3 stars for the food but took 2 stars off for the hygiene and bad service. The Indian guys working there seemed really grumpy and some couldn't seem to understand English. Had to go through THREE guys for my one order of banana prata. Hygiene : their kitchen looked filthy and there was a random pigeon walking around in the kitchen. Stray birds carry diseases so kinda grossed out that it flew into the kitchen and it was just walking around in it. Teh ping was delicious and rich. Not sure if I'll come back cuz there are other good prata houses on island.
Be the first to ReplyMy favourite chicken biriyani is here.
Biriyani rice, curry chicken, two sets of poppadoms and a the tarik for $7.50. Delicious and wonderful value for money. I'd eat here everyday if it wasn't so fattening HAHAHAHA.

I have just tasted the roti prata and the ice tea from the roti prata house yesterday. My first impression was that the service was extremely quick in terms of them taking the orders of the customers. With regarda about the food there,i felt ย that it is not a bad experience as when i first tasted the prata it was served hot and fresh with the texture is extremely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.I have the cheese, plain and egg flavours which the cheese definitely stands out the ย most.Instead,if the curry is serve hot,it will be better.

I always go there for late dinner/supper after macro photography with my friends. Their nasi goreng mutton masala and chicken cheese and mushroom murtabak are our favourite dishes. Their teh halia is also good, not overly sweet or "gingery". Parking is a nightmare, haha...
Be the first to ReplyIts a good place to have a late night supper.
I tried the roti prata with durian and ice horlick. Taste good!!CONCLUSION = RECOMMENDED!!
Be the first to ReplyPlain Prata dipped in curry = AWESOME.
This was my first time trying Prata so I can't compare it to other places. The prata alone was delicious and flakey, but with the curry that comes with it..it was amazing. It was a bit far from where my friends and I were staying in singapore, but it was worth the trek. I also got the maggi goreng. It was good - tasted like spicy pan fried ramen noodles (in a good way). I probably wouldn't come back here for the maggi goreng alone, but for the plain prata, I definitely would. TIP: you seat yourself and a waiter comes by to take your order. They leave a blue paper which you bring to the register at the end to pay for your meal.
Be the first to ReplyIt is famous for its crispy prata.
However, when I tasted it, it is so hard and not crispy at all. As usual, we stand there like almost 10 mins just to get the worker to clear the table. When we ordered the things, they seems like impatient and miss our order. The Maggie goreng is the best among what we ordered. Mee Goreng is tasteless. The mutton soup comes with a very thick layer of oil but the meat is soft and tender.
Be the first to ReplyYou'd think with the crowd they have you're in for a treat.
Quite far from that. The teh halia wasn't hot and lacked umph. The kaya bomb was, well, it wasn't da bomb! Plain prata was just, bland. The only saving grace was the egg onion that actually came crispy and fresh. Service is close to non existent. There was a traffic jam to pay! So less said the better. I won't be back.

(I feel the need to rant and share this so that other people won't experience the same unhappiness that I did) Guys, DON'T GO TO "THE ROTI PRATA HOUSE".The service was SO bad. The waiter spilled curry all over me and he was SO unapologetic about it. My dress, bag and phone were all stained with curry and as I type this, I smell like curry LOL. Initially, I kept calm about it and told him it was okay because deep down I recognised that it was both our faults. He let go too soon when I haven't received the plate properly. It was unfair for him to take the blame alone. But I lost it when he told his supervisor that I FLIPPED the plate. Like what the FUCK??? He pushed ALL the blame onto me. It was a cowardly thing to say and he didn't even apologise for spilling curry ALL OVER ME. When my dad pointed this out, all he said was "sorry OKAY, everyone makes mistakes." Insincere, cowardly, unapologetic and a disgrace to the human race. I understand that he doesn't want to lose his job but giving a sincere apology was the least he could do. He was lucky that we let him off with just some chiding, without asking him to pay a compensation fee. It was enough drama for the day and not worth the extra rise in blood pressure. His supervisor was insincere and obnoxious as well, and was super impatient when taking our orders, telling us to "HURRY UP". It wasn't as if there were many customers in the shop because we visited past lunch time. Basically, the service overall was like SHIT and it's really not worth the visit unless you want your mood ruined. There are many other prata shops out there with better service and prata, like causarina or the springleaf prata. Just a warning, so you won't have to suffer the same disgrace and unhappiness that I did.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Prata options, from plain original to sweet kind.
I particularly love the Milky Cheese which has the perfect blend of sweet and saltiness.
