The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen™ Orlando Reviews from The Last Year

This was our only sit down restaurant experience at Universal Orlando, but we thought it was great. The food was really good and the theming was cool. The characters came around and talked with our daughter and were so friendly. Very glad we were recommended this place by a family member.

Awful food!
We arrived a little early for our reservation and we're asked to loiter until called for, no waiting area or bar. Our party was called around 10 minutes after our booked time, they seemed to prioritise larger parties and we had heard another family query this with the host. The menu was fairly large and sounded appealing. The food arrived quickly after ordering. The chicken wings were incredibly dry, almost inedible. I couldn't raise any concerns with our server as she didn't bother to check in with us at any point after taking our order except to clear the plates. I had ordered a salad and the ingredients were nice and fresh, but the chef seemed to think they needed a litre of the vinaigrette dressing, again almost inedible. Didn't stick around for dessert. The table next to us actually approached us to strike up s conversation about how bad it was. The only good thing we're the characters, they were really friendly and stopped by every table for a chat

I work in the medical field and have numerous allergies to food. My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of greatness. From our lovely waitress Farrah to the amazing manager Micha- who is also there part-time chef, I was immediately at ease. They handled all of my dietary restrictions without flinching- it is honestly the first time I felt so comfortable in a restaurant in a long time. All I can continue to say is thank you for excellent customer service, tasty food and the sweet atmosphere.
Visited Toothsome on my first day at the Universal Orlando
Visited Toothsome on my first day at the Universal Orlando stay. Saw all the good reviews on yelp and made the reservation weeks in advance. Once we arrived, we checked in with the staff that was located at the front of the restaurant entrance. We had to wait around 5-10mins before being seated. For appetizers we ordered the chocolate bread which was delicious and the truffle fries! The fries came out stale but they remade it when we brought it to our servers attention. The bread came with a salt caramel butter which paired perfectly with the bread. For entrees we got the burger and chicken bercy. The chocolate martini was sweet but really good. We decided not to order dessert and grabbed sweet treats from their candy store. All the food was super delicious and we got to meet the robot and grab some cute pictures. From their candy store we got the box of macaroons that we ate by the pool in our hotel. They are probably one of the best macaroons that we've had. Overall, everything was super delicious and had a chocolate twist to it. We enjoyed everything and hope to come back again on our next visit to Universal.
Great Lunch great atmosphere
The avocado bruschetta is amazing. We had 2 (non-alcoholic) iced-teas and bruschetta and pork belly sliders. We loved the experience (and especially the bruschetta!) . We scheduled to return the following Friday for dinner with our husbands so they could enjoy the atmosphere and experience what we had already seen. I would definitely recommend reserving a table, it made the wait a lot less stressful and we were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. Thank you
Go for photos but go elsewhere for a milkshake
I went for a milkshake after seeing other people post photos. They are really beautiful. But the quality is awful. The chocolate was inedible (tasted like chocolate from DollarTree), the whipped cream wasn't real cream but a synthetic tasting topping, the ice cream sandwich was poor, and the actual milkshake, while sweet and cold, wasn't creamy. Such a disappointment. You do get to keep the plastic glass but at $18 a pop it is definitely not worth it. Even if they were $5, I’d skip it. Chic-fil-A’s milkshakes are 10x better. Even McD’s are better.
Great cocktails and food!
I always go to the bar for food and drinks before I start my day at the parks. All the bartenders are amazing and provide such great service. Peyton, Barbie, Austin, Reese, and Jordan. I know I'm missing some others! Jordan made me a drink once that he said would be on the menu for spring. It was delicious and I need that recipe! It should also be on the menu all year round. My vote for the name is Jacques Tai! Don't ever change or tweak that recipe! The food here is also great. Lots of options from pub to fine dining selections. See you all in April!
Not bad
Not bad. Ate about 3:30 pm and had the quiche and salad which was good. The venue was pretty cool with a chocolate factory them but not really my interests.
This place was a stop on my stroll down CityWalk.
It offers a nostalgic culinary experience reminiscent of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The shakes, similar to those from Surreal Creamery in New Brunswick, NJ, are a standout feature, boasting rich flavors and utter decadence. Overall, it's a must-visit for those seeking a simple yet enjoyable indulgence.
This is from my latest trip to Toothsome.
This place remains my all-time favorite restaurant.

The non sweet food was great and the service was great, we were not rushed at all and got our food pretty fast. The decor and ambiance looked great and very fancy.

The outside looks like something out of Charlie and the Chocolate factory but once you get in - it has a steam punk vibe to the ambiance. The characters walking around and engaging people were interesting and fun. Service was fantastic and the menu was very interesting. My Old Chocolate Fashion was amazing! I usually like my OF very classic but this chocolate one really was unique but still tasted like a true OF. Food was okay, we enjoyed the appetizers more than the mains...but people come here for the milkshake and desserts. The milkshakes looked amazing but it was just okay, one major complaint was it was not thick enough. The extra dessert topping was instagram worthy - but it was just okay. Even the truffles and cookies were just okay. Overall the meal offered good value. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was brought over because it was less than I expected. We ate out a lot and during our week here in Orlando and IMO Universal offers better food and value than inside of Disney. Recommendation is go for the cocktails, appetizers, the sundaes and desserts. It's really and 3.5/5
Family Fun, Amazing Affordable food and Friendly staff
Best food on universal property & most reasonably priced. Great staff & fun atmosphere. Our server Mel was awesome. Dessert is a MUST. Even is you split just one!
When flatbread is a cracker
The outside billboard said soups and salads so we were keen to try as this was our first day after our transatlantic flight and we were trying to adjust to the time difference with a light lunch but nothing prepared us for the morsels we got. I give you margarita flatbread and French onion soup - tomato paste and cheese on saltine crackers $13.95 and the tiniest bowl of soup - $9.95.
Went for shakes.
All we had were amazing. One of the kids got a sundae which was bigger than the shakes!
The Chocolate Emporium
Booked this months in advance. Was pretty busy at the time and the check in process isn’t much fun but once seated, staff were great, good options were good and milkshakes were awesome. Definitely worth trying at least once.

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium is indeed regarded as a masterpiece by many visitors, blending the magic of a traditional chocolate factory with the innovative flair of a full-service restaurant. It's a wonderful addition to the entertainment and dining options available, particularly for those looking for a unique experience. The whimsical, steampunk-inspired décor and the vast selection of chocolate treats and desserts truly bring out the inner child in everyone, making it an ideal spot for both kids and adults. The menu extends beyond sweets, offering a variety of savory dishes that cater to different tastes, ensuring that there's something for every member of the family. Its immersive atmosphere and diverse menu make it a must-visit destination for those seeking fun and indulgence in a family-friendly environment.
Better Than Expected
I was hesitant to book as it does have mixed reviews. We had a 4:45 reservation on a Sunday night and was able to get in within 5 minutes of our time. The atmosphere is very delightful and fun. . We were waited on very quickly. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was very good. I had the Ruben which was delicious. My husband had the Cobb salad which was very good. Large portions. Our friends also had very good meals. We did not go for milkshakes as that was not our main objective. Overall, we were very pleased with the food and service. We would go back.
All Show No Go
If you are going to see the attraction here then do yourself a favor walk around a bit be in awe of the amazing building but do yourself and your wallet a favor and eat somewhere else. Totally uninspiring when it comes to just about anything on the menu that we all ordered. Just plain drab but I guess if they have a captive audience then this is where you end up, food for the masses. If this place had to stand alone without the attraction it would close in a month. Was at least looking forward to dessert but at $17 for a scoop of ice cream and a sad banana the whipped cream just couldn’t bail this flop of an effort out. My suggestion, hop in an Uber and enjoy one of the many world class restaurants Orlando has to offer. You’ll be rewarded with great service creative and skillfully prepared food worth your time and investment.
