Fantastic stay at the 1 Hotel Central Park. We were there celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday and the staff outdid themselves by creating an incredible Harry Potter theme decorations to our room. Upon arrival we were so delighted, as was our daughter. A big thank you to Concierge team Brayam, Michael, and Luis for putting everything together. It was a trip that we will always remember! 1 Hotel Central Park never disappoints! Thanks also to G who took great care of us on our last day...we can't wait to come back!

We walked into the 1 Hotel Central Park after an early morning flight, stepped in from a busy New York City sidewalk to a practical forest in the middle of the city. Plants everywhere, amazing smells, kind people. The kindest and most helpful of all was Chris at the front desk. Incredible service, kindness and attention to detail exudes from this man. You will be in good hands if you come stay here, from Chris to the rest of the staff they are ready to make your stay remarkable. A green oasis in a grey city!
A great hotel for our group
The hotel is great and the team is fantastic. Roberto, Vanessa, Shane, Michael and Bryam from concierge, Paulina and Lauren were great. The food was amazing and Chef Sylvain was very helpful and nice to work with. Our group had a great time at the hotel.
Style over substance
We booked this hotel due to its location and guaranteed interconnecting rooms for our family, both of which the hotel met. The hotel was disappointing in all other respects and did not meet the standard of its competitors in NY or comparables in other cities. The positive reviews here are genuinely mystifying; we did not experience good service and although staff were at best pleasant, they did not deliver. The restaurant is busy and unwelcoming to hotel guests - we tried to get drinks here twice and on both occasions 4 of us were shown to 2 low stools by the service area and restroom and then ignored. Bell staff were not available to help with our luggage from our rooms when checking out. We booked rooms with a “premium city view” - and got a view of scaffolding and for the first 3 days of ours stay 6 construction workers who seemed to enjoy the view directly into our rooms much more than we enjoyed our view of them. We were not advised of this construction work when we booked but when we complained reception staff told us it had been ongoing for a year. We experienced issues with a blocked and flooding toilet in one of our bathrooms. Each room had fire alarms located directly above the head end of the bed and which flashed every 5 seconds. The reception staff told us they received lots of complaints about this, but that this was the case in every hotel room in New York (eventually acknowledging that some detectors were better located than those in our rooms which seemed to be positioned for maximum sleep disturbance). The bathrooms have glass walls and no privacy at all - difficult to manage for a family sharing rooms. We brought the above issues to the attention of a “leader” on Day 1. The plumbing issue was fixed immediately, but otherwise nothing further happened despite promises to move us to other rooms/ re-look at our room rates and my chasing reception staff twice for updates. Following check-out the hotel advised that it had deducted the USD45 per room per day “amenity fee” on one (just one) of our rooms. (That’s the daily fee they charge for WiFi, nespresso pods and use of a gym - all standard stuff usually wrapped up in the room rate) as a small gesture and acknowledgment of the issues that we had faced. The gesture was derisory. Our experience at 1 Hotels Central Park was poor and we would not stay here again or recommend it to other families.
Amazing stay and outstanding staff, especially Joshua Quiza!
Excellent location, rooms are on the small size but the bed is very comfortable and the nespresso machine is a huge win! I've stayed here now at least 4 or 5 times. The staff though are what make this place great. Super friendly, professional and very helpful! Joshua Quiza is an amazing employee and this hotel is lucky to have him. Every time I go he remembers me and makes sure everything is taken care of for me!

An urban sanctuary!
I stayed here with my family for a weekend, and it was hard to leave! I travel a lot for work and leisure, and finding a hotel with service, comfort, location, etc. is hard to find. This hotel covered it all and more. From the moment we pulled up to valet, we were welcomed with a warm smile and felt taken care of immediately. Breakfast was delicious, with fast and friendly service each morning. The rooms were comfortable, with beautiful views of the park and city, and I loved sitting on the little nook overlooking the busy streets. I loved the foam roller and steamer in the room- something you don't normally see in hotels, and are useful items to have! I'm currently writing this from another hotel, and it just does not live up to my experience at 1Hotel Central Park. Thanks for setting the bar high and spoiling us - we can't wait to come back!
Great staff - always make me feel welcome!
The hotel has a good price point and is clean and comfortable, although the staff are what makes it special. Maryam has taken the time and effort to get to know me and was very helpful with finding the best room options for my family - as we typically travel with teenagers and need specific layouts and locations. Thank you again! The front desk and bell staff are also amazing and are always there to lend a hand or provide assistance - Chester, Josea, Shane, Anderson, Gee, and Lorenzo (driver) go above and beyond to personalize the experience. We find ourselves going back to the hotel often and the staff are a major part of that decision. Looking forward to our next stay.
Genuine hospitality
Very friendly and accommodating staff. My room was well appointed with extras you don't usually have in a room-steamer, yoga mat, etc. I liked the "one less thing" where you could leave an unwanted item of clothing and they would donate it. Talking to staff I learned many things about sustainability--they have a 5 min shower timer you can use if you want to try and conserve water. Great location. Staff were genuine and helpful with questions. Jams restaurant food was very good and served quickly.

My friend and I had an amazing stay at the 1 Hotel Central Park! The location is amazing, rooms were spacious and super comfortable, and the food was also great. Huge shout out to G who works at the hotel, he made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Cannot wait to come back hopefully soon :)
Go To Spot in Midtown
1 Hotel combines a perfect NYC location with meticulously maintained rooms and attentive service. Our 2nd visit was as good or better than the first. Quiet, park view room was a welcome respite from the rush of Manhattan. 1 Hotel is our go to Midtown place to stay.
Stayed for 4 nights recently.
I checked in and changed my reservation from 3 nights to 4 (Tu, W & Fr changed to Tu-Fr). On Thursday morning housekeeping came and asked if I was checking out and I told them that I wasn't and had changed my reservation. A little while later I got a phone call from housekeeping asking if I was checking out and I explained that I wasn't to them. I then received another visit from housekeeping and told them the story. We went out for the day and when we got back I was locked out of my room. I went to the lobby to find out what was going on and they said they thought that I was checking out and didn't know if my things were still in the room. I said "they weren't packed!" I spent a good 20 minutes down there trying to straighten it out and finally got back into my room with 30 minutes to get to a broadway show that we had tickets for. For my trouble, I was given $100 credit to use at the restaurant or apply to my bill. We had eaten at the restaurant (Jams) the night before and the menu was so odd that I ordered Brussels sprouts and potatoes. Not even a burger on the menu unless you want a chick pea burger. My room was across from the housekeeping supply closet and for some reason they were in and out and of it all hours of the night and day and were very noisy about it. Really annoying. When I got my credit card bill I found that I had been charged for an extra night. I called the billing team they were very pleasant and credited me. So location is good, rooms are nice but after all the annoyance and noise in the hallway, I'll find someplace else to stay next time.

We decided to check out the 1 Hotel Central Park in NYC and we are so glad we stayed! From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a cozy oasis right in the middle of the city jungle. The blend of modern luxury and eco-friendly design creates an inviting space where you can't help but feel at home. The rooms are like little havens of comfort and style, with everything you need to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city. The proximity to Central Park is perfect, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel is truly impressive. But what really sets the 1 Hotel apart is the people. The staff are incredibly friendly and approachable, always ready with a smile and eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Particularly, at the front desk. Austin, Josue, Joshua and Janae were absolutely stellar! Whether you need recommendations for the best local spots or just want to chat about your daily experiences, they're there for you with a genuine warmth and hospitality. They were like having friends in the city, and it makes all the difference in the world. There are several choices to make when it comes to picking a hotel in this neighborhood and I can tell you, I have stayed at some great places nearby, but this hotel has been the best one yet. Definitely not to be missed.

My 5th visit Dec 6 2023 for several nights I think it's time for a change, I keep falling for its location convenience, but at nearly 1000 bucks a night , some little things are getting to me. The sinks don't really drain well. Housekeeping did not refresh the fridge. That said, the bed is great, JAMS, does a great breakfast, but the bar has no Crown Royale my favorite night cap. Yes it's the most expensive time of year, but it's pay in advance for the room at reservation on line and that bugs me too.
Location is good but the staff sucks.
They make it so hard to check in and forget about trying to get a coffee in the lobby. It's been a challenge two days in a row. The rooms are meant for single travelers. The bathrooms have zero privacy.
-First Impression- Gorgeous exterior.
Attentive, and polite dorman helped me with by bags before I even got in the door. I felt so important, lol -Food- Fresh fruit in the lobby. I didnt order anything to my room or try thr restaurant -Service- Very friendly staff. Everyone welcomed me with a smile every time I walked in, and wished me a good day every time I walked out. Emerson checked me in and was able to upgrade me to a larger room which was greatly appreciated since I'm an overpacker lol -Price- Nothing in New York is cheap, but I was able to get the upgrade which made me feel better about what I paid lol -Did Not Like- There was a coffee maker in the room that I wasn't familiar with, took some googling and a decent sized mess to get it figured out, lol -Noteworthy- Ecofriendly! -Recommended?- Yes. I'd love to stay in a suite!

Thanksgiving day parade, I booked a room in March with parade views for my two eight year olds. I was notified 20 days before Thanksgiving in an email that I did not have a view of the parade route. The request was in the notes but never accommodated. They told me I was basically out of luck. Terrible customer service, never going back.
Not so great.
The service was snobby. The green aspect of it was cool but not when a lot of the greenery is fake moss that is dusty. The first day we were supposed to be move to a higher floor because it was so loud. They told us to pack our bags and that they would move us while we went to dinner. When we returned for dinner, I guess a new manager was on staff. They hadn't moved our stuff and they said they had no rooms available. They said they could move us the next day and that didn't happen either. When they asked how my experience was I said well I liked the one hotel in Brooklyn better. The snobby concierge said the one hotel is not for everyone. All I said is that I like the Brooklyn hotel better. I will not stay there again.

Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
