This place is a JOKE.
Saw a wheelchair user having a medical emergency get attacked by one of the customers and be accused of stealing. Instead of being helped she was kicked out of the bar. Will never return.

After pricing out many venues my wife and I decided to have my daughters Bat Mitzvah at the Irish Bar...lol. With that being said, the Saloon out did itself. From the food to the service, everything was outstanding. Linda organized the party and was there at the event to make sure everything went great.

I have been going to the saloon for 35 years. I like what they have done to the place. BUT I have been staying out of restaurants due to Covid. I visited the Saloon over the weekend to sit on the roof top bar hoping to stay in the fresh air with a little separation. I wore my mask when entering only to have to push through an extremely crowded bar of people, all of whom did not wear masks, to get to the elevator. Once I got to the roof top I was met with another crowded area of people. The bar was 3 deep and way to crowded to enjoy the overpriced drinks.

Having moved out of the area, since my last visit, it had been about 20 years. My mouth was watering for a plate of my favorite baked bread Spiedini. Oh, that mozzarella. Oh, that caper sauce! Not to be. Gone from the menu! I settled on the veggie burger, which was quite tasty. In the past, we always enjoyed the music of Jim Kenyon and his playing partner, Tommy. I know things change and it was a long time ago. Thanks for the memories. Kris Kristoffersonโs โSugar Man.โ One of the best songs ever!

Most visits are for lunch with/without Grandchildren. Pub food to be sure but as good as it can get. Seasoned waitstaff. Nice environment. Parking is metered and can be dicey. PR does use the Park Mobile app so donโt fumble for quarters and extend your meter without leaving your seat.
Be the first to ReplyNice local watering hole with tastey pub grub as well as an expanded menu for dining.
Been there several times. The Saloon has a lot to offer depending upon what you have in mind. A relatively new and expansive catering hall on the second hall is ideal for family or organizational events. The roof top patio & bar is a special feature in the summer months. The first floor has a busy bar and tables for pub style food but there is a decent size menu for those with a more diversified appetite. The service was good and the pricing was good. We recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyVery tasty but the super long bench seats can cause some bathroom logistics issues. Also, bathroom is downstairs.
First, the food service and atmosphere are excellent. This place is popular for lunch dinner and the late night scene, especially with the open air seating up top. In terms of all the usual stuff, this place would have been a shoe-in for 5 stars. However, on the first floor they have these ridiculously long bench seating in their booths. So basically you need to take a bladder poll of who you are with if your party is 6 to 8 because like the window seat in an airplane everyone needs to exit the booth if the inner person needs the facilities. Second, keep in mind the late night scene, the bathrooms are downstairs. Besides ADA, a bunch of somewhat inebriated people, or just folks that are not as mobile, there needs to be a first floor bathroom available. Maybe there is and I just don't realize, but I didn't see one.
Be the first to ReplyExtraordinary Rehearsal Party!
We recently hosted our sons wedding rehearsal dinner at the Saloon and everything about it was perfect! Lynda, the party manager, guided us through the planning process, expertly coordinating the wishes of the bride and groom and us, the hosting parents back in Boston. I am sure she was asked the same questions many times and was quite patient with us. All her recommendations were good ones! The function room and room set up was perfect for our group of forty and was a nice blend of casual and formal. The entire staff was helpful - servers, bartender, technical assistance staff, and evening coordinator. (Thank you Mary!) Although we were late getting there because of a lengthy rehearsal, the food was hot and delicious. Many adjourned to the rooftop bar area after our dinner ended which they really enjoyed.

Be the first to ReplyDisappointed with the buffet
Visited the Saloon for the first time with a Seniors' group. The building is impressive and well maintained. We were on the second floor with the paneled bar. Our deal included an open bar, with no limits. Perhaps because of this, "seconds" were not put out on the buffet except for Penne Vodka. The salad and rolls had not been exhausted, so seconds consisted of penne, salad, and a roll. This was disappointing. The food was good, but the chicken francese and the roast pork with gravy were not tender enough! The staff were attentive, but they had a very inefficient way of serving coffee and tea, so that those at our table who wanted tea waited 10 minutes for their cups. Despite the lovely surroundings and the efforts of the staff, it was a mixed experience. If I had it to do over, I would skip this event.
