🤢 2/5 - Low level treatment

We went to this restaurant for a dinner as a couple, and we opted for the eight-course tasting menu, accompanied by a bottle of wine. Let me start by saying that when you go to a place like this you expect a high level of service, attentive to the needs of the diner. Once the pre-dessert arrived, champagne and grapefruit, not finding the combination to our taste, like another couple in the room, we asked if a substitution was possible, given the other three desserts on the menu. We were told that it was possible. To our surprise, the proposed substitution consists of a scoop of raspberry ice cream, a sorbet which is usually served as the final course to each diner, regardless of the order placed, and which, at the end of the tasting, was, in fact, also proposed to us if to a different taste. Appalled by the situation, we communicated what had happened to the staff in the room, telling them that, in asking for the possibility of replacing the dessert, we expected an equal level of serving, and not to find ourselves faced with ice cream. The response from him was that that was the only possible proposal, that it was on the menu for a reason, and that it had to be understood. Practically suggesting that it was our problem if we didn't like it. We felt cheated. I believe that when a dish doesn't work, the right thing is not to blame the customer, but to fix it. Sin.
