Xin Chào Houston Reviews
No wonder this place is closing.
It's just so dismal as soon as you walk in. Oppressively warm. Only two people working the floor. Tables piled with food that hasn't been cleared. Everyone, diners and workers, just looks so unhappy.

Food, service, and sanitation has gone down SO far since the change in management/ownership. Xin Chao has been a go to spot for us the last two years because of the delicious food and generous happy hour, however, we will not be back. The waitstaff
Food was amazing, service was beyond terrible.
The tables, chairs, and glassware were all dirty. We waited 20 minutes before we had to asked if we could have our order taken. He acted confused and it was very awkward ordering. Was constantly trying to get the waiters attention for simple things l

Disappointed I ordered espresso martini, very odd that waiter said why don't you try lychee instead. I said, no I want espresso one. Then he says we are out of espresso. I ordered the drunken mussels from app side for dinner. It was no-go because

We waited so long to come here only because of the price.
We made a reservation but really didn't need it. It took a min for a waiter to come. I think I only saw a total of 3 men working. One was doing a ton of walking around. My glass of water had a fly in it and I had to ask for a new glass. The oyste
The dry rub crawfish were really good.
The spicy garlic crawfish were good. Viet oysters were really good. Drinks were a bit pricey. Overall a good experience

So I gotta say, I've been here a few times before.
The food is GREAT, no complaints there. A bit expensive though (Seriously, almost 30 bucks for fried rice with a tiny bit of brisket... FRIED RICE.) I'm posting this review today because of how I was treated last night when I tried to eat there. Fi
Went here on a Sunday and it was such a vibe.
Ate and drank at the bar. Egg rolls are bomb and beef tip noodles were amazing. Go see cute bartender Alex!!
We went here to celebrate an 18 year old's birthday.
He wanted Viet-Cajun crawfish and Xin Chao has now merged with Saigon House on 1960 that recently closed. I believe that the chefs are siblings. We all love Tony Nguyen and Siagon House so we followed him here. Food: 1) Appetizers: * Pork Belly Ba

Enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Xin Chao.
Was also pleasantly surprised to see they do weekend happy hour. The food, the service and the ambiance are fantastic. Good wine list and beers as well as mixed drinks. We had the egg rolls and Pork belly Bao as starters and both were fantastic.
First time at Xin Chao in over a year.
.. and was a bit disappointed. We went for the special HTX Mini Restaurant Week. I was excited for the pork belly and they apparently were completely out of pork related menu items... which always sounds like bad planning on their part but I obviousl

Phenomenal place with fantastic food.
Huge fan of the pork belly bao, Saigon old fashioned, Nguyener Nguyener chicken dinner, sidewinder fries, and basically everything else we've had.

Went with my Vietnamese parents and aunt and uncle who like to eat modernized dishes, and though the food was overpriced and portion size for sharing was not a lot to make you spend even more, the quality, service, and ambience was nice here. Unique
Service is terrible.
Host clearly hates their job. Empty ass place and they made it difficult to get a table. Food is mediocre and overpriced. This is hardly a viet restaurant besides the egg rolls. They're only in business because of their celebrity tv chef.

Read all the rave about must try new Asian Fusion Restaurant in Houston and was disappointed. Food was aight nothing special. A little overpriced, would rather eat at Saigon's House for better food at a lower price.
Modern Vietnamese in HTX
Vietnamese food isn't usually high end but Xin Chao is excellent in presentation and flavor. I wasn't sure what to expect since my friend recommended it and I had anticipated going elsewhere until I found out that the other restaurant I wanted to try
Unique spin - award winning
Overall very tasty. Got some of the recommended dishes - pork belly, fried chicken, wagyu meatballs. All were good and presented nicely. Expect it to be packed and you will need a reservation.

the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Xin Chào Houston at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Xin Chào Houston page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
    1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Xin Chào Houston to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Xin Chào Houston!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
