We went to Venezia for post Valentine's Day dinner for the first time and wanted to check it out because we see it along the highway. What immediately hit us was how loud it was in the restaurant. It was very hard to hear someone even sitting right next to me. The tablecloth we had was initially dirty. We ordered 2 dishes: the roasted salmon and the shrimp carbonara. Both were lacking in flavor, with the carbonara needing lots of salt, and the roasted salmon dry and lacking definition. There was also no spoon for the carbonara, and the waiter only checked up on us once to see how the experience was.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent quality which matches the view for sure.
Very elegant place. It was a Monday night which was peaceful. Had a shrimp scampi and calimari which both were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is reserved for very special occasions in my opinion so I wouldn't make it a habit.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing lunch today.
Scallops werevery small & overdone. Actually hard on top. Partner's haddock also small &overcooked. Calamari appetizer rubbery & bland. For a restaurant with great location & service, food should be consistently good.
Be the first to ReplyVenezia was a great choice for a waterfront dining
Venezia was a great choice for a waterfront dining experience. Service was prompt and professional, ambiance was great, and the food & drinks were absolutely amazing. Enjoyed the good selection of options on the menu, and was particularly a fan of their Calamari, Tiramisu and Espresso Martinis. Highly recommend Venezia for a solid experience!
Be the first to ReplyAt one time this place was really good.
But it's not now, starting with the appetizers, the stuffed eggplant plant had a rice stuffed roll of bland. The stuffed mushrooms where very small I was surprised the chief would even have them served. I got the basic chicken parmigiana seems like the cutlet was air fried or sitting under a hot plate, very dry.The veal parmigiana from my daughter was about the same.why do they put cherry tomatoes in a decent red tomato sauce is beyond me.The service was very good but not worth the trip anymore.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely best banquet hands down.
My friends father died and requested a celebration of life rather than a funeral. Boy did they do it up right. First the setting is magnificent. All glass back facing water and Boston skyline. Second food...hot cold appetizers fruits cheeses desserts drinks main dishes.....there was nothing missing and all beautifully displayed and served.if I ever do a party it will be here. Really too shelf
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I dined @Venezia Italian Restaurant to enjoy
My husband and I dined @Venezia Italian Restaurant to enjoy the water views. I had the salmon with caesar salad and he had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, chicken parmesean with garlic butter mashed potatoes. After dinner, he ordered a strawberry sorbet and I requested 10 year port wine. At this point of the experience, the service had been ok...nothing spectacular. And the meal itself was okay. But then this happened! The picture shows what ended up in my mouth after the first sip. In case you can't make out what it is...it's a dead insect with wings. When I take it out of my mouth...I can't believe what I'm looking at! My husband turns on the cell phone flashlight and confirms it...I almost swallowed an insect. When the manager comes over, she does apologize and removes the bug from the table. She asks if I'd like a replacement or something else. At this point I am totally grossed out and want nothing else. My husband doesn't finish his dessert. The waiter brings the bill and can you believe that they took off the appetizers, dessert and wine but still charged us for the meal?!? Long story short, I will be writing a letter to their corporate office and won't be returning there to dine ever again.
Be the first to ReplyThere is not enough good things to say about this place.
The view is gorgeous overlooking the water. The menu is delicious. I have had almost everything over the years and you seriously cannot go wrong with anything you choose. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Love love love this place! Always a go to!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing view, great food, and nice service! The oysters
Amazing view, great food, and nice service! The oysters were SO divine. I got the shrimp risotto which was tasty, but I thought it'd be a bit more creamy.
Be the first to ReplyThis is an update of my review from 4/22.
We love this restaurant so we had to go back last night. The food was still perfectly prepare, piping hot and delicious (eggplant app, 1/2 order Venezia's seafood risotto, veal parm, braised short ribs). Hugo H., our server, could not have been any more efficient, personable, professional, and helpful. Everything was perfect! 5 stars! Love this place!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a hidden gem.
Wonderful food! Niraj, our server, was absolutely amazing and gave us a great wine recommendation. Because of the view and the service, we will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyWent to the the Venezia with friends.
It is known for their Italian food when they read the specials they had steak, lobster tail, asparagus and potatoes. We should have asked the price before we ordered but it sounded so good. When we received our meal it looked great everything was good but the steak was not a $50 steak. It was tough at this price it should have melted in your mouth. I will go back but will stay away from the steak.

During Valentine's Day they were busy and they still provided excellent service.

Went here with my family , great atmosphere, quiet, next to the water. Waiter did a good job. The oysters were amazing. Had the lenguini with seafood, it was good.

We had an amazing dinner - the Lobster Ravioli and Pan Seared Scallops were perfectly cooked and had great flavor! While it was incredibly busy, we opted to grab a high top in the bar and Chris was our server/bartender- funny, attentive, and a great personality! So enjoyed our time and looking forward to coming back!
Be the first to Reply(All ratings out of a possible top score of 10)Atmosphere:
(All ratings out of a possible top score of 10)Atmosphere: 8Direct waterfront with excellent views of the water tank, Prudential center, sunset. The only downside is the set up of the restaurant is ridiculously loud, meaning I could only hear my kids tell me the waiter was taking forever if they were right in my ear. Food: 3I sincerely hope this is a function of the pandemic, but it is still no excuse for phoning in food you are charging over $30/entree for. Antipasto Misto (Charcuterie board): literally one slice of prosciutto, one slice of salami, and one slice of ham with two small pieces of mozzarella and provolone with some day old grilled eggplant on a giant bed of cheap greens....$18. Likely they were in the back just seeing if I would send back what amounted to be less food than delis throw out on an hourly basis. Risotto Venezia: I understand I'm not a small person, but bringing me what should be a full serving of protein and in reality was two scallops and two small shrimp is embarrassing. It was made worse by the fact that it was clearly not risotto, it was short grain rice that was not resembling anything remotely close to a risotto. Capesante: (Pan Seared Scallops drizzled with bacon aioli, served with butter whipped potatoes and asparagus tips). Other than being light on the scallops, very well prepared and got a huge thumbs up from my son. Would recommend. Chicken Parm: I see your trick, Venezia. Most of your pasta dishes state "homemade" pasta, but looking back at the description shows you don't say that for the chicken parm which came with boxed penne and a square of mozzarella on top. Even if you don't consider this an Italian restaurant, it shouldn't be the same quality as Olive Garden (just wait for that review!). Also, I believe there was a kitchen competition to see who could slice the chicken breast the thinnest. Whomever won got to make my wife's dinner. Margherita Pizza: my daughter's diet is 80% pizza, and she loves every pizza. She did not finish eating this pizza. I would put down some serious money that it was freschetta in the box. Easy to tell by the crust. I really wanted to send it back except we'd already been at the restaurant for 90 minutes and it was getting late. Service: 4I feel bad for our server who was likely overworked, but scarcely seen and not terribly helpful. This is why I hate the service based industry. Our awful experience shouldn't be taken on the chin by the guy doing 20,000 steps over 4 hours for people upset at something he didn't cook. Value: 5I've made my point on this from the Antipasto. They have some balls charging what they are for what they produce. Recommendation: go for the atmosphere as long as you don't care about screaming at the people you're with over the noise, go for the food if you don't care about how good it is, or go if most other Boston restaurants are closed.
Be the first to ReplyWent to Venezia's last night with a party of ten.
The waitstaff was great and the food was excellent . All in the party agreed. Can't wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyOk, The view is really beautiful.
I'm sure sunsets are even prettier. But other than that, not sure this place is worth the drive. Came here for lunch as part of the 'Dine out Boston" experience.I picked it because I was enthused that the menu was had alot of good options BUT unfortunately ALL the food fell short.Got the mussels for the appetizer, Its was ok, nothing spectacular.Got the salmon and risotto for the entrée, It was soooooo bland. And so oily. Even with the lime and some chilli flakes it was flavorless. Probably the blandest plate of food i've eaten in awhile!Molten chocolate cake for dessert was a cake with melted chocolate on top. Arent these supposed to be the type when you cut into it, it oozes chococlate..????I like that theres free parking, thats always nice. Maybe an app and drink spot to enjoy the view but i wont come back for a full meal.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for restaurant week.
Ordered the Caesar salad, chicken saltimbocca, and for dessert was the chocolate molten lava cake. Honestly the food here isn't great at all. The food is just so completely bland and lacks any flavor just a huge disappointment. The view and staff are indeed nice which is why I'm giving it two stars but I won't be returning.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant gave me titanic vibe.
Very elegant and luxurious with lovely sea view near the patio. It's what seem to me located in the middle of nowhere. You know like those industrial plazas with plenty of parking spaces. I have blessed my tastebuds with frequent fine dining experiences, and the foods here are not one of the finer ones, not something that I will be missing. I have nothing to complain about the quality of the foods, but food's presentation could definitely use some work. They looks like foods that could come from a lower rank restaurant (not cheap, just lower rank).
Be the first to ReplyI'll be honest.
I looked at the menu and I wasn't totally enthused but my husband insisted to come over here to see the view. So here's the truth, the outdoor patio view is absolutely beautiful considering you see the Boston skyline. The food was quite dull. The meatballs were quite plain with nothing spectacular about it. It was tomato sauce with a slice of melted cheese. The oysters were fine, and the calamari was good but the scallops as a main course where sadly disappointing because they were small and overcooked presented with mashed potatoes and two soggy asparagus. My daughter ordered the linguine with mushrooms and it couldn't have been so plain because the linguine was all overcooked and breaking apart on the plate with a bunch of mushrooms on top. It reminded me of school cafeteria food... Totally uneventful. I did tell the waiter how I felt and he was very good about it so they gave us complimentary tiramisu which was actually pretty good but I don't think they use mascarpone cheese. Here's bottom line, if you want to see the view with a glass of wine and some apps this is a place to go but the food is really not up to standard. It has an opportunity to up its game. The food seemed to cater to people who don't know Italian food and don't really care what good food is. The place caters to a lot of functions and celebrations but that's where it stops because it tasted like typical buffet wedding food. I feel that they have an opportunity to really be a first class establishment if they tried.
