Worst indian food that you can have in USA.
Curries are all watered down with no flavor. It's like having colorful water with rice and Naan. The samosa is the only saving grace which was amazing. Daal was like hot water with turmeric. Pricy food , 18 dollars for so little portions. The paneer was stale and smelly. Definitely avoid this place at all cost.
Be the first to ReplyThe chicken tikka masala was excellent.
Also the biryani with chicken. This was one of our best meals in Gatlinburg.
Be the first to ReplySituated at the end of a strip, in a very unassuming spot.
The people behind the counter are very businesslike and straightforward. The menu is only on wall, no paper/card menus so that a bit inconvenient and it feels a lil strange, BUT the food!! The food is delicious, the flavours awakening all your senses and will leave you with a satisfied feeling. Be aware though, the spice level is extremely high! I eat a lot of Indian spicy foods but this was too much for me too. But even the overly spicy foods were deliciousWe were a large party, and had the combo meals which was very filling and had good large portions. We also tried the:palak paneer (absolutely delish-non spicy); Paneer chilli (super spicy- yummy though- but not able to eat more than a piece)Tandoori chicken - mouth watering, medium spicySpring rolls - good, not too much to talk about So, yep, if in pigeon forge, and want for Indian food - do check them out!

My mom is from South India so she can be picky. We ordered several dishes and shared. We loved the tandoori chicken, garlic naan, samosa and chicken dish my mom ordered. She didn't know name ... just that it is a spice level to her liking. My chicken tikka masala was good but not enough chicken chunks per sauce ratio. Lol guess I'm picky like my mom. Anyway great experience. Would definitely come againWe left stuffed Everyone working there was extremely friendly Side note: super clean A plus

Clean bathroom, VERY late service as only one person is serving and taking orders. Most of all, mediocre food.

Lindsay H in particular ;) Tulsi is now open for business again after their fabulous remodel the last couple.of weeks and they are knocking it out of the park! The restaurant is streamlined and modern, with crisp, simple lines. The super-clean, welcoming decor help you focus on the food because let me tell you, it IS all about the food!We ordered 2 chicken tikka masala, 1 tandoori chicken, 1 chicken Hiryali and 2 butter Naan.First, the CTM was a medium heat (not made to order, although they did give my man some hot spicy sauce to mix in) it was pretty good. The chicken tandoori was delicious. It was smothered in spices and one of the best blends we have ever tasted. We ALL loved it and decided no other Indian restaurant served any that compared. The butter Naan was very good too although we missed our favorite garlic naan. The plentiful rice set everything off nicely. Tulsi also has Indian sodas and drinks such as Thumbs Up and Frooti to compliment your meal. I tried Thumbs Up and of course, must give it a thumbs up as it was pretty tasty. What of the chicken Hiryali you may be wondering? Well, we have saved the best for last. Oh. My. Word. It is beyond mere words. The aromatic mix of cilantro and mint, yoghurt and whatever other secret ingredient has been added, make this a dish that is an experience to be savored slowly. The chicken is so fresh and moist, the flavors harmonizing with each other rather than competing and I must confess, we couldn't get enough. We have found our new favorite Indian dish. Do your tastebuds a favor and come dine at Tulsi. I know we will be back when we return this summer!

My friend and I were in town for a tournament and luckily we found Tulsi. We loved it so much we ate there all 4 nights. Needless to say we LOVED their food and the owners, Purvi and Rakesh are super nice and you can tell the pride they take in the service and food. We tried many dishes over the 4 nights and it just kept getting better and better. We recommend everything. Sorry we dont live close by but when we are back in the area you can count on seeing us again! Namaste
