Based on our recently stay at the Waldorf Astoria located on the strip of Las Vegas, unfortunately our stay was not what we had envisioned. My husband and I often stay at the Las Vegas strip when we are in town. We have stayed at more than 5 different hotels on the strip and heard raving reviews about the Waldorf. So we decided to book a few nights there and wanted to see what they had to offer. From the moment of checking in we asked to get a room upgrade since it was my husband's birthday. They were able to make those accommodations and I was looking forward to seeing the suite. When we got to the room it felt a bit outdated. The view was obstruct with the back of a billboard. It definitely did not feel like an upgrade...might have been a down grade from our original booking (we paid extra for the upgrade). The flooring was very scratched up and it just looked ruined down. What shocked me most was I notice the room was not properly cleaned. The coffee table in the living area had coffee/drink stains present. I then inspected the rest of the room and saw more stains on the vanity counter top in the bathroom. I didn't want to make it a big deal so I let that be and tried to be optimistic with the stay. The 2nd night we had issues with the lighting in the room. They were not turning off when we clicked the switch and had to call the engineering team from the hotel. They had to remotely assist us. Overall, our experience didn't feel like other hotels we've stayed at in Las Vegas. It didn't feel luxurious and the customer service was average. We've stayed at the Wynn, Aria Sky Suites, Caesars Palace, Palazzo, Resort World, and many more. We've always had excellent service from the time we check in til the end of our stay. The Waldorf was very flat in service and we hardly were able to get a hold of room service/front desk for anything. I hope my feedback can be used to improve the property in ways guests would feel more comfortable and have a more enjoyable experience.
