Vecina Scottsdale Reviews
Great food variety , Ribeye was exceptional.
Small dessert selection but good. Employees were very friendly and helpful on wine and food selections. Sloane was very helpful and nice, she made our dinner even better. Would highly recommend. Parking lot small but you can park east of location at design shops that are closed.

This place is great! The service, food, and vibe! The entire menu is meant to share, but I'm not sure I would call it similar to a "tapas" restaurant (like what the other reviews say) because they are definitely not small plates. This is a good thing- if you have 4 or more in your party you can definitely order more items on the menu and get a full experience. We loved every dish we ordered- karaage (juicy chicken), mussels (so fresh!), salmon tacos, and ribeye! We would definitely come back here again!
We came here last night for dinner as a party of four.
The food and service were great. I loved the empanada and pork belly tacos the most. The broccoli appetizer was also quite good. They tell you when you sit down that it's a tapas style restaurant. Tapas happen to be my husband and I favorite cuisine, but after moving to Phoenix, we haven't found very many restaurants that have real tapas. These dishes were definitely not tapas as the way they were served, made them nearly impossible to share. Definitely great, but just keep in mind that it really isn't a true tapas style restaurant if that's what you're looking for.
I had to update my review for Vecina to 5 stars after this
I had to update my review for Vecina to 5 stars after this past visit. I went to celebrate a new job and the staff were above and beyond amazing! They brought us some champagne to toast without us even asking - they had just overheard us chatting about it. I also tried the ceviche, which was fabulous, the gambas al ajillo, also stellar, and the adobo pork chop which was the best cooked pork I've had in forever. The pork belly tacos are still soooo fantastic I literally crave them. This is such a great spot for a special occasion. The food is truly a step above and the staff make you feel like they genuinely care. It is a tight fit, so I recommend this place for parties of 6 or less unless you make a special reservation. It also gets pretty loud as well because it is a small space, but it's super intimate and I love the lighting. The drinks were also better than I remember this time around so def don't skip a marg. Thank you, Vecina! I can't wait to come back for more pork belly tacos.
Officially my favorite restaurant in Phoenix.
I have NEVER tasted food so good in my life. This is speaking from a couple that goes out to eat multiple times a week. The Papas Verdes were an explosion of flavor , the ceviche was sooo fresh and delightful and the Shrimp was AMAZING. The staff was extremely attentive and the vibes we immacualte. The music was soooo good. I was here to celebrate my birthday and my favorite song on all time from Bad Bunny came out. It was sign that this restaurant will be come a regular for us. Cannot wait till the next time we go !!!
Top 2 favorite restaurants in all of Arizona.
From the ambiance to the food and service, I have never had a bad experience. I absolutely love this restaurant and the staff that support it so well. 100/100 recommend.
This is a spot we often bring out of town guests too.
The thing is - I like the appetizers not the entrees. We get the karaage, short rib, salsa trio, shrimp dish and guacamole. And always end with both the concha and banana bread We've had the elote, Brussels, tacos, empanadas, ceviche dishes and never enjoyed them. The drinks are good but they had a really refreshing one that came in a jarritos clay cup and it was fabulous. It had pineapple in it. So refreshing.
Went on a Sunday evening.
It was calm and beautifully designed. Initially we made a reservation to eat outdoors but realized the seating was directly by the road. They kindly adjusted and we were seated inside. The staff were very attentive. We ordered the radicchio salad, cabbage, elote pasta and the pretzel (which we wished came out last, as it was rich and sweet). Our waitstaff decided to serve our plates into two courses. I enjoyed the cabbage the most. My partner thought the pasta was innovative and had a good crunch.
Vecina is probably my favorite restaurant.
I live in Boston and would gladly fly out once a year just to dine here. Food is amazing and has so much flavor and creativity. The pork chop especially is next level good. The people who work here are clearly passionate and confident in what the restaurant does. The entire menu hits. The service is tremendous. I can't stop talking about this place to everyone!

Came here on a rec from a doctor buddy of mine and actually brought her to dinner here before I flew back to Houston. It's a great, quaint, little latin American joint. They have a great specialty drink menu with lots of interesting flavors. Shame I don't drink, they looked just amazing. It's small plate share style, at least what we had was. But the flavors? Man the flavors are amazing. They also have this little dessert they end up doing rotations on. It's sorta fried ice cream on a Mexican pastry. This occasion it was strawberry. Thankfully it was the end of the month so I was able to splurge and try it! I don't get to Phoenix often, but I will make sure to come back should I be in town.

Everything about this restaurant was 10/10.
The food was incredible, drinks creative and fun, ambiance cozy, and service outstanding. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Worth every penny!! Will definitely be returning.
You really can't go wrong here.
. Everything is amazing: staff, drinks, food, and ambiance! Spicy Skinny Margs and Carajillo for dessert are a must!
What a cool place for drinks and food.
Chill Latin vibe with a great gin cocktail Dos Copas! It's a perfect tang to a citrus-like creation. Try it! I had the mussels which were so buttery you forgot they were seafood! But don't be fooled it's the 6 pieces of bread you can't stop soaking up the jus! My husband got the Elliott and it did NOT disappoint. Fan favorite is the ceviche! WOW! There is outdoor seating and a gorgeous mural to view from inside seating! Tad place! Well he back!
The place has a delicious smell from down the road.
Cocktails were tasty and very imaginative. The karaage was delicious. The mussels with shaved jalapeños and chorizo were excellent. The steak tacos were a very nice treat with a good dose of spice. Service was top notch. Questions were answered and suggestions were made. Waitress was absolutely sweet. There's nice seating both inside and out. Can't wait to get back soon.

No salt and pepper is needed on the table when all of the food you order is seasoned beautifully. The dishes are gorgeous and taste even better than they look. The server was attentive but not overbearing, the ambiance was enjoyable, music not too loud. The patio provided one of the best views in the valley. The salsas in the trio appetizer, I could eat those on a flip flop. The broccoli dish is a must! I can't wait to come back and try the other menu items.

5 stars!! First of all, our server Blake was AMAZING! His energy made our experience. The food was phenomenal. Our favorites were the karaage and the white bean puree w/ short rib. We will definitely be back!!
Excellent food.
Their salmon tacos are the best I've ever had. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chef is so talented adding depth and dimension to the flavors. If you are a foodie, and like dishes prepared artfully, this is a great find.

Vecina was great! With tapas and ordering many plates, I feel like you're bound to come across something you don't like very much, but we really enjoyed all our dishes. The pork chop was fantastic. It was cooked well, with a good crisp/char on the outside and I liked the sauce with it (though the pork chop itself was delicious so not needed). I'm not normally one for salmon in tacos but the dish looked popular online, so I had to try, and I'm glad I did! The salmon was SO tender and oily, which I like. As for the ceviche, I understand people's comments about the sauce being more curry like than ceviche. For me, I really like coconut and am not a huge fan of traditional ceviche, so I loved this dish! I actually dipped the chicken karaage in the ceviche sauce too. I'm a big fan of Japanese food so I was skeptical about seeing chicken karaage on this menu. This also did not disappoint! Very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Liked the sauce on this dish a lot too. The service was pretty standard. Our waitress was friendly and they were very apologetic when our reservation was slightly delayed (the people before us stayed longer than anticipated). Dishes coming out were paced well and it was nice that they frequently refreshed plates and silverware due to the variety of foods we had. The restaurant itself was small but cute - a little intimate and dim lit spot for a date night. Only commentary on the location would be that the parking lot is small, so we had to wait a bit to squeeze into a spot.
Highly recommend! Everything was amazing! Exceptional

Best dinner in Scottsdale
Me and my wife had dinner here 5/31/23. This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Truly fabulous. The mussels are awesome. The peanut butter desert great. The drinks fabulous. Staff awesome. All thumbs up!!!
Amazing
Great service and amazing food, the pork chop and empanadas had great flavors, our server recommended an appetizer that is not in the menu, green plantains (tostones) served with a sauce and short ribs that melted in my mouth, the food has a Peruvian twist, but is not common Peruvian cuisine, reservations are a must, small parking lot

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Vecina Scottsdale at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Vecina Scottsdale page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* PerceptiveWash44, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* PerceptiveWash44 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PerceptiveWash44 for any questions Peter may have as PerceptiveWash44 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at Vecina Scottsdale to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PerceptiveWash44 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, PerceptiveWash44 receives the $200 reward which is credited to PerceptiveWash44's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Vecina Scottsdale!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
