Excellent food!
The food was amazing!! This was the best meal during our trip to Spain!! I would highly recommend. Reservations are a must! The name is an accurate reflection of the food and service!
Be the first to ReplyGlad We Found This Place
We reside in Texas but have a second home in Barcelona, so we obviously have decent experience with a variety of Barcelona restaurants. Today was our first visit and it was just fantastic. Great menu, nicely done space without being pretentious and the staff was welcoming and helpful. Is there really anything more to say???

We weren't hungry on arrival but the Maรฎtre d' was more than happy to reschedule for the end of the lunch sitting, which was very much appreciated. The restaurant is cosy. We had the suculent tasting menu with wine flight. The food I cannot fault, and excellent value for money compared to fine dining elsewhere such as the UK. Our waiter was absolutely superb; I'm only sorry I cannot remember his name to give him praise. As northern Europeans who prefer full bodied wines, the wine pairing was a bit hit and miss for us, but this is an understandable when you consider the location and summer temperatures (although our visit was early April). However, the pairing with the beef and potato we both felt should be reconsidered, as it simply didn't go. It caused a bit of a stink for a few minutes, but the restaurant did bring my partner a glass of the Ariyanas which was very good, and it all blew over. Despite the minor hiccup, we did enjoy our visit to Suculent, and would recommend a visit.

This is truly a wonderful place. Super cozy atmosphere, lovely food and fantastic service! We chose the large succulent menu together with the wine menu, which I can definitely recommend.
Be the first to ReplyRather disappointing tasting menu
We tried the tasting menu and although it is very nicely presented and with a great diversity of products, techniques and even cooking, the final result remains rather disappointing. The taste and quality are not particularly good. I donโt necessarily recommend the tasting menu experience which was still โฌ65 per person.
Be the first to ReplyCatalan cuisine revisited. Good.
Located in the main square of the Raval district, where oriental cuisine restaurants and casual street food prevail, Suculent stands out. Almost gourmet cuisine, based on typical dishes of the Catalan tradition. Good dishes, decent wines. Cozy but small, personal place, in my opinion very formal. We arrived at this place by chance, not having booked we were offered a seat at the counter, we had a very good time. Prices appropriate to the type of venue. I recommend the meatballs, very good.

A high class in a less classy turn. Very refined tasty food, especially the tuna was an absolute winner, friendly staff and the recommended wine was great. The best fine dining we had in Barcelona

Returning a year later and the experience was just as good if not better. Hat's off to everyone at Suculent. Go for the Suculent Menu with wine pairing. You will be rewarded with a roller coaster of flavors and aromas that will make your head spin.
Be the first to ReplyCame back for the bone marrow with caviar
Second time I visited Suculent. Interesting and very tasty dishes and interesting wines. We loved the porcini cream with sea urchins and I came back for the bone marrow with caviar. Service is great. It is a bit away from the main places but worth the detour.
Be the first to ReplyItโs a MUST to include in Barcelona experience . Truly enjoyed this place and new wine discovery from Spain.
Nice rustic place , great ambiance for winter. The food and wine pairing were excellent. This was a treat from my lovely niece and a wonderful way to spend Christmas with good food abd company.
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant with beautiful food and sustainable story
Great restaurant with beautiful food and sustainable story. I had a hard time finding a top reviewed restaurant on a Monday end of January. Suculent was open and was supper impressed of all the dishes. The bone marrow with kaviaar is incredible. Furniture is reused and gives an authentic feel and extra point.

Our hungry group of 9 (including a 6 yr old and a 1 yr old) arrived on their doorstep as they were opening for lunch - without reservations. I cannot even believe we got in! The staff treated us to such a wonderful meal! They were informative and kind. They even brought little 'treats' and drinks for the kids. They had a high chair for the baby. The classico menu and wine pairing was amazing. We all agreed it was one of our most memorable dining experiences and a lovely introduction to Catalonian food.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible food and personal service
My wife and I went there after reading about the restaurant on trip advisor. We are huge fans of cooking programs and were really excited about the taster menu We werenโt disappointed at all, taken in from the front door we confirmed our reservation (a must BTW) we then walked through the kitchen which I thought was pretty cool, catching a glimpse of a busy, high level restaurant was amazing. Our waiter and the sommelier were both personal without being intrusive, we always knew what was coming up and as we had chosen the wine pairing, we were told in advance when a new wine was coming so we knew when to drink up. The value in this place is brilliant, some people say they didnโt feel satisfied, well I say that they obviously overeat as my wife and I were very satisfied. If you are on the edge whether to go for the wine pairing, definitely do it, you get six glasses, none are small either for 30 Euros, all great quality and the serving staff take time to tell you where its come from.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible food, memorable experience.
My wife and I booked a 9pm reservation had the "Classico" tasting menu. Flavors and presentations were flawless. Ambiance was elegant, relaxed. The best meal we had during our entire visit to Spain and quite possibly one of the best we've EVER had. Sommelier was incredibly welcoming and recommended the perfect wine, a lighter red from Priorat, to compliment the dishes. Our server was charming and friendly. He apologized for not speaking much English (which of course was not necessary) and made us laugh several times. Also loved the set-up where you get to walk right through the middle of the kitchen to get to your table. ยกMe encanto Suculent!

A good location relative to the Rambla and Gothic areas.. Excellent service and very tasty food presented in artistic ways. We had the classico tasting menu which was an excellent value as it included tax and service for 60 Euro. We highly recommend and yes we will go back and try their 80 Euro tasting menu.

Fantรกstico!! The steak tartar on bone marrow was over the top. Great service, great ambiance and our waiter, Jordy, was over incredible!
Be the first to ReplyTasty Food, The Pretentiousness Is Silly
We had the tasting menu. The avocado dish tasted like delicious guacamole and the steak tartare tasted like a delicious burger. So yes, very tasty but maybe not so inventive or worth the drama of the front of house. They shunned everyone who walked in without a reservation even though there were some tables. They dropped dishes and bottles of wine, even though they were trying to act like a 4 star restaurant. Reviewers are right that the neighborhood is super sketchy and I was very glad we got a cab out of there right away. It was not crazy expensive but my 16 year old son was still hungry after dinner :).
Be the first to ReplyAdventurous food but it never really worked
Big disappointment of a meal and more expensive than similar restaurants. Service was capable but the food was disappointing (not bad, not good, just meh). Also neighborhood seemed iffy -- wouldn't go back in the evening either
Be the first to ReplyUnbelievable experience!
One of the best restaurants I have eaten at in all of Spain! The menu is very imaginative and beautifully presented. Itโs pre fix and plates kept coming, each next dish better than the last. Everything was superb and some of our favorites were the bone marrow, duck croquettes and lobster. We opted for the wine pairing which I highly recommend as we got to taste delicious regional selection. I already plan to go back to Barcelona just to dine at Suculent.
Be the first to ReplyA delicious taster menu
I came here last week for the first time and ordered the larger taster menu. The menu was very tasty, with a good variety of items - something for everyone. Service was friendly, and they had some lovely wines. The only slight negative was the speed at which the dishes came out. As soon as you were done with one dish, they brought out the next dish straight away. Even though they were only small portions, I stil like to have some time for the food to go down, especially after the first three dishes, when I started to get full up. And of course it was the larger taster menu, so there were a lot of dishes to get through. It felt a bit rushed. But other than that, all was well. Iโve given it a rating of 4 out of 5 as I have had better food elsewhere, despite it being a Michelin star restaurant, and because of that, I didnโt feel I could give it a 5, as although the food was very good, I wouldnโt say that the food was to die for, unlike, for example, Sheeps and Leeks in Caernarfon or the New Curiosity in Carmarthen.

I dont normally visit the same restaurant twice when on holiday, but this place was so good, we went three times.
Night one, testing menu. Exquisite. The lobster/caviar on crispy chicken skin is off the charts. Steak tartare on bone marrow, delicious.
Night two, second tasting menu which they kindly adapted so we could try different dishes to the first night. Apart from lobster and steak tartare which we simply HAD to have again.
Still, there was more to try, so we went back for one final lunch. Once again, food and service was impeccable.
Pedro and his team looked after us so well. The chef is clearly a genius and his team faultless. It's not cheap, but it is exceptional food, fabulous wine with awesome service.
Just go here, you will not regret it. That first star is surely not far away. Bravo.
