Very poor quality, small pieces, and they are constantly running out of items that you've ordered online. Would avoid if at all possible. Better options nearby include Sweet Chick, Bobwhite Counter, and Popeye's (natch.)

I wish they bring the real fried chicken from Taiwan to nyc with more breadcrumbs outside.

I purposely went an extra hour drive to get the Kwa Kwa Bao and they didn't have any ... arghh second time this has happened. Otherwise, I love the chicken especially the Bao. Usually fast service but is loud and hard to hear them sometimes but staff is nice. I will be back but hopefully kwa kwa boa will be available. Otherwise I would give 4-1/2 star
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered the $6.
99 snack box which comes with either 2 chicken tenders with curly fries OR a drumstick with curly fries & and free classic drink of your choice. In addition, we ordered a chicken sandwich. 2 chicken tenders with curly fries was good, if only they added cheese on the side to the curly it would have been better. The chicken sandwich was mediocre. But of course the drink is amazing since it is from Kung Fu Tea. There's plenty of place to sit down and enjoy your meal and the staffs were friendly for the most part but was texting on their phone when we were deciding to order our meal.
Be the first to ReplyVery rude service.
Asked for sauces for my chicken tenders and even though they ran out, the lady at delivering the food asked "did you pay for it?" Not professional
Be the first to ReplyTaiwanese chicken chain established in 1974.
This store is split with KUNG-FU TEA displaying the more prominent signage. Place was initially packed with students from nearby Baruch College. I decided to get a combo meal and when I was presented with the contents in a box I was suprised how small it was. My worst fears came true when I opened the box. The Chicken Sandwich was miniscule in size but the curly fries were more than adequate. A small drink was also provided by KUNG-FU TEA at a discounted price. What suprised me about the chicken sandwich was irregardless of its small size it tasted great and almost seemed healthier than what the other chains provide. And you know fried chicken isn't actually healthy. The sandwich was also topped with pickles and mayo. The curly fries were good seeming slightly larger than ARBY'S in size. My Oolong Milk Tea wasn't bad cause the ice in it had melted which didn't bother me cause I drank it on my subway ride home. Overall a good food experience.
Be the first to ReplyPleasantly surprised by their chicken.
The crispy spicy chicken definitely has more flavor than most other fast food places, although the sides were a bit of a let down (as we were expecting). Would consider for a snack if i were in the area.
Be the first to ReplyI was not impressed.
Waited almost 15 minutes for my order before anyone bothered to tell me they were out of chicken sandwiches. Got the tenders instead which were kinda dry and not freshly made because they were getting cold. The cheese curds I ordered as a side were good though.
Be the first to ReplyI was really looking forward to trying this place.
I went during a work break and ordered a spicy sandwich. I was told that my order would be ready in 3 minutes however 10 minutes later and about 5 employees who did not seem to be preparing the food or doing much made me cancel the order, get a refund since I had to get back to work. I would understand if it was crowded- but it was empty and some employees were just standing around and talking.

If you are a local living In the area (lmao, who would f* w us) don't go here, go the one on Lexington!

I ordered the kwa kwa bao combo which includes a kwa kwa bao, one piece of fried chicken and a side ( i choose the shishito peppers which cost an additional $1).The fried chicken was good-- crunchy, juicy, not too greasy. But it was just a regular fried chicken, nothing special that sets it apart. I ordered the spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. I was excited about the kwa kwa bao-- sticky rice, mushrooms and pork wrapped in chicken skin. But it was just okay at best. It had textures-- chewy sticky rice in a crunchy chicken skin wrap, but it didn't have much flavor-- vague mushroom taste and a little salty. The shishito peppers were good but wasn't even a regular combo side but costs $1 more. For about 7 pieces, not such a good deal, especially since they were small pieces and a bit oily and soggy.
Be the first to Replyhad a quick dinner here before a concert.
The chicken here is very crispy and very juicy and flavorful. The grilled peppers were okay. The large Taiwanese vegetable dumpling that they serve was sweet and unique. Overall good experience.Only minuses is here are the uncaring service and warm beer.

This place deserves 5 stars is for one reason only: that is the curry chicken wings. The curry chicken wings are 10/10. Their spicy chicken is good, but Jollibee is way better for Asian fried chicken franchise. If you come here, just get the curry chicken wings. There is also Kung Fu tea attached to it. So, it's good. Also, TKK is a Taiwanese fried chicken franchise like Popeyes and Jollibee.
Be the first to ReplyDo not go here.
Save your appetite and your patience for a different place. The staff are unbearably rude and the cashier (guy with tied up hair and sleepy affect) can't hear (maybe because the music is extremely loud?!?). Nothing is available and the specials advertised are nonexistent. The reason..."it be like that sometime yo." "You should tell my boss. Don't ask me." "I've lived in nyc 23 years and it be like dat." Ice cream is never available either. Good grief this place.Give me a freaking break!

I freaked out when I found out that there was a TKK (頂呱呱) in NYC. And my mom was even more excited than I was lol. Brought us back to our trips to Taiwan! We got the famous kwa kwa bao (呱呱包). The employees were very nice too!

Service: I ordered for delivery, so can't speak on the serviceAtmosphere: I ordered for delivery, so I haven't physically been in the store. This location features TKK Chicken and Kung Fu Tea together in one store, and I love the convenience. Great to grab some fried chicken and bubble tea in one go!Food/Drinks: I tried the curry tenders, lemon pepper wings, and the kwa kwa bao. The tenders had a good, strong curry flavor and were crispy on outside. I found them a little dry (maybe because of delivery) compared to other chicken take out places, but still good. The lemon pepper wings were very moist and easy to eat. The flavor was just the right amount and not too overpowering. The kwa kwa bao was something I haven't seen anywhere else, and it was delicious! I was surprised it held its texture so well for a delivery order. Crispy fried chicken skin on the outside, soft sticky rice on the inside with mushrooms and meat. Would definitely get the kwa kwa bao again (best to eat while fresh)Price: Felt it was reasonable for the amount of food offered

i got 2 cream cap teas from this place, and order extra cream caps and paid a whopping $18 for both of them, and they came WITHOUT WHAT I PAID FOR!!Ordered on 11 December 2021 @ 7:30pm. Garbage place and employees. Fire these useless trash

Only ordered the fried chicken skin stuffed with sticky rice. It was okay. I wish the skin was crunchier and the rice and something else to make it standout like scallions or Chinese sausage, just something for textural contrast.

Be on the lookout so you don't miss it this place is located in the kung fu tea spot. We ordered to go and it took a little longer than we expected. I thought it was more of a fast food type spot but it took some time to make. The fried chicken is a solid choice here obviously. I also tried the biscuit and it was good. It tasted like the ones you get at kfc just less buttery.
Be the first to ReplyThe chicken strips are consistently good.
The shashito peppers as a side are great. The upgrades to get ice cream are also worth looking at If you're getting the combo.
Be the first to ReplySo who doesn't love fried chicken and with chicken sandwich
So who doesn't love fried chicken and with chicken sandwich wars I would like to know who is at the top. So seeing a very different chicken fast food spot just randomly I had to check it out. So I ordered a three piece meal, a chicken sandwich of course, I wanted the cheese curds but I guess it wasn't my day to get those, and I ordered something called Kwa Kwa Bao. Ok, now the chicken I ordered was the crispy regular which they also have in spicy. Now the chicken was on point the skin was crunchy and the chicken itself was juicy. Great taste. Had to wait a bit for a fresh batch but who doesn't mind that. I also noticed when the batch came out the cook checked every piece of chicken temperature which you rarely see. I had the curly fries and a biscuit. Curly fries is curly fries right. The biscuit I didn't get a chance to try but it did look dry.Now the chicken sandwich was actually really good. Nice size fillet of chicken and a very nice crunchy bite. Still not the best of the top chicken sandwiches but very tasty. Ok now my surprise was the Kwa Kwa Bao. This item is chicken skin filled with sticky rice and meat. It looks like a darker egg roll. Who doesn't love chicken skin right. So when I saw the description I had to try it and bought two just in case it was really good I didn't want to but one and regret not getting two cause it was so good. Now my first bite was like what the hell is this goodness. Just something different in the fast food world and I loved it. Very tasty as far as the skin wrap and the rice inside tasted good as well. So the Kwa Kwa is a must order every time.So I'm all I would definitely recommend going or if I'm the area of a location check it out. TKK chicken has got my respect.
Be the first to ReplyProbably the best chicken sandwich you will find in
Probably the best chicken sandwich you will find in Manhattan (and we have tried them all, from boutique to chain). There's something about the breading, the way the skin separates and crisps, the proportion of all the component parts...yeah, you have to try this. The fried chicken pieces are excellent, though they are so perfectly cooked that I worry about them wandering into undercooked territory in the wrong hands. The spicy marinade also a bit thick, I would stick to the original flavor...and the wait time is longer than you would expect. But in any case I'll be going back again and again! Close things out with a milk tea soft serve, and this is by far one of the tastiest cheap eats around.

So when I went to Baruch I used to loving coming here the chicken was great they had yummy sauces on the side but my oh my have things changed.I came today with meal pal and it like the system just shut down. The meal pal was fried chicken and soda great lovely awesome.I decided to order some sides I used to looove their cheese curd.I tried to order it they didn't have it fine. I got the peppers they weren't good at all.. like I had one threw out the rest.So 1/ if there is no cheese curd why is that still on the menu like that hurts.2/ i scanned my meal pal took awhile for some one to come to register they weren't busy so I don't understand why 1 of the 5 people couldnt walk over.but fine..3/ guess what I didn't they had so many employees working and not one had awareness of what the drink was, how many pieces of chicken it was.. and they are having this discussion in front of me it was kind of amzing maybe ask me and I can check the app and tell you..this was a super uncomfortable experience and the food was a let down...ALSO THE GOOD SAUCES ARE GOne
