We went to Trishna while visiting London.
I was able to get an early dinner reservation last minute so when we arrived we were one of the first ones. Service was amazing! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The inside of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. I liked the artwork they had throughout. We tried the Chemmeen Manga Curry [Vannamei prawn, coconut, green mango, Malabar tamarind] & Cashew & Pepper Chicken Curry [roasted coconut & cashew nut, telicherry peppercorn]. We also added a bowl of rice and the naan to split since everything is a la carte. Overall, the curries were amazing and full of flavor. The naan was fresh and delicious too. I do think it is very over-priced though. We left feeling not satisfied with what we paid. The allure of a "Michelin star" is what drew us in but I would have been just as happy food-wise at any other local Indian restaurant (and for less money). If you do go, I would recommend trying one of the tasting menus instead of the a la carte menu. It looked like a better deal with a variety of different plates to try.

It was fabulous. Great choices for each course. Service and pacing were right on. Price was very fair. Vibe was casual but cool. Highly recommend Trishna.

Came here for a job celebration! Service was really nice, the waiters were cordial and polite. However they didn't bring water often enough..which was bothersome at times as the food was super spicy!! My friend and I got the tasting menu which had a variety of food and also sizeable portions which was good. However the taste of the food was generally not my personal style - for instance, at the beginning they brought out a variety of papads and chutneys. This was quite nice of them but tasted really strange to me. The tasting menu included an appetizer of Aloo Chaat (ratte potatoes, masala chickpea, tamarind, sweet yoghurt) which was maybe my favorite dish of the evening. It was really good! Then I tried the Duck Chutney Seekh (tomato tokku, Kashmiri chilli, shallot, pineapple chutney), which was also pretty good. For the main course I had Cashew & Pepper Chicken (roasted coconut & cashew nut, telicherry peppercorns) which again was really spicy but tasted not bad. It came with rice and naan. And the dessert Custard Apple Kulfi (falooda, basil seeds, gulab jamun, patissa crumble) had a variety of flavors and looked really cool and interesting, but wasn't my style taste-wise. In terms of ambience it was quite a few business people, some couples, relatively dim warm lighting, and generally a pleasant place :)
Be the first to ReplySo disappointed with this restaurant.
Got the prix fixe menu. The good was genuinely horrible and I have no idea how it got a Michelin star. The service was great but the cocktails were poorly made, weak, and a weird lukewarm temperature. The food was either overly salty, too vinegary, or completely bland with no other redeeming flavors to make the food complex. Even the dessert tasted stale and cheap like it had been sitting out on a bakery shelf for days. Save for your money and go elsewhere. Poor food for such a high price.

Having lunch at Trishna was a wonderful experience! The food is the best Indian food I have ever had, and you can't beat the value for dining at a Michelin restaurant! Great staff who really want you to have a wonderful experience!
Be the first to ReplyBoth the food and service at Trishna are truly exceptional.
Both our waitress and the sommelier were friendly and eager to please. Although they are known as one of the most price conscious Michelin stars in London, their food is amazing and you should absolutely splurge on the tasting menu and wine pairings, £180 combined. We loved the bread service with chutneys, the guinea fowl, and the lamb. I also really liked that they served gin from India. Perhaps what was most impressive was how well they paired wine with the bold flavors of their food. Every pairing was a wonderful match elevating the already excellent food. The space is intimate, but sleek. And we perfect seat in the front window. Overall we loved our dinner at Trishna.

I've been trying to find the words to describe my experience at Trishna, and to be honest, I'm not positive I'll ever truly find the words to do it justice. We were not entirely sure what to expect from our visit here, but it's safe to say that it surpassed anything we could've even imagined. My partner and I both chose to do the tasting menu, largely choosing different plates so we could try a number of different dishes. Gotta say, I highly recommend this as the way to go. I could rave for hours about how incredible each individual dish was, but I will simply list a few standouts: - Nandu Varuval - Coconut and Curry Leaf Scallop - Tandoori Lamb Chop - Gongura Lamb There was not a single dish out of the dozen or so we tried that I wouldn't order again, but these four in particular were mindblowing. It's been a few months since our visit, and I still dream about the Gongura Lamb. All of the flavors we had were exceptional, and the service was incredible to boot. Trishna was not only our favorite meal in London, but one of our favorite meals overall to date. Michelin like I've never previously experienced. I cannot recommend enough making a reservation and swinging by for a meal that will change your life.

OMG so much food!! Felt bad I couldn't finish it all! Everything was good to great. The service was super friendly, just top notch. Gave it four instead of five stars mostly because I thought the final plate just didn't live up to the rest of the tasting menu. But all in all a great meal!
Be the first to Replyamazing experience.
tasting menu and wine pairings were spectacular. service was excellent all around. intimate setting in a lovely area of london.
Be the first to ReplyThis is easily my fav place to eat in London.
The staff is EXCEPTIONAL. the food is outrageous delicious. My Top 3 Indian restaurants i have ever been to.
Be the first to ReplyThe best Indian food I ever tasted in my life.
No wonder it's a Michelin resto! Wow. By far my favorite spot in London.
Be the first to ReplyWow this was perhaps the best Indian food I've ever had.
I suggest you opt for the Tasting Menu which offers both a vegetarian and meat/poultry based. I went with the vegetarian menu and thoroughly enjoyed every dish presented. I paired my selection with a nice carafe of Riesling which really brought out the flavors even more. Staff are friendly, helpful and informed. Can't recommend enough.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food, cocktail and service.
I would expect when wine is poured to have customer taste it before a full glass is poured. That's just customary in any restaurant that serves wine. Unfortunately not followed and wine that was poured was oxidized and lacked taste. As everything else was exceptional I just didn't send the wine back.
Be the first to ReplyStraight up amazing.
I make it a tradition to go to one upscale meal on vacation, and Trishna was a great choice. Having a Michelin star, my expectations were very high and they were definitely met. We first started with the drinks which were amazing; we then proceeded to order the short rib, scallops, paneer, and samoas. Think traditional Indian food with a slight experimental touch. Please note that the servings are very generous. Two entries and an appetizer should be enough for two people. In terms of the customer service, all the staff is very helpful and cordial. And they are happy to explain the menu. As for the environment, it is a perfect place for a nice get-together or a date. Quick tips, you will need a reservation if you arrive later at night. However, if you get there at the opening, you might be able to get a walk-in appointment. Thank you, Trishna for a wonderful night in London!

I was lucky to find availability for a late weekend lunch as I found it to be a popular place. To start off with, the restaurant itself has such lovely character, with various rooms, steps leading down to the WC, etc. Every course I had on the tasting menu was divine and the service was top notch! I was very pleased with the advice given on which courses to try as I debated between a few. I'll definitely recommend Trishna to family and friends visiting London!

This place was amazing - great customer service and the food was delicious! Some on the spicier dishes with some heat but really bold flavors. Pricier for indian food but worth it as it's michelin rated. I really enjoyed the indian inspirated cocktails as well. This was definitely a favorite restaurant while visiting London. Would go back for sure!

Small, intimate setting with really good food and very friendly helpful service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and great service.
Fora Michelin starred restaurant, the staff is to totally down to earth. We were there on an evening during a tube strike and they were so helpful - let us hang out at our table while we waited for three different Ubers for 1.5 hours. Even brought us drinks in the house. Now, the food. Wow! Perfectly Indian, without over the top spice. Inventive dishes and tradition dishes raised to another level. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyMaybe I should preface this post by saying I am Indian
Maybe I should preface this post by saying I am Indian (Punjabi), grew up eating Indian food in Northern California, have eaten Indian food in India and overall love Indian food. This place was okay. The only things I enjoyed were their chutneys which I could use to add flavor/spice to the other dishes, the aloo chaat with aforementioned chutney, coconut & corn tikka with chutney, tandoori lamb chops and Dorset brown crab had good flavor. Their prices for mediocre naan are basically highway robbery, but to be expected since this does have a Michelin star.
Be the first to ReplyI booked this dinner over a week in advance as we were
I booked this dinner over a week in advance as we were traveling from Canada to London and I wanted a special event for Diwali. The website stated they had a special tasting menu and they could accommodate gf and vegan. I always state when I make a reservation that 1 guest requires gf and vegan options. It was a bit of an ordeal when it was time to order. Our server (very friendly and attentive) said there was no vegan and gf tasting menu and I would have to order a la carte. When ordering a la carte the server came back after talking to the chef and said 2 items could not be done as there was no advance notice?!?! Over a week is not advance notice?? I ended up having aloo chat with no dairy. This was tasty, spicy and the potatoes were cooked well. Then I had lemon rice and the eggplant. The lemon rice was simple and bland...not lemony. The eggplant was very nice and well cooked. I had a bowl of dal on the side which I did not like. It tasted the way dal would taste when it burns on the bottom of a pot. My husband disagreed and said it tasted "roasted" so I did not bother to send it back (I did not eat it). My dessert was pineapple roasted on a tandoor with coconut ice cream and a pineapple gelatin (he said it was vegan). It was tasty.Hubby and son each had the meat tasting menu with alternate choices for each course. Son rated it 8/10 and hubby rated it 7/10.The reason for the 3 star rating has more to do with the hostess that gave an unfriendly vibe and their unwillingness to move us when requested as we were in the front section where it was freezing because the front door was constantly opened. They advertised live sitar music but from where we were seated we saw nothing and only heard the music (it was nice). It could have been a recording for all we could tell so there was no experience to it.There was a nice gift bag on all the tables with a candle, matches and chocolates. This was a nice touch. With so many restaurants in London offering great food, excellent service and friendly/accommodating service (we went to several on our trip) I would choose to spend my dollars elsewhere in future.

From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in we were treated with such care. Every single dish we ordered, outstays dung! I can't wait to come back!!

This is the best Indian restaurant I've experienced, both in terms of the quality of the food, and the service. We were greeted by friendly faces the moment we walked in, and were treated like royalty until the moment we stepped out of the door. We opted for the seven course meal, which is a sizable meal. Luckily, every bite was heaven. From the sweet/spicy mango chutney starter, to the blackberry & lychee kulfi, it was pure delight. Five stars isn't enough.
Be the first to ReplyEasy to reserve.
Food was good. Best Indian food I've ever had. The elderflower chai surprised me, not a very strong tea but a mixture of various flavors.
