Terrain Cafe Thornton Reviews
This restaurant is a very unique dining experience.
Besides the restaurant, it also features a very large gift shop, and a greenhouse. You can spend a hour just going through their compound. Once seated, you'll find a menu featuring mostly local sourced dishes. Portions were generous, and all
Saved by the Manager Brooke
After being seated for 20 minutes and no coffee or any sign of our waitress Brooke appeared as I was rising to leave. She kindly asked us what was the problem. I explained the situation and she said, โIโll bring your coffee.โ She also took our
I loved our little girls trip we did here.
We reserved one of the small cabins for a friends birthday. the food was great and the service was out of this world. Our good friend was supposed to be there but she cancelled last minute from nausea due to chemo and the restaurant bought her food.

Terrain has a lovely ambience and generally pleasing decor.
We went on a busy Sunday at noon. Service was slow and not particularly friendly. Meals were mediocre. The little cute white breads in the terracotta pots are a nice touch. My shakshuka was unconventional and poorly executed. There was absolutely no
Ate here with friends for the first time on 07/03/25.
I tried the corn fritters which were flavorful and different. The bbq pork loan was tasty and I loved my husband's rainbow trout. The drinks were on point. Service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance here is A+ with a beautiful garden vibe. W
Atmosphere is amazing.
Along with their garden store. On the evening we dined, service was just meh...put into our reservation that it was a special evening with a birthday to celebrate, and no one even recognized the note on the reservation. Although my braised beef was d
This place is very cute! Their brunch is amazing.
They also have great coffee & teas. Desserts are yummy. The service is always nice... although sometimes a little slow (depending on who you get and how busy the place is). Definitely a cute date night place or brunch with the girls!

The open, airy space is lovely, but unfortunately the rest of the experience doesn't live up to it. The service is neither very professional nor particularly friendly, and the night I went the Harvest Bowl was mediocre - the greens were wilted,

Take a jacket!
I would love to write a better review, but we didn't enjoy dinner because we were FREEZING! Everyone at the table was cold as soon as the air conditioning (loudly) kicked on. When it was off, we were fine. The food was good, but by dinnertime
Went to Terrain Cafe for a special birthday brunch.
We had reservations and were able to sit in the greenhouse which was very relaxed and a good experience. The ambiance was chill, green and a lot of sunlight while still being indoors. The service was fine. We ordered the Orange Tumeric Sunrise and

Attentive service and very cool tent/shack seating (also lovely indoor seating, too). Started with bevys: brews & imaginative mixed drinks. Cheese board with smoked salmon and prosciutto was very tasty & enough for four (with clay pot fresh b
Not what we thought it would be
First, I'll say that if I had read the reviews I'm reading now, I would have chosen somewhere else. That being said, we went to celebrate my SIL's birthday and because a friend had given me a rave review and had been there a few times,
Very disappointed
Myself and friend grabbed a seat at the empty bar while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. The bartender was training herself to make drinks by using a book of recipes. She was polite and the drinks were good, she was also making drinks f
Disappointing mixture of food/service
My wife has been here a few times for lunch and wanted to take the family out for a Christmas treat so we had a 7.30pm reservation last night (Sunday). The temperature outside was mid-teens and this seeped into the restaurant (which has a lot of gla
Big disappointment!
My husband and I were spending the night in the area. A reservation opened up and so he snagged it. The menu read well online, but when we arrived three of the entrรฉes (lasagna, pot pie, and short rib) were sold out even though it was only 6:30. We
Food average at best. Adjoining store unique and beautiful.
The setting is lovely. Hostess/servers okay. Food not so much. At best, brunch is upper-scale diner food at 2X the cost. Although the atmosphere, menu descriptions and prices are sophisticated it is way too expensive for for regular eggs, tomato sau
Still good
Still an amazing place, the green house give an special and relaxing ambiance. Now they have a full bar, so will come the time for a corkage fee. I use to go, several years in a row at day before Thanksgiving, at this time only the brunch menu were a
Off putting service
It has been over a year since my last disappointing experience at Terrain. I gave it another try because it was geographically convenient for my guests. My main complaint, every time, is the attitude of the staff, especially the hostess. You are pr
If You Canโt Cook Pasta, Then Donโt Have It On The Menu
The new outdoor dining area looks great. Sorry that I canโt say the same for the meal we were served yesterday, June 12th. My wife and I ordered the pasta dish with fresh vegetables from the dinner menu. It was terrible. The pasta was so overcooked
Superb
The ambience, the first-rate service, the classy clientele, the great food in rustic surroundings on a lazy, sunny day, reasonable prices. Nothing could be finer or more delightful.
Connect with users posting reservations for Terrain Cafe Thornton
AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Terrain Cafe Thornton. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.
Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Terrain Cafe Thornton at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Terrain Cafe Thornton page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Terrain Cafe Thornton to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Terrain Cafe Thornton!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
