The Palm Court New York Reviews from The Last Year
Carlos is the best!
We visited the Palm Court bar on a Monday afternoon for a celebratory drink. We were greeted by the hosts who kindly pointed us to two free seats at the bar. Once we sat down, Carlos came straight over and provided us with some beautiful cocktail menu’s and some water. Our cocktails were delicious and refreshing and Carlos was super attentive and delightful throughout. He also provided us with postcards and explained the hotel would send these on our behalf - what a cute touch! He was such a cheery character to have behind the bar. The only reason this is 4 out of 5 stars is due to another bartender (Laura) creating an uncomfortable atmosphere at times due to guests at the bar that she knew. Completely understand this was an opportunity for them to catch up, however it was extremely loud, everyone at the bar could hear the full conversation and we were unable to concentrate on our own conversation and fully enjoy the experience. We were not provided the same level of hospitality that we witnessed these guests receive, which was disappointing. However Carlos went above and beyond to provide a great experience for us.
WATCH YOUR PURSE!!!
I went to afternoon tea here this weekend and I have to say for the money spent, I do not think it was worth it. Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful space, but I felt that the tea is very overpriced for what you get. We got the Central Park tea and it was ok. The bill was $395. On top of the so-so experience, my wallet was stolen right out of my purse. I didn't realize it until we were ready to pay. We were sitting (facing the hostess stand) all the way to the left in the back corner even with a pillar. My purse on the floor between the pillar and me the whole time. I checked at the bar as we had had a drink prior to be sat - they didn't have it. I then checked at the hostess stand and they didn't have it. I spoke to Emily, I assume she was the manager, and she alerted security. I was told that there are cameras everywhere and security will go through the footage. Security finally came down to us and showed us the footage and it shows me paying the bar bill, putting the wallet in my purse and then walking to my table. Security made me feel as if it was my fault. The gentleman also told me that they do not have cameras in the area we were sitting in. More than one person from the waitstaff said that there are cameras everywhere. Not sure if they do or not but not sure why that wasn't checked if they do. I don't usually go to NYC with a purse, but I figured I was going to The Plaza Hotel, a five star hotel, so I'll just bring that. My mistake! It was not safe and should have just taken my small cross body travel bag with what I needed instead of my full wallet. Such a disappointment.

We included afternoon tea in our bachelorette celebration
We included afternoon tea in our bachelorette celebration for my soon to be SIL this weekend, and it will be a cherished memory for years to come! The restaurant itself is gorgeous, and the staff were very welcoming! Our server brought out a special cake for our bride to be which was a great touch! I am still thinking about the foie gras and caviar bite! Yum! This was a pricey lunch, but it was worth the splurge.
I we t to the Palm Court at the Plaza Hotel today.
I went to have a drink at the bar with a friend. We then were shown to our table.

A classic NY destination I think if you're looking for an afternoon tea this is an amazing place to visit the decor inside is gorgeous and very picturesque. I got the Central Park set and 2 teas. Their white tea was one of the best I ever had and all of the servers were very kind and friendly. Overall I think its great to go one time as it was quite expensive, they included a gratuity and our total came out to over $300.
Beautiful Court with Lackluster Afternoon Tea
The Palm Court is decorated beautifully, with a shocking amount of orchids crammed into various vases wafting a floral perfume at the entrance to greet guests. I'd definitely suggest coming with reservations, as it's a popular location. When the Palm Court called to confirm my reservation, I was told the dress code is business casual - this dress code can be ignored as half the guests dining in the court were dressed casually. However, the Palm Court's afternoon tea is strikingly disappointing. With a hefty price tag of $120 for the cheapest afternoon tea set (among the most expensive if not the most expensive in Manhattan), the entire meal should be set up with extravagance. Some finger sandwiches do try to deliver on this, the egg custard sandwich includes a pairing of strawberry jam, which was jarring and off-putting. The watermelon & halloumi basket was also an outpouring of flavor - far too intense for the bite size and also a confusing amalgamation of flavors with each forced swallow. There are also far too many pastries that are far too sweet with tea not nearly bitter enough to counter it. To our despair, the tea, once served in a pot, cannot steep any longer - the Palm Court does not serve it with loose leaves or a tea bag. Overall, you can find other equally luxurious afternoon teas in the immediate vicinity for less money, better food and tea, and equally beautiful surroundings.

Mmmm... Have been here many times. Came in recently with my fiance and we were wearing sandals (Olukai brand by THE way). The hostess said we couldn't come in with sandals. But we defended ourselves by pointing out all the MANY patrons who were already at the bar and parlor with sandals on. Talk about being discriminatory... She still tried to fight us and we persisted. She then said, 'You can sit at the END of the bar'. FINE @$$ entry and service from the hostess hands down I must tell you... Left a sour taste in my mouth. Have a sign at the door that indicates such and adhere to it for ALL guests, don't be discriminatory and annoying. 5 stars for the bartenders as usual. 0 stars for the hostess who doesn't know what 'regulars' are. Average of '3 stars' because we all know why...

I'm so thrilled that my friend managed to snag a last minute reservation at the Palm Court. The overall ambiance is glamorous and elegant. My friend and I both ordered the Central Park Tea with Duval-Leroy Rose. It came with 5 different types of sandwiches, 2 flavors of scones (original and blueberry), pastries and sweets, tea, and the glass of bubbly. I was so full by the time I finished the sandwiches and scones, and had to pack the desserts to go. The sandwiches all tasted terrific, but my favorite one was the roast beef. I also really enjoyed the scones because they're flaky and warm. They went so well with the cream and jam. Additionally, our server, Fariz Tello, was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He provided great recommendations when I had no idea what tea to order and took awesome pictures of us from different angles. Fariz also checked in on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. The customer service was wonderful. I honestly think Fariz made our already positive experience even better.
Wonderful experience for my birthday.
I didn't note it in the reservation but the host took notice and informed the server upon arrival. Did not expect a surprise birthday chocolatey treat and enjoyed it so much. Beautiful setting and delicious tea. Both savory and sweet items were flavorful. Roast beef with horseradish and salmon with roe garnished with greens were my favorite. Loved the dark cherry Macaron and many of the sweets paired well with pot of oolong. Thank you for wonderful experience that made my day extra special!
Afternoon tea
We had such a lovely time for afternoon tea. The Palm Court is beautiful. Our server Shalim was attentive, friendly, and kind. Great tea sandwiches and pastries. Would definitely recommend to celebrate a special occasion. We will be back soon!
Gorgeous magenta stained glass ceiling! An old NY
Gorgeous magenta stained glass ceiling! An old NY establishment that's cashing in from its former glory. Dining seating schema and decor are atrocious. The number of tables are sparse. The silver colored mirror-finish stainless tables reflect the emptiness of the room. Then there's the much sought-after set-in rococo couches that are cheap-looking and ugly. Apparently whoever is responsible for the design of the Palm Court decided elegant Victorian ceiling, cheap cold modernist tables, and ugly oversized rococo couches should go together. Did I cover the color schema? Magenta purple + silver + mud brown? What a wonderful way to combine uncomplimentary colors! The atmosphere is cold and sterile. The sparseness of the tables and the cold reflection of the tabletops upholster that image. The service is not great. Out of a 10% filled seatings, we were brought to a table all the way in the corner, nearly outside of the court, next to a column. When the waitress came to take our order, she was only interested in taking the orders-- she refused to make recommendations and was uninterested in engaging us in any other way. After my companion's order arrived, we waited for 15 mins before realizing that the waitress had neglected to bring the beer- the only thing I ordered (and the only reason we stopped by for short, as I wanted a small something before heading home). When we flagged her to our table about the beer, and kindly chucked it as if my order was too quiet for her to hear earlier-- she offered no apologies nor niceties DESPITE the fact that I clearly heard her repeating my beer order for me the first time she took our order. My companion was upset enough to talk to the waitress, and unbeknown to me, requested to waive the beer. Next thing I know, the head waitress approached me with the bill, in it's full amount, and asked me how the beer was. My dear, the beer is fine. Your service, however, sucks. Oh, and the food sucks too-- the cheesecake was nothing to write home about. If you are going to charge a Palm Court/The Plaza price, I expect the service and the food to be reflective in its price. Instead, I felt like I was in a cafeteria. Improve your services and food, then maybe your service staff can keep their entitled attitude. (Actually, I take my cafeteria allusion back-- at least in cafeterias, the services are better) In short: The Palm Court is ideal for girls up to 25 yrs young of heart, who wish to visit The Plaza for its atmosphere. Just keep in mind the much-sought-after couches are ugly. And the service can be bad if you only spend $50. I have never felt more un-welcomed and condescended in any other places in New York, aside from the service and atmosphere of this particular 5-star hotel/hospitality establishment.
Amazing experience! Value for money?
The Palm Court is definitely a stunning and indulgent experience. The Plaza is iconic, and the surroundings are beautiful, the staff were attentive but the actual afternoon tea felt a bit lacking. The quality of food was good (scones were not quite up to uk standards), but it was a tad lacking for the cost. We knew the prices on the menu as we looked before hand so knew it would be pricey and we were willing to pay for the experience but to then be charged $12 for a bottle of water we assumed was free, plus 18% gratuity and tax our total bill was close to $350! When you consider we were there just over an hour, it doesn't really add up When you consider The Ritz in London is just as iconic and they keep topping up your food and it's half the cost it doesn't quite match. If you do want to experience the Plaza then maybe have a drink at the champagne bar and skip the afternoon tea, in hindsight we would have gone for that option had we been before
An experience it was.
You are in The Plaza which evokes elegance. Dress code business casual; however we did see a party dressed in jeans. The service was exceptional. The tea was soothing as we each chose a different option. The sandwiches and sweets were a delight to our tastebuds.
I'll get straight to the point-we had quite a terrible
I'll get straight to the point-we had quite a terrible experience here this past Sunday. I've had the pleasure of enjoying high tea at some amazing establishments, particularly in Tokyo, where the food is prepared fresh, the dishes are inventive, and the service is flawless. And where they actually take patrons' dietary restrictions and allergies into consideration. Sadly, none of that was the case at The Palm Court, where our experience bordered between laughably bad and ghastly. We had an afternoon tea reservation, and it took quite a while to be seated after checking in at the host stand. The venue itself is quite beautiful, with a circular bar in the middle of the dining room (but it seems strange to have open bar seating at high tea...maybe that's just me). Our dietary restrictions were acknowledged at the host stand, and we confirmed another three times with the server and other staff. We had to ask multiple staff if our server would come to the table as it was approaching 15-20 minutes without anyone coming by. On multiple occasions, we were told, "He's coming." When he finally did come, he dropped the menus quickly and headed off, without so much as a word about what would work with our dietary restrictions, especially those of my friend who is vegan and gluten-free. We asked for him to return and to explain which options would work for us, and he was unclear on which items were not vegan-friendly. He eventually said there was a special vegan, gluten-free tea set that she could be served, and we confirmed again the dietary restrictions. Time passed. When our tiers arrived, the ones for my friend looked very non-vegan and non-gluten free just from looking at them, so we asked if these were the right dishes, even being so specific as to point at the ones that seemed questionable. The server confirmed a FOURTH time and told us those dishes were definitely vegan and gluten-free. My friend ate part of one sandwich and, upon opening it, found that it had deli meat. Checking other dishes, they had other salmon, meats, dairy, and regular glutinous bread. We called over the server, who at first tried to argue that he had brought the correct dishes, which was clearly incorrect. Then he seemed confused and said he would have to check with the chef and we asked for a manager, and we were informed by the assistant food & beverage manager Emily that despite the quadruple-confirmation, my friend's tiers had been switched with someone else's in the kitchen. This is patently unacceptable at this sort of establishment, but what made it worse was that even when faced with the issue that was clearly on their end, the staff at first pushed back. Emily was apologetic and offered complimentary champagne, although by this time, our high tea experience was thoroughly derailed. The incorrect tiers were removed and the vegan ones brought over, although the desserts looked like they might contain dairy, so--having no confidence in the Palm Court's abilities thus far--we asked for the pastry chef. He did indeed come out (in more or less sweatpants, but sure) and was able to cogently explain the protein type used in the dishes, which was helpful. As my friend began to eat her sandwiches, we noticed that they included such gems as white gluten-free bread with sliced cucumber. No sauce, nothing inventive or creative--rather just the bare minimum, which is far less than one would expect at this price point. As this whole debacle transpired, we were never approached to refill tea or check whether we'd like to try another tea. I in fact refilled my tea (the organic L'Herboriste number 108, a fruity herbal tea that I would rate a 3.5 out of 5) three times before the server came over to check at all. As for the actual sandwiches and savories, the Moroccan spiced lamb was the most palatable for me. That isn't saying much, since it seemed that for both my and my friend's tiers, the ingredients didn't seem to be very fresh. If they were in fact fresh, they fooled both of us, and my assortment of dishes (except for one dessert) were edible but not much more than that. Having become accustomed to an elevated experience at high tea around the world, it was incredibly disappointing for this experience to feel more like the basement. This was our last meal during my celebratory weekend in Manhattan, and from the poor service to the terrible switching of plates in the kitchen and subsequent hot mess that ensued, we were sorely disappointed. We ended up leaving earlier than anticipated as my friend wasn't feeling well after the meat/dairy/gluten sandwich. Before we departed the venue, we checked in with the host stand to request the manager's business card as the assistant manager had recently joined the company and did not have business cards. The lady at the host stand was kind and, while she wasn't able to produce the card we were seeking, we did appreciate her attention. On the whole, we were shocked in the worst way.
Afternoon Tea at the Palm New York
We booked afternoon tea at The Palm New York as part of our 30th wedding anniversary celebrations and were not disappointed. The surroundings were magnificent and the sandwiches, cakes and tea were very good. We chose the champagne afternoon tea - very good, and were provided with an extra cake and extra champagne as it was our anniversary. A very enjoyable event.
The best tea time in the city!
Went for tea with some friends. The staff is great. Very attentive, very friendly. They explained the menu throughly and answered any questions that we had. The food and tea were amazing. I’ve never experienced tea the way I did at here. It’s a must if you’re in the city!!
Please DO NOT visit Palm Court Plaza Hotel
This was to be the highlight of our family trip to New York on my wife’s 50th birthday. Having previously experienced afternoon tea at the Ritz London our expectations for New York were high. We booked a table for 5 well in advance and arrived smartly dressed at the allotted time. From some reason we were kept waiting as we watched others arrive and be seated. Eventually seated we ordered the 5 x Central Park Tea, two with a glass of champagne. The waiter bought the tea. This at the tone. He couldn’t recall which was which and reverted to lifting the lid from the tea pot to smell the contents. The food then arrived. Underwhelming. A small selection. The scones were under cooked, our daughters completely raw. The bread on some of the sandwiches was stale. One small pot of cream between 5. When we asked for more cream we were informed by the waiter ‘I don’t think so, but I will ask.’ When we showed him the raw scone he said ‘I will see if they have another one but I don’t think so.’ Enough was enough and I asked to see the manager. After a wait a woman appeared. I’m not sure what she managed but an acceptable discount wasn’t one of them. She returned with the bill, $765 (yes you read that correctly). This included $118 gratuity! After stewing for a few minutes I again asked to see the manager. She eventually reappeared and advised she would escalate up the chain. Davod then made an appearance. He introduced himself as the bar manager. He was polite and listened as we explained the dining experience fell well short of our expectations. After a further wait a revised bill of $535 was presented + a few complimentary cakes and some tea to take away. Value for money it most certainly was not. I applaud anyone considering visiting Palm Court to think again.
Tony & the team make the Palm Court a cheery respite.
I had a delicious dinner at the bar in late March 2024. I checked in at the host stand and was offered an immediate seat at the bar or a table with an approximate wait time of 15 minutes. Tony and the team at the Palm Court were attentive and the food was delicious. It was fun to craft a customized spirit-free beverage. Lovely space. Worth a visit.
The overall experience is very average.
Hmm... I should say it's very bad. The restaurant is dark, not very suitable for taking pictures, and the food is not delicious... The most basic one for the four of us is $95/person. If you only want to order three or two portions, the remaining people need to pay $30 each, which is equivalent to the cost of tea. The waiter seemed to be an Indian or Pakistani uncle, and there was an embarrassing moment in the middle. We told him that we need to add some hot water to the teapot; he then asked me what kind of tea was in it. While I was answering him, the uncle took off his mask and put his nose directly to the spout of the teapot with the lid off to smell it! ! ! What kind of disgusting operation is this?
The food and service is good but be warned I read on
The food and service is good but be warned I read on website and called hotel and was told the palm court breakfast is open from 6-10 am I got there at 9:30 and was told breakfast for guests at hotel open till 10 non guests till 9 I was mad they offered to eat in champagne bar but I said no I ate afternoon tea which cost me $465 for 3
While I have been fortunate to savor delightful high tea
While I have been fortunate to savor delightful high tea experiences at various places around the world, Palm Court left me longing for the excellence and sophistication that define the true essence of the high tea tradition. While priced comparable to other esteemed high tea places, it lacks the quality and quantity in food, creativity in the menu, and the service fell far short of expectations.
Anniversary meal
We went for our anniversary meal and it was truly a lovely evening. The staff were attentive, polite and even complimented my wife on her dress. The ambience was great and the service brilliant. The only negative was that I couldn’t get a black coffee unless I was staying at the hotel, not sure why but this did not ruin our evening. Would definitely go back
Unique and posh experience.
Afternoon tea here was a great experience. Pricey, but the luxury fits the price tag. It felt like I was in England at a posh tea club. I don't think there is anywhere I will experience this in the US. He food and service were outstanding and our servers, especially Khalid, were gracious, kind, patient, and thoughtful. I would recommend this experience to anyone for a great Sunday afternoon event. Great for birthdays, couples date, or girls day out tbh. I went with my girlfriend and we loved it.

I came here for a birthday high tea on a Saturday, and the decor is gorgeous, definitely an upscale place. However, the price is quite steep and the service and food don't match it. I will say, I have a great experience with our server, but even with a reservation, we had to wait in a long line to get seated. And when I got up to go to the restroom to wash my hands, 1) it was super far away from the dining room on the 2nd floor, and 2) there was a staff member in the women's restroom (a man) who seemed to be refilling the toilet paper who was super rude. I pushed the door open to try and go into the restroom, and the man yelled "no, you can't come in here!" I told him I just needed to wash my hands, and he just yelled "no!" and slammed the door closed and locked the restroom. For a hotel and restaurant of this caliber, you would expect much more polite staff. The man was extremely rude and mean, and when he eventually came out, there wasn't even hand soap in the dispenser. Seriously?? If you're going to rudely shut the door on a guest while maintaining the restroom, at least make sure everything is in place?? Overall, the high tea experience is very fancy if that's what you are looking for, and the sandwiches and pastries are delicious. They did give me and my friend small chocolate cakes with candles to celebrate our birthdays, and our server was really sweet. But the staff members in other parts of the hotel definitely need some training on how to treat their guests. The guy in the bathroom definitely soured the experience. He didn't even apologize and was rude for no reason.
Amazing service from Syed
We went to the Palm Court for Afternoon tea just yesterday for our Wedding Anniversary the whole experience was amazing we were treated like royalty. Our server Syed could not do enough for us and made our day, such a lovely man.We also had drinks in the champagne bar next door and the staff in there also were first class.
Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing afternoon
Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing afternoon tea experiences I have ever had. The Plaza is GORGEOUS and part of going to tea here is just the experience of being in the Plaza. But with that said, it's an expensive afternoon tea at about $150 a person after tax and tip (which is included) so you expect the food to be good. But it was wildly disappointing. With the basic tea you get two scones - a savory scone which is actually very good and a double chocolate scone which is very dry. You get 5 tea sandwiches, only one of which we enjoyed. The classic cucumber sandwich is good, but the egg sandwich is more of a firm egg custard with strawberry jam that is an unpleasant texture with little taste. The Moroccan lamb sandwich has good flavor but the texture was extremely off-putting and paste like, the pastrami salmon was fishy, and the grape and cheese was fine but the cheese is strong (it is a blue cheese which can be polarizing but it's fine). The dessert selection includes a macaron which is good, a cheesecake that has a nice flavor but a soggy crust, a hazelnut rocher with improperly set mousse, an ube tart with another soggy crust and caramel tart which was fine. After a disappointing meal, we were also rushed out of there! We had a 4PM tea reservation, which is the last slot of the day. They begin happy hour around 5 in the Palm Court so the wait staff rushed us out (to go containers on the table while we were still eating, check before we asked for it, table cleared before we signed the check, etc.). It would be one thing if we were just sitting around but we had to wait a long time for the food to even come out so we had very little time to have the tea experience - turns out it was a good thing we didn't like the food because we wouldn't have had time to eat it all anyway! All in all - absolutely skip afternoon tea here. Save your dollars and go to the Crosby for half the price.
Great Service and Amazing Food & Tea
Fariz, our waiter, was fabulous. He made each of us feel special. He serves with an old-world elegance and keeps refills and extras coming! The tea sandwiches, scones and desserts were amazing. You would neced imagine that such light food would fill you up like that! I took my niece and nephew there to celebrate her promotion at work and it was the perfect spot for the occasion!
Christmas afternoon tea
We went here when we were holidaying in New York as a birthday celebration. The food was absolutely delicious and as a surprise we were given a cake for my birthday. As the chef was walking through the restaurant I complimented her on the food as the standard was so high. As we were leaving she brought us some Plaza chocolates which was unexpected and delicious at the same time. This is a really special location for afternoon tea so we overlooked the extreme cost of the afternoon. I found it quite disrespectful to add 18% to our bill as our tip. The service was extremely poor and the only time that we saw our server was when we first sat down at our table. Someone at a neighbouring table was complaining quite loudly about the champagne and all of the staff seemed to be bending over backwards to make him happy which is possibly why we were neglected. The place was full so I guess they don't have to offer exceptional service as they know they will still be full every day.
Outstanding service from Khalid at The Palm Court
Beautiful establishment! We had excellent service from our secondary waiter Khalid. (Not sure if the spelling is correct. He was so attentive and kind. OUTSTANDING service from him
It's The Plaza.
It's The Palm Court. It's all about ambiance, the history, and the sweets. I assume reservations are a must. Arriving, we were immediately greeted by plenty of staff who were happy to hear it was my birthday and usher us over to our people and place watching table for the next hour and a half or so. The seating is comfortable and the view is historic, but I surprised that no one asked to check our coats and by our table's proximity to a server staging area. Looking at the China, I couldn't help but think the gold trim wearing off at the edges was as fitting a metaphor for the deluge of American capitalism as you'll find anywhere. The whole space is beautiful and classic, but in many ways, the best way to spend your time is people watching. As far as I can tell, the three most common patrons are families with young daughters who recently read Eloise, people wearing velvet, and probably oligarchs each of whom add their own character to the proceedings. The food was mostly very tasty. The scones are best enjoyed first and warm, then finger sandwiches that are toasted that perfect amount that gives a little crisp without browning, the caviar macaroon is best avoided entirely as it's an abomination of the highest order although warranted a photo, then the sweets, which are ample, varied, and all delicious. The tea itself was served hot in a big pot and very delicious. As we were wrapping up, they brought over a very tasty slice of chocolate cake with a candle and some happy birthday chocolates, a great ending note. All in all, tea at The Palm Court was a nice once in a lifetime treat although I have to dock a star for the little things at the price point.
Some of the most rude service I've experienced in NYC.
Very surprising for a tea service that cost 150+ per perso. Would not recommend. We arrived early and checked in with the hostess, and she took our name and said to return in 20 mins for seating. When we came back in 20 mins, a long line had formed but I figured we had already checked in and could skip it. Nope, the hostess told us to wait in the line for another 20 mins. So bizarre - why wouldn't she tell us to get in line in the first place? Why did we need to check in with her twice? Then later I asked a server to take a photo of our table because we were celebrating a birthday. She said "No I'm not allowed" and walked away. Truly bizarre.
Great experience!
This was our first time having afternoon tea at The Plaza. They gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and were seated right way. Fariz Tello was our server and he was great! He was attentive, professional and friendly. The food and tea were delicious.
Khalid Rocks!
We received the finest service in every way from Khalid. He was awesome.. told us stories, the history of the plaza, and held a professional standard photo shoot for our visit! This man needs to be promoted to waiter ASAP!
Had afternoon tea.
Nice location and delish pastries. Attention and service at the table were good; however, I felt there is room for improvement - reason why I gave it 4-stars! was superb and staff truly made my stay feel special.
The palm court is what it is.
It's a fun experience for a tourist. It's loud, crowded, and touristy. The high tea choices are pretty limited, but still tasty and you get a lot of food. If you are looking for a tourist experience, go here. If you are looking for a romantic, swanky high tea, go else here
Complete Rip Off Tourist Trap
I am a New Yorker as well as my children. I’ve always enjoyed every few years taking my grandchildren for tea at the Palm Court. This year my daughter, her two children, ages 6 and 4, another grandson, aged 10 and I went for tea. There was an attraction for Eloise with the 6 year old. There were two adults and 3 children. The total of our bill was $842 which I think is outrageous. Although the Palm Court is still lovely, the food was not great. The kids had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, not that there is anything wrong with that, but for $842? It’s not worth the money. My daughter and I were disappointed and I didn’t like being ripped off. An 18% tip was included. By the way, my daughter and I didn’t have any champagne or any other alcohol.
Best Brunch
This was such an amazing experience! The service was top notch, we had Khalid as our server and he made sure our experience was superb. His thoughtfulness and attention to detail made this experience the best meal we had while in New York.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
