I ordered food based on the pictures that caught my eye on Yelp and had the server recommend a "must try". Service was friendly and welcoming as opposed to the hosts that look you up and down. Probably cuz we're younger than the typical crowd and don't look the part of people that would eat here. Glad we stayed anyways cuz the food was amazing! The ambiance on the rooftop was fun. They had live music that catered to a party that was going on. Little did we know the music was for the restaurant, not just that party. It was definitely a vibe, older crowd, but still a vibe. If you plan on checking this place out, I'd recommend reservations for the rooftop on a Wednesday night when they have live music. The inside didn't really compare to the outdoor setting. It was kind of sad, or others would say "intimate". Now, FOOD. The server recommended we try the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. & it did not disappoint! Pictured half of it cuz it smelled so amazing. It was mouthwatering. I'd definitely order this again. As for the Duck Meatball, yummmz. It's bigger than you think and for $18, as it SHOULD. Lol. Now the main entrees, the Grilled Mary's chicken actually surprised me. I'm not one to order chicken when going out to eat, but it was juicy and flavorful. Not gonna lie the Niman Ranch Pork Chop was kind of a let down in comparison to the flavors of all the dishes prior, but it was still good. I probably wouldn't order the pork chop again though. Drinks, the hazy beer we ordered was a must try. Had like 5. Wine, not the best selection, wasn't a fan of the wine that was recommended and drank a fruit fly (it was a too little, too late moment). If I were to recommend this place to anyone, reservations on a Wednesday night on the rooftop. Definitely try the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. Add the Duck Meatball if you plan on sharing appetizers. It is a rotating menu so just be aware that these items won't always be available when you go. For main entrees I'd recommend choosing two that catch your eye and sharing, we were stuffed. Giving them 4/5 just cuz of the hosts. No matter how good the food may be, hosts are the first encounter customers make at a restaurant and first impressions matter. Don't judge a book by its cover, cuz the food was amazing & we tipped 35%.
