Wonderful, beautiful scenery with amazing food and amazing service
Me and my family had an amazing experience here, the food is just as amazing as the show they put on for you when they make it. The atmosphere and employees were very nice, and thank you again for the origami Yomi itโs almost as beautiful as you.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant we loved it so much we went twice! The staff really lovely. Always looking after you and checking in. Making sure you had refills and so on. Chefs fantastic. Really immersive experience. The food was fantastic and my steak and shrimp cooked perfectly. Chefade a really big deal of it being our first visit to America and Disney which was really sweet. I wish we had stuff like this in the UK. Really want to go again. Will definitely be booking when we come back
Be the first to ReplyYummy Japanese Restaurant Choice in Epcot
This restaurant reminded me of a Hibachi restaurant at a top notch level. The restaurant seats 8 patrons around the cooking surface/table, so you may make some new friends while dining. The food and drink quality are at a high levelโI enjoyed saki and a cocktail and they were both excellent. My husband and I upgraded to the higher level of steak and it was tender, delicious and cooked to our preference. In addition, the sushi sampler was fresh and delicious as well as all the other courses we had. Please note, that there are several tables in a large room and it can be a bit loud. There were children of many different ages in the room but no one was cryingโthey all seemed to enjoy the cooking show and the fun demonstrations from the chef. There is a childrenโs menu available.
Be the first to ReplyNot what I remembered
Twenty years ago this spot used to be our special go to for the end of our vacations at Disney with many memorable meals. Fast forward to last week, and I didnโt even recognize the place. The beautiful curtains and wall hangings were replaced by sterile walls that only made the place sound like an echo chamber and look like the minimalist space that has become modern Disney. The portions were tiny, salad dressing was bitter, and the prices were exorbitant compared to the value of the meal. We now have hibachi in our little hometown in Kentucky, which I hate to say, is better than Teppan Edo. Just sad.๐ข.

I have had two great experiences here but this time chefs not entertaining, food was undercooked and not flavourful. Not sure what has changed with this restaurant but hopefully it returns to old self.

DO NOT GO TO LATE DINNING. This means anywhere from 8:30-9PM. They will NOT serve you. The food is great but not if you are going to dinner. Beware and it does not matter if any rides were detained or broken. And not cast members knew the restaurantโs number so we can contact them or the dining reservations number did not have the number or guest services. I ran with my handicapped mother, and the man@ the restaurant said nope we can not seat you as we are closed!
Be the first to ReplyThe best hibachi I've had
Get the yuzu lemonade it is amazing. The food overall is not very flavorful but it was still the best hibachi I've had. The staff were all excellent.
Be the first to ReplyHospitalised our son
We visited Teppan Edo on 30th July whilst on a Disney vacation and trip to Epcot. Having a type one diabetic son, we ordered diet cokes for himself and my husband. The drinks were continually refilled before we had a chance to finish them and replaced with new ones on the table. There was no confirmation from the staff that these were definitely diet drinks. Halfway through the meal my son said he didnโt feel well at all. We took his blood sugars and they were very high. At this point we called the waitress over and asked her had she definitely given us Diet Coke. She looked confused and initially said yes and then said no regular Coke. By this time my said was having a hyperglycaemic attack and he was laying down g feeling sick and very unwell. The manager was called and the staff had no idea what to do. In fact, they were totally useless bring us a cardboard takeaway box with slits in for him to be sick in! We had to ask them to call the medics and eventually he was hospitalised and had to have IV fluids. Since then, Teppan Edo have emailed to say that are accepting no responsibly for the incident as apparently we ordered regular Coke ourselves for our diabetic son!!! Please tell me why we would do this knowing full well what it would do to him!!!! We are now taking legal action
Be the first to ReplyGood but not great
Japan's restaurant is very similar to hibachi restaurants you may have been to in your own town. It is too expensive and the portions though are smaller. I am not a fan of the noodles and just prefer the rice but they do not offer a fried rice version. The chef was entertaining. The food was good but not great. The staff is all very attentive and nice.
Be the first to ReplyMake sure you don't get stuck in the back room!
This was to be our big treat of the holiday after hearing so many great reviews on podcasts and reading them on here. It is very simple and basic food with very little flavor. For my husband my daughter and myself, we were still hungry when we left and we are used to ordering light portions in restaurants! We were put in a very small back room with two tables so I feel we missed out on the atmosphere that the bigger rooms had, we walked past them on the long walk to the back room. You have to wait for anyone else who may be sitting at your table to arrive so we watched the other table's chef prepare their food (was over in 10 mins) then there was awkward silence while they eat and we made conversation amongst ourselves until the late party arrived. When our chef did start the other table was filled with new diners then waiting watching our chef, it was all a bit awkward. I am so disappointed as I waited up late months in advance to book this and I feel walk-ins probably got a better seat. So if you do still feel inclined to book, ask for a table in the main dining room and know that 3 basic stir frys plus soft drinks will set you back $160 + tip! and you are out in about 30mins. I would recommend Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs instead. It is absolutely delicious, it is on the michelin guide and will cost you less than the above.
Be the first to ReplyNot for me ok anyway
Little too loud for me, and little crowded at the table but the food and the presentation were excellent and also a good viewing spot for fireworks
Be the first to ReplyMisa is a superstar!
We have dined here for about thirty years and the food is consistently fresh and nicely prepared. Today, we had the great fortune to have Misa as our chef. Her showmanship and food prep were excellent, but when she started to sing, we were dazzled! Misa elevated our experience and we will specifically request her
Be the first to ReplyStandard teppanyaki with a singing chef
Itโs a challenge to get a table here to coincide with the fireworks but we managed to get a 6:50pm time and that worked well. Checked in via the app and shown straight to our table when we got upstairs. There are 20 teppanyaki tables each with 8 people so they turn around a huge number of people each day. If youโve been to a teppanyaki restaurant before everything will be familiar- you chose your meat or meat combo and you get a salad, meat, vegetables & noodles and boiled rice. The show is pretty standard as well although there arenโt any fire tricks. The soft drinks were regularly filled up through the evening. Our teppan chef was very friendly and did her job well. She had an excellent singing voice so used this to her advantage. The food was good rather than great - there is enough to fill you up but comes over as a little bland. Such a shame that you get boiled rice rather than fried as the teppan table is an excellent place to make fried rice! The meat was plentiful and good quality. Disappointed that the annual pass discount only applies to lunch not dinner - not sure this happens anywhere else? Overall probably deserves a rating of 3.5 rather than 4 but we had a good evening overall.

I donโt get it, hibachi is so simple. The chef was entertaining, however the food had no love. Very flat flavors, butter and soy, black pepper, and very bland dry seasoning nothing else, no garlic or ginger. Meat was undercooked in which I donโt understand, I ordered med rare and got it seared and blue. It comes with same flat flavored small portion of noodles with hardly any veg, plain white rice, not even fried. Epcot should be great it is a showcase, not a disappointment
Be the first to ReplyExcellent as always, but more flair and some fire would be appreciated
Love this place! Iโve eaten here probably about six times now, every time we visit. Itโs a classic. Itโs a staple. It cooks the best hibachi style food anywhere in the country. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is perfectly balanced, festive but also respectful, crowded but not too rowdy. The decor is impeccable. The food is impeccable. I would give it five stars โ but I have to give it four because Iโm always surprised about one big issue. There is no showmanship! There is no drama! And thereโs no use of fire!!!! These are jarring departures from what would probably be considered stereotypical American-style hibachi, which is probably (?) why Disney avoids them? in other words, we would love to see some fire. Like that onion volcano on fire! Light some oil on fire! And then clap your knife and flip your spatula a few times, maybe flip some food in the air, maybe throw something at somebodyโs face? Iโm not saying you have to squirt the PeePee doll at at the kids or spray sake in my mouth in a long thin stream for as long as I can bear it (although I wouldnโt say no), but can you please do something other than just quietly and professionally cook a perfect and delicious meal? Am I spoiled? Am I jaded? Have I been exposed to inauthentic hibachi, and Disneyโs version of hibachi is actually culturally appropriate and authentic? I can hardly believe so. I think Disney is just afraid of dealing with the liability of some fire, and they donโt trust chefs to have a consistently awesome level of drama so they tell them to do no drama. But these guys run roller coasters and pay people to dress up as furry animals and hug children. They can handle liability and they can train people to act and be dramatic in appropriate manners. They can handle risk. And so, their hibachi should have some fire and some pizzazz.
Be the first to ReplyA bit less than hoped for
Nice show and the food is generally good. Would have preferred fried rice to Japanese noodles though. Filet was wonderful. Chicken and shrimp good. A little light on the vegetables. Service was good and the chef was skilled and numerous. Had good rhythm too!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious piping hot meal
This is now our 3rd visit, and we still enjoyed the meal. Freshly cook, flavoursome and piping hot. Plenty of gluten free choices from the mains, but no choices for starters. Service very good and quick to refill drinks. Our chef was still earning her โearsโ but did an excellent job of keeping us entertained.
Be the first to ReplyEaten Here Many Times - Always Delicious and a Wonderful Experience
Our latest visit was during the busiest time of year on December 29,2022. Our reservation was early, 4:00pm. There were 6 of us all adults. We enjoyed all three of the combination dinners: Asakusa (Steak and Shrimp with udon noodles, vegs and steamed white rice) Nihobashi (Steak and Chicken served with the same as above) and Ueno (Chicken and Shrimp with salad, udon noodles and veg) We had another couple sitting at our table who were very enjoyable to get to know. Service was excellent. We had one person in our party with food allergies. The restaurant kindly prepared her food in the kitchen so there would be no problems. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyAverage
The dining rooms are moderate in size with a number of large cooking tables. Like most Disney restaurants, it is quite noisy. The menu is not self-explanatory, and whatever instructions we were given were inaudible given the background din. We eventually figured out this is a typical Japanese steakhouse with the cooking show on the heated table grill in front of you. The menu should have been clearer regarding this. There was little help from the server, and whatever was said, I couldn't hear. Eventually, we chose one app, octopus, and our mains. The app was above average. This was followed by a sad, standard lettuce salad with lots of uninspired dressing. The cook who was doing the steakhouse grilling was very fun. My wife had the standard steak. It was tough. I upgraded to the fillet. This was very tender, though it was overcooked beyond the rare I requested. We skipped dessert.
Be the first to ReplyGreat meal
We thought this was one of the best meals that we have had at Epcot. I had the Filet Mignon and my spouse had the Shrimp dinner, which we shared for a nice Surf n Turf meal, both steak and seafood were outstanding. The Miso salads were actually the best Miso salad weโve ever had, it was the delicious dressing that made the difference. The grilled veggies were quite good, the white rice was white rice. We also ordered the side of mushrooms, they were outstanding! Our server Jessica was very good, kept our drinks full and met all of our needs. Our chef was entertaining and a very talented cook. The only downside for us a couple, was that we had 2 small kids sitting beside us at our 8 seat table, so there wasnโt much conversation going on with them. But they were well behaved and they ordered sushi. We stayed up on the balcony afterwards and watched the fireworks.
Be the first to ReplyThe 50th Birthday Celebration Just Wasn't
We absolutely love eating at Teppan Edo and it is usually on every Disney trip dinner ~ Trust me it is many trips & dinners, approximately 4 times a year ~ This time it was just a bad experience Scheduled a 50th Birthday dinner for our final evening together on 11/17/2022 ~ We were a group of 14 ~ Arrived at 6:10pm to verify our 6:40pm reservation ~ I needed to make sure that we would be seated at 2 tables next to each other ~ I was assured that we would be and said that I would check the group in when everyone had arrived ~ Approximately 6:40pm I checked in stating that the Guest of Honor would be another 5 minutes getting up to the restaurant ~ When he arrived at 6:45pm I breathed a sigh of relief, returned to the podium to let them know that our party was complete At approximately 7:10pm we were finally called to be seated ~ I don't know what happened in that 1/2 hour that caused our tables to be separated but what a disappointment our celebration turned out to be ~ While we were put in the same dining area our tables were now on opposite sides and corners so now our backs are to each other for the most part We had with us 8 people who had never eaten at Teppan Edo and I had praised them so highly, deservingly so, which is why everyone agreed ~ I was extremely embarrassed at our experience that evening and do not recommend for larger groups ~ Our 50th Birthday Celebration Just Wasn't

Be the first to ReplyNot at all what it used to be
Been going to this restaurant in Epcot about half a dozen times.
This last time after the Pandemic......
Rice was COLD
Food was NOT TASTY
Host refused to allow us to sit at the regular table since Hibachi charges more....
Been there... NEVER AGAIN
Great meal away from the crowds
We're Disney veterans but have never eaten here until our most recent visit, reservations are a must and we got lucky at the last minute using the app. Aside from the great food is the chance to be in a smaller crowd of people while eating. After hours of being packed together in lines and rides, this gives you a chance to sit and relax a bit while enjoying the meal. The meal is huge, best for the end of the day, or as you're leaving the park otherwise you're just too full to do much walking.
Be the first to ReplyAn Excellent Meal and Entertainment Awaits You
I have dined at Teppan Edo on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The hibachi-cooked meals are delicious and prepared by very entertaining Japanese chefs. On this visit, my wife and I introduced my daughter's family to a wonderful Japanese restaurant located at WDW. Dining here is not inexpensive, however the quality of the meal along with the entertainment provided by the chef provides a very unique dining experience. Overall, a combined great dining and entertainment value. I recommend you give it a try - you will not be disappointed.
