A gem of a place! Fabulous food and service!
Absolutely love this cosy and friendly restaurant! What great find! The food is super delicious, a mix of Lebanese, Indian, Greek, Eastern European! The staff are so friendly and efficient! We will return!
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming Lunch Experience.
Disappointing. No warm welcome. The server didn’t connect with us. My chicken was tasty but mainly a large bowl of warm rice with just a bit of chicken. The lamb with lime was also flavoursome, but dry and unattractively served - just a plate full of chopped dark meat. Shared starter - Babaganoush was good. Shared dessert - rice pudding - OK One glass of wine One Coke It’s Chelsea, so expecting high prices - however the price (over £100) should match the whole experience - it certainly did not. No friendly goodbye. Underwhelmed, won’t be returning.

Wow! The dishes served have all outdone one another, the food and flavor was superb, the plethora of spices and mediums in the dishes had made for such a wonderful and sensational dining experience. And the service was wondrous, a thanks to Adam, our waiter who was incredibly helpful, courteous and kind. We will definitely be coming back!

Super tasty food and friendly staff. Especially the baba ganoush was fantastic! Cute and cozy athmosphere. And the cocktails were absolutely amazing, definitely try them when visiting

A beautiful and delicious restaurant. It has excellent service. It has a wonderful salad and a distinctive shish tawook with hummus and fattoush.

High-quality Lebanese/Middle Eastern menu with great food and attentive service. Recommended. Baba Ganoush was exactly how it should be.
Be the first to ReplyV tasty
We wanted to try so much on the menu and it was difficult to decide. The waiter suggested the lamb shank as it was a popular dish. It was very tasty and quite large. Loved the vermicelli. The minty/green yoghurt sauce was nice with it and should come with it. The tandoori chicken shish was tasty and tender. Our waiter was lovely and friendly and the food came out at a perfect time. We will be back;-)
Be the first to ReplyHidden gem with great flavour
This is one of those rare restaurants in London that feels authentic and independent, great food with friendly staff in a really nice small restaurant. It’s a bit out of the way so also has the hidden gem feeling. Not the cheapest option and the prices feel a bit uneven, but you do get a lot of food so beware of over ordering. Will happily go again and recommend to others.

Great Bahraini restaraunt in Chelsea Green. Friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely food. Interesting menu, ideal to share. Well worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food by very nice people!
Great food and people! We ordered a selection of starters and a salad to share. All dishes were very tastful and looking very appealing. We arrived here by accident but we did enjoy it a lot. Sitting outside under the heaters was nice. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, very slow service
Second time I've been here and my thoughts are the same. The food is great, but the restaurant is really let down by the service which is very slow. Waiters and waitresses huddle around the bar and don't really check tables are ok. You end up waiting ages to even catch someone's eye. Waiter had to take our order three times to get it correct and still the wrong drinks arrived. We ordered cocktails which we asked to have before our food but it arrived together. It was strange sipping a mojito then eating falafel! It's a shame for them too as we would have bought wine as well if we'd finished our cocktails! Decor and atmosphere is lovely and service is very pleasant when it comes - it was just very, very slow despite the restuarant not being that busy and there being lots of staff.

This is a very enjoyable restaurant with super nice service. The food is very tasty and a bit different to many other restaurants. Wines also good. Enjoyable.

I have been wanting to visit Villa Mamas in London since I had been to the one in Bahrain.
We went on a Thursdsy night and it was busy with locals which was a good sign.
For starters we ordered kashke bademjoon which was aubergine layered with caramelised onions and walnuts served with pitta bread and this was one of the most amazing starters I have ever had.
We ordered the chicken tacheen which was a dish of saffron layered rice with spice jewelled chicken and barberries and pine nuts. The top of the dish was topped with a layer of crusty rice and it was delicious.
We also ordered the stew with lamb and kidney beans with saffron rice and that was also good. However, we did observe that the locals were ordering the lamb shank dish which looked delicious and I will have to order that next time.
Overall, a good eating experience and I look forward to going again.
Middle Eastern food lovers, this one is worth checking out!
You definitely should check out this restaurant if you are fond of Middle Eastern food!
Hummus and plain khubus - My go-to dip with its subtle nuttiness and creamy texture which made a great combo with the warm bread.
Quinoa Tabbouleh - Super fresh salad, surprisingly filling.
Ch’ban Rubian - Flavourful stuffed prawn patties in a tangy sauce😍
Warak enab - Vine leaves filled with rice and veggies. Sadly, not pictured but these went down a treat as well.

We visited back in May and was seated outside under heated lamps (due to the virus). However, this was no issue as we found it created a rather intimate and warm experience even with the rain☔️
Villa mamas offered an exceptional range of cocktails which we also had no issue indulging in.😜
We thoroughly enjoyed all of the food with its wide range of different tastes, therefore I would certainly return and recommend for that reason.

Always good.
Been here twice in 2 weeks now and always a great meal. It’s inexpensive for the effort put into the food and the service is good and accommodating. Love it.
Be the first to ReplyWe decided to go here just
We decided to go here just before lockdown 2.0 hit the UK. We sat outside, under heat lamps which was nice enough on a cold night. The menu is not extensive but there were 4 of us and we ordered several dishes. All were delicious. I personally had the Tandoori chicken with rice which was very flavourful. In terms of wine selection, choices to buy the full bottle but only 1 selection if you wanted to go by the glass. Overall, good food and we had a pleasant evening.
Would recommend adding more wines that can be bought by the glass.
An absolute must try
Food is full of flavour and the atmosphere is great. I could not recommend this restaurant with its cosy atmosphere more.

Be the first to ReplyMarta’s recommendation
This is my 3rd visit to Villa Mamas London. I had Moussaka; which is Layers of spiced lamb, eggplant and tomato sauce, finished with bechamel sauce and mozzarella cheese served with bread; based on Marta’s recommendation. It is a tasty main and I love eggplant. However, this main is a very large portion and it is great for 2/3 people, not for 1. I would suppose it was not a good choice after all. I had Strawberry Mojito for a nice drink. I have met the Spanish chef and he is so sweet and courteous. The average rating is for the size and unwise selection.

So tasty
Amazing food, helpful, courteous, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. A lovely small restaurant tucked away, a great find, thank you.
Be the first to ReplyHalibut Sabzi
This is 2nd visit to Villa Mama's London. I was recommended to try the halibut fish sabzi herb stew from my previous visit. I had the halibut sabzi with Peach and passionfruit drink. The green stew was spicy with tamarind sauce, mixed with pilaf rice. The fish was well cooked and very tender with no dryness. The portion was well enough for a good lunch. I will visit again in the near future to try other fish dishes.
