We had an absolutely amazing experience at Clarklewis.
We loved the setting -- it felt both laid-back and welcoming, yet upscale at the same time. Our server was top notch -- very knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions. And last but not least, the food was delicious! From our appetizers

Our most recent visit to Clarklewis was superb.
My spouse and I usually split one of each of the appetizers, salads and entrees. The sprouted cauliflower is wonderful - very innovative presentation. Our salad is often the beet salad and the chicken entree is also superb. The waitstaff is profes

My wife and I love to dine at Clarklewis.
Very nice dining room, plenty of space between tables and great ambiance. You can see and smell the wood fired oven from everywhere, perfect. When the weather is nice and the big wall of garage doors are open, a truly open air dining experience. Easy

Felt cheated.
Wanted to experience a wonderful meal and watch fireworks, since they advertised fireworks in their parking lot sectioned off with hay bales and music. The service was so slow, 40 minutes until we got our drinks. Almost missed the fireworks but was a
Excellent choice for business dinner.

Average food, over priced, long waits for food to arrive.
It took 1hour &45 min to get our food. Floor was unorganized and chaotic.. cocktails took 30 min. Descent food, small portions, but not worth long wait and they tack on a 16% service charge—
Yikes!! 30-40% surcharge + gratuity?!?!
If you dine here, be ready to pay 30-40% more than menu prices between their surcharge and separate gratuity. Here’s the deal: CL now charges a 16% surcharge that they specifically say in the menu is _not the gratuity_… so when the bill comes it
Posted Cost Plus 36%
Plus 36%. That's what you may pay above the posted menu prices. When you receive the bill, there is a 16% "service fee." On the check, it states that the service fee is NOT a gratuity so...if you're like me, you add another 20%.
Please get rid of the weird "service charge"
The good: Our waitperson was lovely and made excellent wine recommendations. The crust on the gluten-free pizza is super tasty! The rest: Slow service and prices. We ordered the salmon tartare, asalad, a pizza, pasta, and dessert. The food was ve
Overpriced
Nice decor and menu. Live jazz music on the patio Thursdays in the summer. Food was delicious. Sadly the extra slow service and mandatory 16% to the house totally spoiled the experience. Can't recommend.
Excellent Gem Find
I ended up here by myself due to weather and travel issues with my group. But it was so worth my effort to go out on my own. The sommelier was super sweet in seating me on a larger table by myself, and I felt well taken care of! The food was exce
Lovely evening at Clarke Lewis, a personal fave every time we are in PDX.
We started the evening with drinks at the bar from Justin and the Clarklewis team. We ordered two dozen of the Hammersley oysters, brining and sweet between three of us. Then we enjoyed the Wagyu appetizer. It was tougher than we expected. For the ma
Excellent Location for Business Dinner
We had a great business dinner. It was a Tuesday night after 7pm, so not super crowded, and the low noise level was great. We spent 3 hours and had great service the entire time. The salmon was tasty, and my colleagues' plates were wiped clean.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Clarklewis Restaurant Portland at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Clarklewis Restaurant Portland page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
