A different experience full of flavor.
More than a restaurant, this place offers a gastronomic experience where the owner and founder of the place receives you personally and explains the origin of the restaurant and subsequently explains the origin of each of the dishes that are all served to you based on corn either in tortilla, gordita or some other presentation. All the dishes are very original and with great flavor. The only thing there is a menu is drinks since the dishes offered are those that the owner and main chef decide that day.
One of the worst services I have ever encountered
One of the worst services I have ever encountered. They left us waiting for two hours. After another half hour. They passed some foreigners before us so that the malinchismo was complemented by the bad service. When I asked how much longer we had to wait, "Bri" – I don't know why they treat someone with such hostility as the person who serves the diners – told me rudely that because of her we were even going to have to wait longer. When I asked him for explanations of the times, he responded condescendingly. When I complained that he had a terrible attitude, he told me that we couldn't eat there anymore. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she was the manager. I asked for his full name to file a complaint and he did not want to give it. IT'S EVEN THAT GETTING FAME WORTH ALL CONSIDERATION FOR PEOPLE.
Very interesting concept
This was the most interesting place I visited in my trip to Mexico. There was no menu. They sent you whatever the kitchen cooked. In each round, there were two "snacks", one with meat and one vegetarian. After each round they would ask if you wanted to continue. The food was very special. Most of the dishes were good. The "agua de día" was also very good. The two of us spent around M$1100. We had four rounds of food, dessert and one drink. I found it a bit expensive for what we got. They did not take reservations. It was a full house when we got there around 30 min after opening. We waited for one hour. We didn't wait there. We left after leaving our phone number, and they called us back. When we finished our meal, there was no more queue and the new guests were able to get tables right away. So my recommendation is to get there before they open, or during non-peak hours.
Never called for our table
We were really looking forward to come here and showed up around 11 on a Saturday. We put our name and number down and were told it would be about an hour. We walked around the neighborhood then came back after about 45 minutes to check. They told us it would be another hour. We walked around some more and after more than an hour passed we just ate somewhere else. In the end the staff never called for our table. I don't know if they were annoyed that we spoke only English or what, but it's really unprofessional to just never call someone back. I know they had my name/number because the person I spoke to on the second visit showed it to me on her phone and said we were #4 on the list. This wound up costing us precious hours on one of just two days we had to spend in Mexico City. I also tried to contact them with this feedback on Instagram but they just never responded. Very disappointing.
Very slow service
Really bad, very slow service for the type of dishes they are. They serve you the first dish and ask if you want more! It's a quesadilla!! Between dish and dish at least 15 minutes. The quality is good but the experience is slow and the worst thing is very expensive, approximately $500 per person for three appetizers. Better go to a market to eat better snacks.
THE BEST FOOD OF OUR TRIP
Unbeatable site in every sense. quality and variation of the food. Customer service and price
Nice gastronomic experience
A very nice food experience to taste different traditional dishes. The concept of it is interesting as there is no menu and the dishes keep coming once you’ve communicated to your waiter your food preferences and allergies. We loved everything except for the egg taco with hoja Santa. Sadly, the day we visited the service was a bit slow and there was not coffee left by 11am. Other than that everything is delicious and the waiters explain everything very well.
A different and delicious proposal
An original proposal with very Mexican culinary creations. The place is very small and busy, with tables for 6 people, to share a table. You don't know what you're going to eat until it's already on your table. They combine vegetarian and meat dishes, all very tasty. When we arrived they asked us if there was any type of food that we couldn't eat, so I imagine that if you don't eat meat, you can choose to order everything vegetarian. It is worth mentioning that we liked the flavors of the vegetarian dishes more. It is not cheap or expensive, but if you are a glutton, it will cost you gluttony and curiosity about what the next dish will be. The place is somewhat noisy. Fast and attentive service. Totally recommended if you venture into something different.
