White House Tavern Aspen Reviews
The best $27 French dip sandwich I've ever had.
The fries arrived as an appetizer and were cold by the time my sandwich arrived.

Waited an hour and a half after ordering to get our food, and they still forgot part of our order. For $27, it is wildly overpriced, the service is terrible, and I don't plan to return. Decent tasting burger though.
The food is always excellent.
I love the chicken sandwich. It's a small restaurant but the staff is always nice and accommodating
We ordered sandwiches and few drinks plus fries.
The crispy chicken sandwich was just amazing. 10/10 recommend this place!

The restaurant is small and the menu is small, but the food is really good. A friend in town told us that White House Tavern is owned by the same company as Houston's which we love in our home town. Would recommend.

Solid sandwiches and no reservations means walk ins are an option for those who don't love to plan out their entire vacation itinerary. There was only a 5 min wait on a Sunday early evening late into the ski season. The fried chicken and fish sandwiches were solid, as was the salad. But just that and a beer will set you back over $100! #aspenthings
Small but classy and the staff and food are amazing.
Very busy and you should reserve a spot or you will have a long wait for lunch or supper. Celebrity sighting for us, we sat next to Steve Aoki the famous DJ. He is a very nice man and was accommodating to all the young people who wanted a selfie.
Extremely average and overpriced.
Service was good but the food was disappointing. I wouldn't get the Brussels sprouts - they are boiled and covered in a gross sauce. Also unwarranted BBQ sauce in a burger is criminal.

Bandara in Chicago has closed, when I stumbled upon the White House Tavern I was in my happy place again. Macho salad, French dip and my favorite the queso. Always get the dip duo with both sides queso!
Worst dining experience ever!
If you want a leisurely dinner, this is not the place to go๐ก. We were rushed out in just over an hour and we had appetizers dinner and cocktails. The server was aggressively pushing drinks and apps and because I didnโt want one of their signature cocktails, I ended up not ordering one with the rest of my family because I felt so rushed. The food was good but nothing amazing by any means. The worst part and the main reason for the 1 star- they rushed us so much that they literally had a group right next to our table waiting for it and we heard the waitress say that as soon as she cleared our table it would be theirs. I was still eating my salad! And my son was only half way through his cocktail. They want you to order the moon, but donโt give you time to enjoy it. I have to say I will never patronize another one of their restaurants.

Well if you would like a relaxing dinner, this is NOT the place to go. For context, you need to know that we ordered cocktails, starters, meals and sides. We were literally in and out of there in less than an hour. We put our name in for a table and were originally told an hour and a half wait, but right away the hostess said, no it wouldn't be that long. And it wasn't. We soon found out that it was because they rush you through everything. Ordering drinks, they were pushing you to order fast, but wanted you to just pick from their list of 5 cocktails. They were pushing everything from cocktails to starters to sides, but don't give you time to enjoy it(FYI- French fries are not included with the sandwiches). My son could barely finish cocktail ( he only had 1!) They literally had another group of people waiting right next to our table FOR OUR TABLE. I overheard the waitress tell them that she had to clear our table and then it would be theirs. I was still working on my salad! The food was good but not exceptional and certainly not worth this experience! I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Good delicious Service spectacular Wonderful location and views Had a delicious lunch....a grouper sandwich with a delicious beer
Found this place on yelp and headed over after the slopes.
We were there on a Monday around 1:30. Pretty busy but we got seats at the bar, which was first come first serve. Paige the bartendress took great care of us as if she could read our minds. Professional and friendly as we ordered two margaritas, hamburger and trout dip. Drinks were in point and delicious. Hamburger was enough for two with the add-on of fries. The trout dip was off the hook and l would go back just to have it again. As mentioned Paige gave great service and hope we get her next time Highly recommend!

That salmon is so good, I went back twice! Great vibes, quick service, and it was packed each visit
Great service and amazing food.
I am still dreaming of the Macho salad I ate. The only thing I found odd was being served wine in a cup vs a wine glass. Highly recommend!
I recently visited this establishment where a had a no so pleasant experience mainly by the behavior on manager Chris.
Stay away from this place if you want to enjoy your time while you are out here. Management attitude is greater impacted the overall dining experience.
The FISH SANDWICH is PAR EXCELLENCE!
A tiny little restaurant with plenty of atmosphere and excellent food. Depending on the day and time, there may be a line. Good idea to put your name in early.
Best in aspen
This is by far the best restaurant in aspen. Thereโs a huge wait time, but itโs worth it and understandable. The food is to die for, highly recommend the chicken sandwich and the French one as well.
Great spot for lunch
Went there for lunch. It was super crowded but they accommodated us by putting the four of us at two separate bar tables next to each other. The food was excellent, it was a lively atmosphere. The staff was really friendly.
All itโs cracked up to be and then some!!! ๐๐
Lived up,to the hype! Such a cool fun place and the food was superb! Donโt go to Aspen without going.
ALL GOOD
The service and food were exceptional. The environment fun and casual. From the hostess and waitress to the manager, everyone was attentive and upbeat. Reasonably priced food as well.
Deliciousness
So good was expecting tavern food, got a gourmet dinner. Had crispy chicken sandwich and shared fries with my hubs who had the french dip. So good extra sauce for the fries, I think wasabi? Anyway appreciated the extra step to ramp this up to gourmet!
Great spot...worth the wait without reservations
We had lunch in the bar. We ordered their fried chicken sandwich because its their specialty, as opposed to something we would ordinarily order, and it was fantastic. We didn't come here on a previous vacation because they don't take reservations but came this time and now know it is worth a wait!
No reservations, but worth the wait.
The staff at our hotel recommended we eat here, as we checked in during dinner Thursday evening. They do not take reservations, but we didn't have to wait long. Them menu is small and reasonably priced for Aspen. The food was very good. We had the deviled eggs, French Dip sandwich and fries. We watched the kitchen staff work very well together. We could see that the Crispy Chicken Sandwich must be a favorite.
