Superior King Suite Room
This hotel gets a 5โญ from me. Was here for 1 night stay celebrating our anniversary and Robert took very good care of us. Robert rewarded us with one of the hotels fantastic king suites. What a amazing suite. This king suite had everything we could asked for plus more. The bed was super soft with comfy fluffy pillows, lots of clean towels washcloths, soap, shampoo& conditioner dispensers, 2 TV's in the suite( bedrrom&livingroom), microwave& fridge, came with a nice size eatery table or a nice tray to eat on the couch. We loved that the ice machine was right across the hall from our suite and the suite had a walk out balcony to catch some fresh air.

Positives were the lodgings being so close to major roadway . Another nice discovery was having a shopping plaza nearby that featured a Winn- Dixie grocery as well as a terrific local breakfast spot. So, the Sonesta Miami Lakes was conveniently situated with regards to food, supplies, and a change of scenery (especially necessary on a very rainy 3-day weekend in which we came to see live professional tennis). Related to the entrance/exit angle: the facility itself contains lots of back and side ground entrances if youโre just wanting to slip in and out easily without fanfare. There are two elevators that navigate Floors 1 through 4 efficiently and promptly. The stairwells are carpeted and clean, as are the hallways. The ground floor houses a guest laundry. Staff was helpful and polite, but came off as reserved and even guarded, in affect. One is accustomed to housekeeping staffers who avoid contact with clientele. Generally, I neither expect nor welcome interaction with hotel housekeeping. However, the need for genial feedback is greater with employees such as front counter agents, concierges and even lobby-cafe barristas. The public relations sphere category applies to all of the aforementioned hotel employees, and at Sonesta Select Miami Lakes, many of them are either poorly prepared, poorly equipped, or poorly placed in their jobs in these not-inexpensive lodgings. Here, I concede I cannot know the complexities of life that confronts recent transplants. So many of the staffers at jobs which more fitting individuals sniff it, came to the U.S. from Central and South America and Mexico and are a paycheck away from poverty. These folks are looking across at me from a wide, wide ethno -cultural and lingual and socioeconomic divide. By contrast, I embody the established class or caste. This status allows me to enjoy limitless access to capitalismโs many freedoms and social privileges.

Very good customer Service Sergio at the front desk was very helpful when we first arrived and everybody was very friendly. Very good rooms and excellent service - they even have Starbucks in house which was so great ! All around excellent experience. Management is fantastic. Thank you
Be the first to ReplyVery nice
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice. Bed was comfortable, pillows were fluffy. TV had mostly sport and business channels but we didn't spend much time in our room. It was cold and rainy so didn't get to take advantage of the outdoor amenities. Close to Hard Rock Stadium, easy drive. Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel was located in great are, very safe and accessible to shopping centers, restaurants and pharmacies. Room was clean and inviting, staff very friendly. Room needed a little more sound proofing but over all the experience was wonderful.
Be the first to ReplyRude staff and property is dated and honestly a bit ghetto.
Super rude staff, but rooms were relatively clean, and the property had some nice outdoor seating areas. The breakfast was overpriced for this kind of hotel, and you can tell that the property is definitely dated. It seems like these "Sonesta Select" locations are just old Courtyard by Marriott properties that they bought out as they look identical.

I was a little hesitant to stay after reading a few reviews but I realize everyone has different perspectives and expectations. I am glad I checked it out for myself. Top service! Worth the stay! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ

Took a trip with the family, from the beginning Kevin took very good care of us and our needs and concerns. It was a very good property, that makes you feel at home. Will totally come back again. It truly was a perfect stay.
Be the first to ReplyRainbow after our storm!
My husband and I were traveling to Florida with our 2 year old due to a family death. So not only were we traveling while grieving we had an absolute horror show of an experience with our airline. After a 7 hour flight delay, sleeping in the back seat of our rented car in a parking garage waiting for it to re open because we landed after hours and no one could help us, Peter at Sonesta was our saving grace. We stayed in touch with him after each delay and he reassured us that he would have everything ready for us when we finally arrived, and he certainly did that! We didnโt arrive to the hotel until 6am (when we were originally supposed to be there at 8:30pm the night before). Peter has a very welcoming personality and made sure we were set with everything we needed to have a great stay. Thank you so much Peter, you really made a difference in our travel experience!! Also the room was really clean, with comfy beds!! Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyVery Unprofessional and rude
We had a horrible experience at this hotel. Very unprofessional behavior. The hotel staff had given away our rooms to someone else even though we had prepaid for the room. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere at midnight. The staff present there was very rude and denied giving us rooms. We had to search for another hotel in the middle of the night and paid double the amount. They refuse to pay the refund for the denied room. Extremely unprofessional and racist.
Be the first to ReplyBetter than expected & lovely staff
I had the pleasure of staying at this location last week. I arrived in town earlier than expected and I spoke to very friendly front desk representative by the name of Maria around 8am in the morning. I told her I had no where else to go and if I can check in early. She was nice enough to check me in with no questions asked and also gave me some bottled water since she can tell it was a rough night. LOL I loved her vibe and how playful she was, even that early in the morning. Please give this woman a raise or a management position. Also, the 2 cleaning ladies on my floor (3rd Floor) were so nice to me. They were very helpful and provided me with all the toiletries & towels I needed. I also liked the way they returned my deposit quicker than most other hotels. I recommend this hotel. It's slightly hidden, but definitely worth it.
