The food was perfect.
The cooks cut my grandmother's burger. The waffle were savory and sweet. Their marmalade was running low and they made more for me. The service was quick, friendly and outstanding. Never had to wait for drinks to be refilled. The Ambiance was nice.

The whole menu is amazing with so many options to choose from! I got the biggest breakfast plate ever with so much meat I couldn't even finish half! The waiters here were super friendly and quick. I love how you can sit inside or outside! Would come back!

We were looking for a place to take another couple who had just flown in from out of state. The waffle experience was in a convenient location so we tried it out. Sadly, the ambience left a lot to be desired. Boarded up window and the entrance was odd.. Food was just okay. Server was nice.

Came in on a very busy Sunday morning and only one server and one chef were working at the time. Food was great. Loved the pork belly dish, I was sad to hear it was off the menu the second time we came. Kids dishes were a great size, my toddler enjoyed her waffles both times and always had leftovers to enjoy at home.

SO GOOD!!! Who knew a waffle could be so amazing?? This isn't your childhood Ego waffle! Sweet and or savory combos both were fabulous! The service was outstanding and incredibly welcoming. By the time we left I felt like both our wonderful waiter and the amazing chef were dear friends. My only regret is that I don't live closer so I can be a waffle regular! Can't wait to bring the whole family

I've always wanted to eat here, well today that happened and it definitely failed. We're all about supporting small businesses, they had one waitress, one buser and the owner was cooking- it took forever to get the food, and it was just meh, to the price of it. Overall we wouldn't come back.

Nothing like I have ever tasted before! Not a "typical" flavorless breakfast joint, this place delivers on high-quality and delicious food! My server recommended the Chicken and Waffles and BOY OH BOY was it ever good. This little Golden Nugget deserves to be tried by everyone!

When we first came to this establishment we were not greeted correctly. We asked to get seated for 5 ppl and the hostess made a big deal out of it and acted like they couldn't seat 5 ppl. When we got seated they didn't give us menus or help us for a very long time. Finally after someone came to help us and we got to order and receive our food it was all cold. When my mother went inside to let them know about it the owner came from behind the counter and started to scream at her saying take your fucking attitude and family and leave and started to push her. He continued to shove her out the door. Then pulled the door continuously onto her foot. She cannot walk and it's all swollen. DO NOT COME HERE. IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE star I would.

If I could give negative stars, I would. It was a little unusual the way you 6 No menu, you have to order online and pay online before your food comes out. Prices range from about $18 to $25. Their business motto has nothing to do with the rating I am giving.We ordered all separate checks cause that's how they run it. But you don't even get your drinks until you order on your phone. Here we all 30 minutes after we ordered and we did not have our coffee's nor any water. I had to ask 4x's just to get drinks, and they only brought 2 waters for a party of 3. Had to ask additionally 3x's just to get my coffee. My friend ordered a decaf, and I had to ask an additional 3 x's just to get his decaf coffee. So it took a total of 50 minutes just for us to get our drinks. They brought my food out. However, there were 3 of us, so as we are waiting on the other entrees, my food is getting cold. Then they drop off our second entree 25 minutes after they drop the first off and then 5 minutes after they drop the 3rd entree off. Soon, all in all, we ordered at 10:30AM and finally got everything we needed by close to noon. We never got any refill on any of the water or the coffee's the whole time we were there. At around 12:40 p.m., they asked us to leave because they had other people waiting for a table. RUDE!!. Granted, we had been there awhile, but only because we couldn't get our food for over 1.5 hrs. We didn't mind the visiting because it was a reunion and we hadn't seen each other since 2016 so it was nice to visit. But a whole 1.5 hours to get food. Ridiculous!Something to note they had no spoons for the coffee, but those wooden stir sticks. I am not a fan because it changes the flavor on the coffee, but the review is not based on that. The coffee was very good and is French pressed. Best coffee I have had in years in the Sacramento area.The food was mediocre. It's a waffle place. So I expected amazing waffles. However, the waffles were flavorless and hard. Either because it was not fresh, and they overheated it when they reheated it. Or they over beat the batter, which makes for a very dense dry waffle.. I additionally overheard the owner stating he cannot get out of this place fast enough. Whether that meant Sacramento, his rental space, or the clientele, I am unsure. But we will never be back.

My experience here was sadly, disappointing. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and had high hopes do for it, but it sadly did not live up to my expectations.1. We had to order through a QR code - which usually isn't much of a problem, but unlike other restaurants they include 2 services charges. It's also weird that we pay for a tip before the service. I would recommend using a system like BJs where we can just pay after we eat.2. I ordered my food literally 2 min after my friends and they all got their meals 30 minutes before I did. I ended up having my food boxed up because everyone else was done eating already.3. Because we order through this QR system, it leads to a disconnect between us and the server. We had to remind him to bring our drinks- I'm guessing he wouldn't even know we ordered drinks unless he checked the receipt print out. 4. When I got home to eat my food they gave me this sausage patty instead of apple smoked bacon I ordered :(5. The waffle was hard as a rock! The food was pretty much subpar. Paid $35 for a waffle, sausage Patty that was supposed to be bacon, and scrambled eggsThis place just needs to get their management together. Our server was very sweet and apologetic so there's no blame to him. I honestly think he's set up to fail with this whole system they have.

With the fees, tipping before getting anything only to find there's little to no service from the waitress. My husband had to ask some other guy walking by for a refill of his iced tea and the guy comes back with a bill?! We had already paid for an iced tea and their app said free refills for iced tea. The waitress was argumentative about it and instead of apologizing for her lack of knowledge of the menu for the restaurant she works at, snatched the bill and went to go remove the charge. She only asked if I wanted my coffee refilled right before we were leaving, which was about 30 minutes after we were served. The patty on the Lean On Me has definitely changed and not for the better, so I guess I won't call this my favorite breakfast spot anymore because we won't be going back. It's clear this place is struggling, but taking it out on the customer is not the answer.

Now the food is gross . The place is filthy, and the customer service is complete trash! I really used to love coming here but this restaurant has made a complete 180 since the last time I was here about eight months ago. How can you be dirty rude and have disgusting food? You guys need to get it together. If you don't like your job quit!

You have to order from a QR code (OK whatever that's fine), but there are TWO convenience fees added to your order for using a debit/credit card and the other convenience fee for ordering through the QR. if you order with the waitress it's cash only. Cool, we ordered and order went through at 12:03. It was 12:20 and we still hadn't gotten waters yet and no one checked in on us. 12:23 my plate comes out and waitress says my partners order will be out soon. When she goes back to the kitchen we here tell the guys to make our order they had forgotten and until about 12:40 his food comes out. I understand if you made a mistake and forgot, but atleast let us know you forgot and that you put the order in. Definitely not going back.

The waffles on both entrรฉes were soggy, the House cured pork belly on the Benedict was gray, and it had a weird taste to it, the produce on the eggs Benedict was limp package. Certainly was not worth the $60.00 we paid for this meal. This is our first time trying the waffle experience and we will not order from this restaurant again.

Food was great plenty of parking pretty empty,My bill was 27.$ for waffles breakfast it was ok .Pretty laid back vibe the chef is very friendly and brought me extra sausage for waiting,the hostess was friendly.The only problem I have is being charged a convenience fee for using a card debit/ credit your charged extra ,I'd rather be informed of this upfront most ppl don't carry cash even though we should in case of emergency.Will return again.

I've had more personable and helpful customer service from automated checkout kiosks. We were abandoned at a table with no menu or directions, and only a QR code to save us. We initially assumed that a server would be back around to take our order, like in any other normal restaurant, but one never showed up for us. So, in a fit of misguided optimism, we ordered through the website the QR code had sent us to. It took 15 minutes from the time we ordered to get drinks, and that was only because we asked the busser for help. The server we asked did nothing, and the other person working that ended up being the manager responded that they work through the tickets in the order they are placed. It is blatantly obvious this location is horribly mismanaged. The manager told us that they are trying to get as many people through as possible to keep the doors open, which seems like a shortsighted strategy to say the least. Watching the server helping the busser clean a table, grab refills and seat more parties while we were sitting without drinks was an odd experience, like being purposefully ignored. We took our food to go when it came out, so I can say that if you do get service the food is good.tl;d - Terrible service, decent food. Not worth it.

My husband and I used to LOVE Waffle Experience, but after our recent visit, it seems like it's really gone downhill. We showed up and were told there would be a 30-minute wait, so we stood out in the cold chatting while we waited (there's nowhere to wait inside), but we weren't seated until after an hour later. Once we were seated, like other reviews have mentioned, the ordering process was comically bad. You scan a QR code and place your order before a waiter even acknowledges you. It tacks on an automatic 20% tip, calculated based on the price AFTER all the fees and taxes, which is easy to miss if you want to change the amount (you haven't received any service yet, so why would you leave a 20% tip?). You also need to provide your phone number and email address before you're able to order, for no discernible reason. And yeah, they also tack on a "convenience" fee like others have mentioned, despite there being no apparent alternative to ordering through the stupid app, convenient or otherwise. I still LOVE their Praise the Lard (my two stars are for that alone--the pork belly is amazing and soft and melty and all the flavors work really well together), and my friend liked his Pig Latin (carnitas). My husband and our other friend both ordered the Chicken and Waffles and their dishes were inconsistent (one had an apple garnish, the other didn't, and they had very different plating) and thought it was OK. Oh yeah, all the food came out at different times, too. No one really checked on us at any point, which makes sense because we'd already tipped them.Well, it was definitely an experience. With waffles. I guess they never promised us a GOOD Waffle Experience.

Service was bad. The food was okay. The orders came out at different times and it was only for two people. The side salad was $2.00 for a tiny salad with no dressing. I asked for dressing and they never brought it out. We also had to wait 10 minutes for our waters to be refilled and we even had to ask for that as well. It started to get busy and they lost all of their customer service. Wait time for food wasn't terrible and we got seated immediately. Wasn't a fan of the ordering system and the servers did not pay much attention to us at all.

The food here is off the charts! This is no Pancake Circus people. The waffles are made from Brioche dough vs batter. That's only the beginning. You have to try this yourself! The only drawback and reason for 4 stars is the menu and ordering, all on your phone. Not easy for old timers.

Came here for the pork belly/waffle combo and it was everything I expected. However the food was slightly cold. Nevertheless the combination tasted fantastic, especially when paired with the Bloody Mary and pork belly combo. We came around 10am on a Saturday and there were plenty of seats available.
