This was one of the very best Chinese lunches I have ever had in San Francisco or anywhere. Simply outstanding food. So why only 2 stars? The chef himself waited on us, and before we even had a chance to peruse the menu, he whisked the menus away, asked if we have any allergies or foods we can't eat, and then said he would be back with a delicious lunch. Then out came one course after the next: burgers, soup, and then a main course with sesame chicken and beef. When we ordered rice to go with the main course, a server came out with an elaborate hot plate of rice, (almost like Chinese fajitas), poured the egg on the griddle and stir-fried the whole thing right in front of us. (All we wanted was a couple of cups of brown or white rice). When we go the bill, we near fell over: $121.00!!!!!!!!!! FOR LUNCH FOR THREE PEOPLE. Usually Chinese family-style lunches are a bargain, so we didn't even think to ask about prices, and having lived in the Bay Area for 30+ years, I'm used to high restaurant prices. But this was ridiculous, and VERY underhanded. I will never go back there again. Think twice before you do, too.
