Araki Sushi Palo Alto Reviews from The Last Year
Food was FIRE!!!! Probably to 2 sushi spots in the Bay Area.
The beef roll and mango crunch roll was killer! Can't wait to come back.
Got it via DoorDash, happy with food.
Salmon and scallops good. Dragon roll good. Didn't like mango roll too much. Will come again.
So good.
Really nice lunch bento with tempura and beef teriyaki. Tempura was hot fresh and so crispy. California roll was nondescript but not bad at all. Love the salad and rice was tasty. I don't ordinarily order beef teriyaki but this was tender and very good. The teriyaki stuff poured on top was not too sweet but weirdly poured-on-top. The iced tea is good and not sweetened. Nic I walked in initially. Couldn't figure out if I should sit so went over to someone standing at a screen. He ignored me so I walked out. Figured I really wanted the bento I'd seen on the menu so came back and just sat down. Someone came over. It it was just a strange bunch of silent interactions with one guy. After a bit, another guy came out and helped too. So. Upshot: service is a bit rocky. Hence the 4 stars. I would def come back for another lunch special. Many people dining by themselves so that made me feel good and not so alone.
Great food for the price you pay.
My family and I came here and it was so worth it. Took it to go and food was still good after 30 mins of traveling time.
This is a small place on the corner.
You may have to do some walking because this is a very busy strip in Palo Alto with all the shops. My mom got the teriyaki salmon and chicken bento box and I got the salmon avocado and the caterpiller rolls. The salmon one needed flavor, but the ceterpillar one was good with the sauce they put on it. My mom also liked her meal. If you come here you have to go to Oklava next door, very good!
Best bang for your buck lunch in downtown Palo Alto- I've
Best bang for your buck lunch in downtown Palo Alto- I've lived here 13 years so I should know!
I tried this restaurant as it was suggested thru DoorDash.
I looked at the reviews and the pictures and it looked pretty good. I am currently hospitalized so I couldn't go into the actual restaurant. Unfortunately, I'm at the mercy of the delivery service.... Sadly, the food quality wasn't good. To have had to pay $62 dollars for a few rolls of sushi and a bento box that had a hair in it it was pretty disappointing. I tried to contact both the business and DoorDash and neither gave me anything as a refund for the quality and the gross hair. The sushi looked old, like it had been sitting there for a while. The avocado was brown... it simply wasn't worth the money I paid for and all the fees I paid. Maybe it was just my bad luck... but idk if I'll ever return again.
Lunch special is good.
Nice portion and came out fast! Taste 3/5. Would go again bc it's convenient.
We went to Araki Sushi for lunch.
This lunch spot is located in the heart of what we call college row in Palo Alto. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Given waters until everyone decided what they desired to drink. The menu is full of foodie possibilities. Two Friends got the Chicken Teriyaki Bento's. It includes soup, salad, steamed rice & 4 pcs California Roll. She added deep fried gyoza. Nicole enjoyed Eel Eggs. I forgot what it was called.... Ivan and Steven ordered the lunch special Roll combo. Any 2 Rolls $18.95. Any 3 Rolls $22.95. They're served with soup and salad. I enjoyed 8 pc deep fried California Roll. The portions are huge. They create everything fresh in front of you. Happily to say, we were full and ready to nap but hi ho back to work we go. Well definitely come back soon.
This place is so good! The staff is friendly, and service
This place is so good! The staff is friendly, and service is fast. I love that they have dinner special options. For a little over 20 dollars I was able to get 2 sushi rolls, miso soup, and salad. The rolls were nice and flavorful. It got really crowded shorty after, but it wasn't too loud in there.
This spot is probably the most affordable sushi restaurant
This spot is probably the most affordable sushi restaurant in Palo Alto. Each roll has a good amount of fresh fish and the service is great. Street parking is limited on weekends, but it shouldn't be too hard to find parking during the weekdays. Mango Crunch: Love this combination! The fish/mango is nice and cold, giving the sushi a refreshing yet savory taste. The tempura flakes add a nice crunchy texture to the sushi, making it a party in your mouth. Tekka Maki: Can't go wrong with tuna. The fish is fresh and simple rolls like this make me happy. Super cheap too! Samurai: Spicy Tuna was not spicy and was packed with tons of flavor. I love the combination of spicy tuna and salmon with this roll. If you want the best of both worlds, this is the roll to get.
The food is good and the price is fair.
I really like their bento lunches. This is my best choice when I'm working.
Delicious sushi at great prices! Here's my
Delicious sushi at great prices! Here's my take: Victoria's secret roll: Very different than anything I've had before. The roll is wrapped in foil and set on fire at your table. The taste was interesting but not my favorite. Philly roll: Incredibly delicious! It's a very simple roll but very well made. I even ordered a second one :) Tiger roll: This was a salmon, cream cheese and avocado roll and was better than expected. The amount of fish was great and overall great quality. Both the sake (salmon) and maguro (tuna) sushis were delicious. The portion of fish was very generous and yummy. The restaurant itself is nothing special ambient wise, but the man who served us was very nice and helpful. Will definitely come back.
Great food + Good prices = Good value! The only downside
Great food + Good prices = Good value! The only downside is the service can be very slow and inattentive when the place is full.
