Wild Goose Tavern Chatham Reviews from The Last Year
Great Location, great service, good food.
Great location, great service, good food. We stopped for a late afternoon appetizer after shopping on Main Street. The restaurant is part of the Chatham Wayside Inn. We enjoyed the atmosphere of being in the heart of Chatham and watching all the people walking by.
Fun, easy & delicious
Delicious food, lovely waitress (didn’t get her name but brown hair- very sweet), and fantastic bar. Joe was great, and made an epic old fashioned for my other half. Wonderful evening at the Wild Goose -
Great reputation but not tonight
The place was not very busy but the poor service would’ve thought it was. The food was served cold to 4 of us, especially the asparagus, the potatoes were runny , seemed instant. The garnish on my haddock was sparse to none. We were served a Arnold Palmer and it was not drinkable, we sent it back and had water. We were still billed for it
Absolutely lovely setting and we were so looking forward to
Absolutely lovely setting and we were so looking forward to eating here. We ordered the stuffed quahog as an appetizer and my son had a cup of lobster bisque. I absolutely loved the stuffed quahog! My son said the lobster bisque was just alright. I then ordered the wedge salad and my son ordered the summer burger. What arrived was the regular burger. When we called attention to it, our waitress gaslighted us and said this was the summer burger. I pulled up the menu on my phone and told her it was supposed to have bbq sauce, fried onions, and homemade pickles. She tells us that the one cucumber spear is their "homemade pickles." We asked for the bbq sauce. Which she served another table before bringing the sauce to us. Then a few minutes later, she brings over the menu and I point out how he didn't receive the fried onions either. She says, "we'll just charge you for the regular burger!" That's what my son got!!! No fried onions, no homemade pickles. People working in the restaurant should know what the items look like and not try to gaslight you when they made the mistake and brought you the wrong item. She should have brought out the pickles and fried onions. Absolutely horrible experience!!!

The food here was great, and atmosphere was special as well for a fun night in the cape. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and everything was delicious. Would come back!
Sunday funday
Sunday funday at the bar. Great atmosphere and food. Chef SHANE has done a great job with the menu! Tried the crab cakes and quiche. Great friendly staff.
Surprise
New ownership should have stuck with what works! Where is the lobster roll? Fish sandwich? Baked cod, fried oysters, clams? People do not want a West coast menu on Cape cod. Service was wonderful. Delightful. Menu choices were very disappointing

My husband especially loved the Lobster Bisque, and I had a delicious vegetable curry. The service was great, and the atmosphere was very nice.

We were just there today, but we left without ordering, mainly because the hostess was rude. We took a minute (and I literally mean a minute) to decide where we wanted to sit, but they were not busy at all. She never smiled once, rolled her eyes and said "Inside or outside, ladies?" as if we were taking up her precious time. We didn't feel welcome there, so we left and went to Mahoney's instead. mubetter experience!
Okay but choose your time thoughtfully if you like a buzzy atmosphere
Food was nice enough but zero atmosphere in the venue. Maybe we just caught the time between lunch and dinner but it felt rather flat. Conveniently located on the high street.
Lovely atmosphere in great location but needs to work on food !
We were disappointed in the food. The outdoor deck is lovely, waiter was very good and attentive. We ordered the fried clams and as a New Englander who eats clams often, they were the worst. They were more like clam strips no bellies on my plate and so overcooked, I did not eat them. We have had lunch there before for salads and burgers and it was good. But as a Dinner experience very sad to say we would not recommend. It is such a beautiful place and location I think revamping your menu and if your going to offer New England items like clams and lobster, perfect them please.
Best Breakfast & Service in Chatham
The restaurant is very charming, the food is delicious, and the service is amazing ! We had a delicious breakfast selected off of the fabulous menu. Our server was so friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very caring. I had a breakfast sandwich which was delicious, fresh, cooked perfectly and served with home fries, and my significant other had eggs, bacon, and toast. We can't wait to try the Wild Goose for lunch and dinner.
Beautiful outdoor patio!!
Great spot for a casual night out! Right at the heart of downtown Chatham! The back patio is so cute and cozy with string lights and beautiful landscaping filled with flowers. You can also enjoy live music coming from the Chatham gazebo while you dine! The goose fries are great if you like poutine and the menu is so diverse which is great for large families! The service is also incredible-everyone is so friendly and knowledgable!

This restaurant has so much space, and so many rooms-it's all so beautiful! We love eating here. Service is great, and the servers are all so friendly, especially with our kiddos. The food is all delicious. We got the flatbread and the poke. Both were simple but filling. Highly recommend a visit!
My husband and I were planning on eating lunch at this
My husband and I were planning on eating lunch at this Restaurant. There was a 30 minute wait for an outside table, even tho there were several empty but no cleaned tables. After the wait we were seated at a patio. In the back which was also half empty with dirty tables. The hostess as well as our waitress Caroline apologized for the wait. We ordered drinks which arrived in a timely manner as well as lunch. After about 50 minutes of waiting for a chicken sandwich and fish and chips I went to the front to ask were our food was. Our waitress as well as the hostess a d another waiter told me that they were understaffed. This goes to the management of this sorry place: don't seat customers all over the place if you can't serve them. We paid for the drinks, tipped our waitress who was a no fault a d did the best she could. Please stay away. I don't give my money to a place that treats its customers like number 2!
I had high hopes going into my meal, I had heard great
I had high hopes going into my meal, I had heard great things from friends about the restaurant. However, I soon learned the food was sub par. It's my understanding the resturant previously had a much better menu. The only good thing about my meal was my waitress, Christie. She provided us with great service and a warm attitude that distracted from the poor food. She deserves a raise!
I can't imagine anyone giving this place anything less than
I can't imagine anyone giving this place anything less than 5 stars. My wife and I had an amazing lunch at this very attractive place right on Main St. Chatham. The food was great, but our waiter, Jake, was even better. What a great guy and an outstanding waiter. I liked him immediately and would have preferred that he join us for lunch vs waiting on us. Loved this place and would go back in a heartbeat
This has been a family favorite restaurant of ours for
This has been a family favorite restaurant of ours for years. Maybe this was an off night. The service was terrible and the hostess was not concerned with our concerns. My family of 4 had reservations yet the family of 3 ahead of us didn't. They sat next to us, and after 1.5 hours, received their dinner, finished and offered the dessert list. Our waiter kept telling us he's checking on the kitchen. We decided to leave without eating and went to Viera on Main and loved it. Message to Goose Tavern.....learn customer service.
One of the worst dining experiences I have had to date
One of the worst dining experiences I have had to date (mind you this used to be one of my absolute favorite resultants at the cape!!! I have recommended this place to countless friends and family). After waiting for my dinner for over two hours (it wasn't even busy as I came on a monday night) my food never came. My waiter was nowhere to be found, and the hostess was smug and did nothing to aid in rectifying the unfortunate situation. I will not be returning to this establishment, and hope others don't experience my level of service.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
