Store owner definitely seems like he owns this shop, I will say that. Far too patronizing to justify the worth of gentrification, lack of substance, and undeserved pretentiousness. Makes sense with the employees he hires who will probably continue to talk mess loudly and proudly about customers and their edgy manic pixie dream girl lives. Didn't want anyone in trouble for a silly undeserved review considering I'm amicable with record store owners that actually know how to organize and manage their stores. Not saying people who work at shops shouldn't have leeway, but common sense dictates you don't loudly talk about "sh*tty drummers" and customers who were just there in front of customers that are right here, Oren. General politeness aside, the collection was lacking and unorganized. Even if other customers were moving vinyl to other sections, it does not warrant an entire rows having only 9-20 vinyl to flip through or rows with 10+ genre cards with zero vinyl genres in between. Consolidation when you don't have product doesn't have to be done everyday. I don't have the patience, meticulousness and knowledge on records so that's why I don't choose to own a record shop. What I do know is, If you go a week looking barren and unkept at any store, it's not a good look, Oren. This establishment: -lacks tact and substance-is a specific type of gentrified tackiness that fits in with the rest of the face value shops on the street-should just be called Cosmic Cafe instead raising hopes by featuring vinyl as the saving grace. I didn't have a latte but I'm sure it was better than the selection. At least the other pretentious record shops nearby have the sense to organize their items, be polite and at least rudely respond through a DM or simply not at all. So I'll be taking my pity star back and give it the rating you deserve for your management, Oren.
