Waited 30 minutes for our expensive eggs only for them to show up cold. Unacceptable. Tasted good but would've been better warm.

Great place for brunch! The music and coffee were my favorite part of my dining experience. The food was good but my eggs Benedict was very average and didn't come out hot. My boyfriend ordered the avocado toast and asked for spicy Mayo on top. It looked Divine!

Don't go. We sent our entree back and left and went down the street and got ramen.

Nice food, service, and ambiance at Sonsie for brunch! I was seated quickly and got a good look around the restaurant-- nice modern decor and spacious place. I ordered French toast and it was delicious! Piled high with bananas and cream, it was a sweet treat worth having. Ordering the fries as a side was a good idea so the salt could cut through the immense sweetness of my main dish. The pancake was decent, too saturated with syrup in my opinion, and the dates on top were a questionable addition. I would definitely go to Sonsie again to try their non-brunch items.

It's an all right place on a very desirable street in Boston. Had brunch there today a little limited on the options. If you have smoked salmon on the menu have a bagel too. The thing that got me was the double digit prices for cans of micro brew beer. Flat out not paying over $9.00 for a 12oz beer. Don't care if it was brewed by god himself!
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite brunch spots in Boston.
Definitely worth coming here when the weather is nice, as the front will be open with a gorgeous view of Newbury St right outside. The food is always delicious and service is excellent. The Eggs Benedicts and Avocado Toast are my go-to's!

This place caught my eye as I was walking on Newbury because it looked so cute and quaint and boy did it not disappoint! The place was pretty packed on a weekend afternoon but luckily my friend and I didn't wait long without reservations and ended up getting a cute table facing the street windows that usually open up during the summers/when it's nice and hotter out. Honestly just the placement of their two seater tables is such a cute design to enjoy the outside while catching up with someone and eating brunch. The food was absolutely delicious. My friend and I split the breakfast pizza and the chilaquiles. For someone that doesn't usually like eating eggs, I'm really glad I tried the breakfast pizza because it was so yummy and filling. The chilaquiles takes the cake, though, for being just the right amount of flavor, meat to tortilla ratio, and crispiness. I would definitely want to come back, especially during the summer time!
Be the first to ReplyGreat flavors and ambiance.
I am holding back a star because the portions were a bit small (and salty) for the price. Wait staff was excellent.

Such a cute restaurant!! We had reservations here and it was in December so it was all decorated for Christmas. It felt like a cozy but not too casual restaurant. The food was great here. I had the eggplant parmigiana pizza and the flavors went together so well. For dessert I had the goat cheese brownie ice cream- it sounds funny but it's so good. Definitely check it out!
Be the first to ReplyNew Year's Day brunch was very disappointing.
We were told that renovations were starting Tuesday so they might be out of a few things. It appeared they stayed open just to use up what they had to serve. The Bloody Mary mix was watery and lacking flavor. The coke had no syrup in it because they ran out. The salmon Benedict had a meager portion of salmon and hollandaise and was served with a few pale French fries because there were no home fries left. The server was nice but our food was very slow to arrive. I'm guessing it is much better under normal circumstances but doubtful I'd go back as there are many other great restaurants in Boston.

Had made a reservation a few weeks in advance for New Year's Day brunch. We get there on time but they have us wait about 10 minutes for a table, which I understand. When we sit we ask the hostess if they're doing the brunch menu and she says yes and walks away. We pick what we want and 10 minutes later the waiter comes over and says they are out of pizza, burgers, French toast, breakfast sausage, sandwiches, and hashbrowns...basically their whole menu except for eggs. Why would they not tell us this before we sat down? Especially when we asked the hostess about the menu! Extremely disappointing and not handled well. The table next to us seemed to be unhappy with their eggs so we left and won't be returning.
