Ate here yesterday.
The French fries are SO SALTY. They used to have a wonderful salad bar. Now it's prepackaged salads with the prepackage dressings. The soups are ok. My sons chicken tenders were RAW in the middle. Do not support these on mountain restaurants until they improve. I'm surprised at how bad the quality has gotten in just a few years since I was last here.

What happened to the food? They are only serving the basics i.e. burger, hotdogs and chicken fingers. Sandwiches are pre-made. Nice variety of soups but ours was not hot. We have skied Bever creek for 40 years and I've always looked forward to the variety and high quality of options. Now it's like eating at a ball park.
Be the first to ReplyFood has always been ok but yes, overpriced.
The biggest issue I have this year is how dirty the bathrooms are. Several toilets you can't use, they are so dirty. The floor, the countertops just disgusting. Makes me wonder how the kitchen is? Yuk. Staff is an issue this year but DO NOT cut on sanitation. Specially, on COVID times...
Be the first to ReplyWe went during summer and covid.
The food was your basic brown bag lunch options, so it is not anything special. However, they did an excellent job at keeping people safe and fed on the mountain. They even had a staff constantly sanitizing. VERY late posting this. Hope to go back soon.
Be the first to ReplyNeed reservations to get a table at this spot.
Recommended to make it before you start skiing as we made it at 9:30 and there were only 2 available spots left. It was actually super nice to have the lodge completely empty because of these reservations. Usually these ski lodges are crammed with wall to wall people and your just dying to sit down. Prices are outrageously high, I know mountain lodges normally have higher prices but $20 for 2 IPAs and $17 for a chicken wrap with no sides. Prices are way higher than lodges at vail. Don't forget to show you Epic Pass for 20% off your food/beverage order. I did not know this at the time. Recommend make a reservation but pack you own lunch/snacks. Your table time is limited to 45 minutes as they have employees come around to let you know your time left. Tables are clean and sanitized. Recommend you don't use indoor bathroom if you hate stairs and ski boots. 2 flights if stairs to get the basement bathroom. Not ideal.
Be the first to ReplyJust a bad experience to start off.
I came two weeks ago with my family, and spent over $200 for lunch to just receive cold food, wait in a 15min line to check out , and no employees had personalities. UNTIL I met Evan, Even came to my family's table, which was table 13. To ask how the view and food was. My wife told him about the first half of my experience and he did not skip one beat. 3-5 min later he came back with all Fresh & hot food, told a few jokes, and to go above and beyond he extended our time and made us feel like his family. Evan If your reading this, my Family and I are so appreciative of you. You have made us want to come back in the summer to see how it is. Thank you for treating our family, like your own.

There's price gouging on every ski mountain, I get it, but this place moves it to a whole new level with $6 pouch-based hot cocoa. Seriously, heat some water, dump a Nestle packet in, and there you go. They don't even make them at the time you order, they stick them under heat lamps, so who knows how hot it will actually be, and obviously during covid you don't want to go feeling on all the cups looking for a hot one.Next issue; the bathrooms. Why would you put the bathrooms down three or four winding flights of stairs? Ski boots and stairs don't mix, I have no idea why you'd put the bathroom on a separate floor at a mid-mountain station. I did it once, after that, you're far better off just taking Cinch lift up to the top and using the small bathroom hut you can ski up to just under the lift drop off.The majority of the ski racks are up a steep hill from the lodge entrance, so you can walk around and down if you're smart, or risk falling down the hill, which numerous people seemed to do for some reason.Last but not least, the check-out experience is a nightmare. If you were lucky enough to find a hot cocoa that was still hot, it won't be by the time you get through the line. Their scanners almost never properly register the Epic Pass bar code that you need for your 20% discount. This means nearly every check-out is going to be delayed by several minutes while they try scanning over and over before giving up and typing in the pass numbers. Given that with covid nearly anyone on mountain is a pass holder, why not just have a bypass on a card that won't scan to not hold up the line?! Or, how about upgrade to using an RF reader like the lift operators use so you don't need the scanner to work at all?! Every visit to this lodge resulted in a 10+ minute checkout experience.

For it being only 2:36 the employees have shut down all the hot food. Disappointing since it says it should be open another 30+ mins. The view from the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. If I were you I would go before two if you really want hot food. There's plenty of seating. At least 200 seats.

Sat down at the Watering Hole and chatted it up with Dave the bartender. Awesome dude, knowledgeable, and all around fantastic/engaging bartender. We only ordered drinks but the downhill express, nutty fletcher, and Dave's special bloody mary were all delicious. The first two drinks were hot drinks (coffee mixed with liquor) the bloody was amazing! Toppings were a pickle, pepperoni, olive, a strip of bacon and a pepperchini Full bar includes wine, beer, alcohol. Be warned... NO doubles and no shots/drinks straight up. Seating is limited to 12 bar stools, but you can pay for your food and drink at this bar. Have fun and say hi to Dave if you get the chance!Service: excellentSeating: indoor and limited to the bar topCleanliness: very cleanAmbiance: mountain casualCheers!
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced as F.
A small pizza costs 20 bucks. A fountain soda cost 7 bucks. Even for ski resort food, it's definitely too much. Day ruining experience for sure.
Be the first to ReplyFood is great as always but super pricey.
I wouldn't pay this much for the food anywhere else but the views and awesome service make up for it! Definitely a must-do at Beaver Creek even though it costs so much.
Be the first to ReplyThe bartenders are the rudest people up here.
Ty Diaz consistently makes flippant and rude remarks for years now. I do not recommend drinks at all either as they are made poorly and excessively over priced, even for a mountain top restaurant. I have never encountered such rude people in the service industry and it's not what you would expect from Beaver Creek. Ski down to C-Bar- the service is better and far cheaper.
