Delbar Middle Eastern Atlanta Reviews from The Last Year
Truly enjoyed my experience at Delbar.
Our food was excellent, from the beginning spread to the final course. The star of the show was the Chicken Kofta! I will be returning to this restaurant so long as they continue to serve it. In addition to the amazing food the customer service was top tier! Our waitress was extremely attentive the entire time.
Excellent delicious food fun for the whole family.
Make sure to get the hummus & pita bread.

The food is amazing every time I go, the service is consistent and they are very attentive, which I love. I only had nice servers so far. And it's always comfy and a mood in there. All around I love this place and I been to other Mediterranean restaurants and they don't compare to this one.

Bruh!! Everything we orders on the menu was so so good! I went there with my girlfriend and her parents and we all concluded that was one of the best meals we've had. The different humus specifically the mushroom and the lamb along with the sea bass, it was incredible. We also really enjoyed our server/bartender whose name is either Matt/Adam(sorry)! Overall incredible meal and ambience and we will for sure be back!
We had an awesome meal of authentic dishes.
...our server Erfan (sp?) was amazing!!!! Check out these beautiful dishes...
Place to enjoy fusion grilled food
Predominantly grilled food with a touch of arabic & Indian cuisine. The place seems to be very popular as getting reservation is challenging. Portions served were generous though the grilled shrimp/lobster offering was not very large. The fusion Rice Pilaf was very tasty and interestingly served post baking. The bread ( similar to Indian naan) served gratis was exceptionally tasty & crispy. It has also tables available outside, which makes it more interesting on a pleasant evening. Inside could a bit noisy too. Personnel serving were efficient and were very busy.
The absolutely best food I've had in Atlanta.
It was fresh, bold, hearty, and amazing! I will say, it gets busy. The food came out relatively quickly, but the bar took about 35 - 40 minutes to bring one drink. Will be returning! Very cute for a date night/intimate dinner with friends or co-workers.
If you like Ethiopian food this is a great place to go.
I enjoyed everything I've ever ordered here. The vegetable spaghetti is very good.
The food was great as well as the ambiance and atmosphere.
The service was phenomenal, as I was on crutches and they made sure that I was comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.
Amazing and helpful service, good came out quick.
Portions are large so this is a great place to eat family style. Everything had such amazing flavor. The highlights for me were the coconut chai and the fries...THE FRIES
Went to the Inman Park location for the first time a few
Went to the Inman Park location for the first time a few days ago, and definitely enjoyed it. The Omani shrimp is an absolute must. The endive citrus salad was great and refreshing, but got to be a bit much by the end (and the dressing reminded me a bit of lemon pudding after a few bites). The chinjeh came recommended by our waiter and was really excellent--super tender and flavorful. The gheimeh bademjoon (lamb shank stew) was also good--the lamb was so tender, but the sauce trended a bit sweet for my own personal preference. Finish with the faloude--a really interesting and refreshing dessert!
Opportunity to Share Many Flavors
Phenomenal meal and great for a large group given the opportunity to share and taste many items. Appetizers are loaded with flavor/texture and give you a sense of what is to come. Our group shared multiple and especially liked the hummus, eggplant and chicken wings. We shared the sea bass which melted in your mouth and lamb kabob. One rice dish is suitable for 6 people and lives up to the menu description. Deserts are similarly strong with delicate sweetness and middle eastern flavors. Our server provided a full explanation of the menu and recommendations at the outset which proved to be 100% accurate.
One of my faves in spite of some experience issues
Food is phenomenal, the rest is hit or miss. Some of the staff is excellent and so accommodating and others definitely aren’t. Also, they have an annoying parking situation where all of the spaces near the restaurant are valet. Does anyone still appreciate this? If you don’t want someone else driving your car you have to park in an office park well behind the restaurant and slog thru a wooded area to get to the restaurant. Really not a great, elevated experience. (This is Alpharetta location). I’m going to try the Atl location & see if they are better.
Great dinner
This place is hopping every night and serves amazing Persian food. We had a private event in their side room and had excellent food and service. The variety and recommendations were great and different food than I would normally order myself. Overall a great evening!
Had Reservation but they Didnt Hold Up their end
We had a reservation for 12:45 and by 1:15 they hadnt seated us and had no idea when they could. Really strange. At that point why are you even taking reservations...so we left.
The labneh is worth a try
It’s so busy here tonight for a Sunday night. It’s good we only have a small party of two, our small count got us a table quicker. We started off with a Falafel plate, labneh with squash and figs, hummus, chicken kafta, green zhoug, torshi, spicy tahina, garlic toum. $94.74. The labneh is different as a sweet spread. The labneh tastes as if there is cream cheese in it, even though there isn’t any in it. It’s quite good for labneh. The torshi isn’t too bad, could be a bit more pickled flavor for me. It’s more of a dry pickled veggie. The chicken kafta is dry, so is the falafel. The appetizers and starters are good here, the entrees aren’t as good as the start of our meal though. The green ghouj and the spicy tahina are both good. The garlic toum isn’t garlicky enough, doesn’t have much flavor to it actually.
Dinner
Huge portions! The dill labneh was fantastic- as was the beet carpaccio. The dukkah on the carpaccio made each bite unique. You can ask for small portions of the spreads thankfully. The tiger prawns had great flavor. The lamb neck was massive. Seriously it would take 2-4 people to eat it I think. The rice was delicious but also massive. Use Resy for reservations. There is a public parking lot just down the street. Very busy restaurant. There is a $4.49 digital fee if you pay by credit card.
Great food, problematic service and timing
The food here is great. Loved everything we ordered. Brunch menu is interesting and includes some lovely desserts. Decor is very nice. The problems mainly stem from service. We had a 12:45pm reservation and weren't seated for 40 minutes, after 3 enquiries. Their website stresses that everyone in your party must be present to be seated, and they'll cancel your reservation if you're late, and you can't stay more than 2 hours. Fine - we're punctual people and we understand the restaurant is popular and busy. But if you're going to proclaim these high standards on your website then you need to respect your customers' time and adherence to your policies. They either overbooked, or they failed to get people out in a timely fashion. Our server was nice but service wasn't smooth. Our side dish came out way before the main entrees. One person's drink was forgotten and delivered 20 minutes after everyone else's - and this required two requests. Also, the website directs people to a parking deck that was marked as for "residents only" when we got to it. No matter how good the food is, the rest of the experience detracted from our time there and will prevent us from dining her again.
Beautiful atmosphere, amazing service and exceptional food.
Beautiful atmosphere, great service and exceptional food. We were a party of seven. One of us has many food restrictions. The server too his time to talk to her about them and even brought her a menu in which he had circled the food that were safe for her to eat, amazing. Food and cocoa tails were to die for. We had a number of appetizers to share and they were all very good. Entrées were good too. The sea bass was a big favorite of the whole table.
Exceptional
Excellent customer service. The waiter went above and beyond to accommodate a guest’s dietary restrictions. The mezzo and spreads were to kill for. Fresh, impeccable, presentation, extremely flavorful. Everything else was delicious as well. Overall an A+ experience.
The best meal we’ve had in ages!
We had several dishes and each one was amazing and startlingly delicious. Flavors were complex and complimentary. ….better than we could have imagined. Our server Jennifer was friendly, knowledgeable about each dish and made our experience exceptional. We appreciated warm thoughtful hospitality by all staff. The lighting and ambiance were beautiful. We were delighted!
