Blue Duck Tavern Washington Reviews
Exceptional food & service!
I come to DC for work often and will definitely be coming back to the Blue Duck Tavern! This restaurant blew me away with their fresh ingredients and exceptional service (thank you Beth!).
Not memorable
The food was good but not the experience I was expecting. We ate the oysters, crab cakes and spinach salad. It all tasted good what was not memorable. In fact 3 days after been there and trying to remember what we ate it took me a while and I had to
Stopped in for a quick bite and grabbed a seat at the bar.
Bartenders were friendly and attentive. The pork belly sandwich was so delicious and so were the sticky buns! Definitely would like to return and give dinner a try!
The service is superb.
The food is very, very good but even pricier. We ate outside and it was lovely: quiet so old ears could hear and beautifully planted.
Blue Duck ! Bravo!!
Excellent food and fabulous service. Really nice clean bathroom. Wonderful wine list. I loved the baby gem lettuce. The heirloom tomato salad was good but the gem butter lettuce was outstanding! The roast chicken was so moist and the gnocchi served w
Wonderful Birthday Celebration Dinner
Decided to have dinner to celebrate my birthday. The overall night was very enjoyable. The menu was extensive and mouthwatering. We decided to partake in the restaurant week menu and were not disappointed. For my appetizer I had bone marrow and it wa
Very Good Few Hiccups
We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant and found the food to be quite compelling. We did encounter a few minor issues and that we were charged five dollars more for our bottle of wine than was published on the wine list and similarly I was overcharged
Best Americana In DC
My perennial go to favorite in Washington D.C. for high-end Americana food. Located in the Park Hyatt, the menu is simple American comfort food, but utilizes the highest quality ingredients. My partner and I shared a charcuterie plate, I had the Blu
The Blue Duck (BD) is the place to go.

Blue Duck at Park Hyatt Georgetown is the BEST of the best
The bomb!!! It explodes of awesomeness. The food and staff is incredible. The chicken and filet and bone marrow app are to just die for. I don’t know if I come here for the staff or food. Actually both. Gladis and Zack are the best.
The wood fired whole fish was the standout of the night.
Perfectly grilled, deboned before hitting the fire, and stuffed with a mousse that kept every bite moist and packed with flavor. The flesh was tender, the skin had that ideal char, and the whole thing was done with so much skill it honestly surprised
An incredible experience.
The food is way too fancy but the charred salad was amazing, from someone who would never say a salad is good.
Breakfast here was unbeatable.
The duck confit hash is completely out of this world. Dinner for one without a reservation on a slow weeknight was a little more of a "lame duck" experience. Pointed to the lounge when I could still go online and make a reservation for on

It was tradition to visit Blue Duck Tavern with our multiple visits a year to DC. We walked in for brunch and no one was at the front after wait 15 minutes, we realized that they were only sitting families from behind the coffee station. After waitin

Highly recommend the whole fish, smoked duck, and soft boil duck egg. You will not go astray here.
10/10 recommend. Superb service and excellent food. Welcoming place for our little family.
Everything was perfect. On a whim, our little family of 3 stopped by Blue Duck Tavern on a Sunday evening after getting off a plane back from Miami. It was the perfect place to wrap up our vacation before heading back to real life and work. Our meals
Went for dinner on a Saturday evening at Blue Duck Tavern
Went for dinner on a Saturday evening at Blue Duck Tavern and had a solid meal. Started with the Gem Salad which was very good and had the Duck and Crab Cakes for entrees. The Duck entree came with a Duck breast and the leg. The breast was prepared
I've ate here a few times.
There are definitely some great options but I think the quality has went down a bit over the years; they did lose their michelin star a while back. Service when I visited has been fairly good. Ambiance is definitely more upscale. Still good for offic
Excellent food and service but bad design
Blue Duck Tavern is the hotel lobby bar and restaurant at the Park Hyatt. As a guest at the hotel I had drinks, two dinners, and breakfast every day of my 4-night stay at the hotel. The restaurant is excellent. It’s one of the better restaurants
A Great Evening
My wife and I had a fantastic experience here. We had the chef's tasting menu which was very reasonably priced at $95 per person. We added the wine pairings and each wine matched the accompanying course very well. The 4 course menu was a lot
Get the apple pie
It’s the restaurant of Park Hyatt and is a great option for breakfast or brunch. The dinner menu is limited and what’s on offer is quite pricey. I do not usually like burgers but theirs I would order. Meat is juicy and the bun is soft and tasty.
Amazing
Beautiful space, excellent food, great wine selection and top notch professional service. What more needs to be said? A must for foodies in the DC area.
