gave us some great suggestions of where to go nearby. I want to also thank Ritvik at check-in who was very kind and attentive. He made sure that the checkin process was smooth and also was very good to understanding our needs. I highly recommend Sofitel at the palms for your stay in Dubai.
Great resort, Value for Money, Amazing People!
Great people that staff this hotel, Ajeeth, Milan, Thomas, Mr Sabri, Yogi, Han, Chitra, Denis and so many more superstates to make your stay as comfortable as possible! A great stay for a almost everyone, especially families
Well, I have been to many hotels and resorts around Dubai and VAE, I expect high standards, and know very well what it means to stay in world leading hotel. So far, my experience with Sofitel the palm was amazing! The whole team was thrilled to leave no wished unfilled. As I’ve a specific medical history which need extra care, the team was trying to do its best to make our stay just perfect. I don’t need to say anything at all, this hotel is a nice place for a good standard, family’s and friends stay, or even business but you need to notice the area is still palm. So, I would recommend it even for solo travelers as you have a high variety of things to do and locations around. It’s close to a train station too. The hotel offers a perfect match of different restaurants and the buffet is always a good idea for family’s too. The beach area ist amazing. The pools are nice too. The spa facilities are good. Some facilities are maybe not so modern as other hotels in Dubai but notice that this hotel is already some years old. I would definitely recommend the beach suite!! It’s a perfect modern bright lovely suite with a private butler located in a separate building yet close. You got a VIP area for having breakfast if you prefer or afternoon tea, drinks etc. where only members are allow to use. There is a mini marked in hotel and several shops. For kids they offer plenty nice activities. Fitness gym is big and nice! I give a special thanks to Mr Nazar, Romash, Swaroob, Atui, shibu, shefli, imtiaz, Hahn and or room made of course… and everyone who was so in to it, to make our stay as perfect as possible! We will never forget! We will be back for sure. Even if maybe something goes “wrong” they just did everything in their hands to make us forget and smile. And yap they did! Thank you. Little notice, as there are families with kids this hotel is not for people who need a quiet time! They do serve alcohol, there is music at night, and there are families with kids…! So you should be aware of this. But even me, I spend time with mom, we don’t have any kids, do not party or alcohol, we enjoyed our stay and did get our rest…

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
