We had booked 2 tables for a family lunch on 13 March 2022 (Sunday). When we have reached there, we were being approached by one of the Manager called Fib. But his gesture showed that he was not in the “mood” to greet customers-Out first incident.
We were seated. Second incident, while pouring the glass of drinks to one of the family, he did not cover his mouth with a mask(it was half removed)
Thirdly- A lady came in with her child, opened the door and waited to be seated. He replied “Come in! Sit down!” With a very unpleasant and rude tone.
Fourth-We were ready to asked for our orders, but again, he was so impatient and asked my niece, “would you like pasta or bun for your food”. With an unclear tone, my niece could not understand, so he repeat in a pissed way. And before that, my sister did tell him to wear his mask properly, again his gesture was very rude, and unwillingly do it.
Lastly, as he wanted to serve my mom with the water, my mom asked “is this water from the pipe?” Cos she saw with her own eyes, instead of boiled water, he got it from the pipe!
We were so disappointed that we told him we will cancel the order and we left. Even the lady with the child also left.
This is my second time and we were so disappointed at the poor service and attitude of the manager. I am not sure why there are always good reviews about the restaurant, with celebrities writing good food and good waiters?! The first time we went here was in 2017, and it was very good service and food.
I would like to highlight that even if you do not have enough manpower,the manager should not have the right to show his rude and unpleasant attitude towards the customers. Customers want good service and from good service, there will be more “return customers” .
Malayan Council in Arab Street is a total flop! The Manager named Fib should go for training. If he is not happy, please do not show it to the customers, be professional. Very bad service!! Will never return. You have lost customers and lost your revenue. Wasted..0 star!
