I was very excited to dine here as I love sushi. I love the omakase experience. Upon arriving we were seated next to a lovely couple. We were asked if we wanted sparkling, still or tab water (I LOVE SF's tab water). Our wonderful chef introduced himself and began our journey. In the middle of our servings, a man approached us and poured one glass of champagne which he said was "compliments of the house". He assumed we worked at another location. When we clarified, he just walked away. Left us with one glass of Champagne. If you made a mistake, acknowledge it. Do not walk away, without a word, leaving one of us with a drink. He never bothered to ask if we wanted Sake (which I did and would have gladly paid for) or any other drinks. To be honest, this ruined my entire experience and made me quite mad. He went to the back where I clearly saw him tell another worker that he gave us a free glass thinking we worked somewhere. Do not treat me like this when I paid and came to this establishment to enjoy a meal. Our other server and chef were very kind. When he returned to fill my water, he spilled some and did not clean it up. I understand that Michelin does not consider customer service but I had a bad experience here. Watching him explain drink options to everyone in house but us also left a very sour taste in my mouth. I'm sorry Ju-ni, I looked forward to being here but if you treat your patrons like this then it will deter anyone from coming back. Everyone that I spoke to regarding this "mistaken identity" found it rather distasteful that he didn't offer to pour another class for the 2nd guest he clearly had mistaken identity with nor did he ever offer us other wine or sake options. On to the next...
