I've had High Tea for 50 years all over the world and everywhere in Chicago. Tea at The London House was the most superb experience ever! The savory choices are superior to any tea sandwich choices I've ever had and the presentation was beautifully creative. Especially the children's menu. Treat yourself to the tastiest tea service ever!

Been visiting the lobby bar on St Patty's for the last 2 consecutive years. They do a special drinks menu for st patty's and drinks have been great both times I visited! It's not too crowded despite the craziness all around and is perfect t to sit and relax with your crew while enjoying the food!
Be the first to ReplyTo be specific this review is particularly pertaining to
To be specific this review is particularly pertaining to the rooftop Resturant portion of this establishment which honestly I don't know where to start...... The scenery was a bit basic, no windows to view anything, I mean this is a rooftop but I guess that means the actual rooftop because the Resturant looks like an apartment with tables. To be specific, the rooftop is separate from the Resturant in which you have to take a flight of stairs or elevator to reach. Not mad at that, this establishment was developed way before rooftops were a thing , so I understand. The wait staff was quite attentive but I made reservations for a birthday celebration and nothing was done to accommodate that like other restaurants I have attended when prompted "it's a celebration beaches!". The food was fresh, I guess, but it must have been waiting for a minute cause each item was a bit cold. Which was crazy because the food did come quick. Last but not least I ordered what they called a "caramel apple cheese cake " but it seemed to be meatballs in soy sauce. I can say it's my fault because we ordered it to go, and when we got home it was like the picture we loaded below, please review, that's just how we received it. I don't know folks, I guess if your stuck in that hotel, and you have no choice but why, I repeat , why would you ever fight through traffic or pay parking rates to get a over priced meal in a boarded loft, which is how it felt. I actually was overlooked everything except for the dessert because it was a birthday in which I believe they never even read the notes, understood. But what the fudge is a caramel apple cheese cake that looks like what we got????? How sway? How? I take it was a Carmel cheese cake in the shape of an apple but appear like balls to put in my mouth. No! Never! Thanks.
Be the first to ReplyLove rooftop cocktails here when the weather is nice.
Iconic views and great atmosphere, not to mention attentive staff and quality drinks.
Be the first to ReplyBe sure to add the London House experience when visiting
Be sure to add the London House experience when visiting Chi town! Starting with high tea and the excellent views of Downtown Chicago on their rooftop will not disappoint! Definitely stop for a drink and dessert at their hotel bar!
Be the first to ReplyLocation - amazing.
Close to the parks, you can walk to the museums if you'd like, about 2 miles or 45 min walk. Also close to Fulton Market, only a 1.2 mile or 25 min walk. There's a Walgreens super close by and it's just a 5 minute walk from the Wendella stop for the architecture boat tours. Service - housekeeping comes by every morning around 9-10 am. They are friendly, helpful and very nice. Upon check in we were informed that we can have river side views for only an additional $50 a night, only worth it if you like views. The rooftop views were nice. There's plastic igloos spaces right rent out for something more "private". There's a fire pit outside to warm up. You can grab a drink a downstairs from the restaurant. The ceilings are quite high, the lights dim in the room. The hot water comes out immediately, the water pressure is decent. There's a large mirror in the bathroom, great to checking your outfit before you leave. Our closet had two plush robes and slippers to use if you'd like. Overall great place to stay. Centrally located and decently priced.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed amazing breakfast in the morning at the city view room of the River. Customer service was amazing. The room was immaculately clean and exceptionally comfortable. The maid service was outstanding; returning to a freshly made bed and new towels was a delightful surprise. The only minor inconvenience was that the thermostat was cleverly camouflaged within the wallpaper, which took some time to locate.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a review purely for the lobby holiday high tea
This is a review purely for the lobby holiday high tea experience. This is my first visit to London house ever and upon walking in on the ground floor it is not very clear where you need to go. However, if you turn left and go to the bank of elevators is a dent tells you what floor to go to. I made reservations well in advance for this event, and when we got there although early, they were ready for us. The food and the sweets are super delicious and the tea menu was a great variety. It did not disappoint. It did take a while for the food to come out and perhaps because it's being freshly made as my assumption it was tasty overall Considering the competitors in the downtown Chicago market for holiday high tea it was definitely fairly priced and the service was very friendly and were not rushing us at all. I would definitely consider this holiday next year again and hope they offer it.
Be the first to ReplyMy room had a beautiful view.
The check in process was nice and easy. The bar stayed populated throughout my stay. My room even had fresh white robes.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful lobby, room, and view.
Location could not have been more perfect- just steps from every shop on Michigan Ave. Bed was comfortable and employees were lovely. We had the best weekend staying here and will absolutely be back.
Be the first to ReplyFavorite hotel to stay in Chicago near the river.
Friendly staff and great view from the room.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.
Very nice rooms with great views. People that work here are always very friendly and helpful. The ambience of the whole hotel is always awesome too.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful holiday decor.
Busy at the bar below but got good service on weekdays. Long time neighbor and still love the views.

Still in love with this hotel, it beats most hotels in this area to be honest. Just love being in the heart of it all, walking to all the shops and restaurants.

It's a beautiful hotel no doubt, and it's got great ambiance! We booked this hotel through work, and all Hilton's had honored our points. However when we arrived they claimed we booked through a 3rd party, and they refused to honor our Hilton points and benefits. For over $184 a night, expected better customer service. Hence why I'd choose Marriott over Hilton anytime. I think the overall bad customer service left a bad taste in my mouth.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this one hands down was one of my favorites! The rooms were beautiful, the staff and friendly and our whole stay we had everything we could have possibly needed. It's also in the perfect location! Far enough away from the mag mile that there's not as many people, but also close enough to walk. The views were absolutely stunning and the roof top bar was to die for as well. The only advice I would give is make sure you make reservations for the roof top bar! It gets very busy
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Hotel! Elegant and stunning architecture
Beautiful Hotel! Elegant and stunning architecture location is central so many sights and restaurants are walkable even with kids. A Must Stay!
Be the first to ReplyMy new favorite rooftop lounge in the spring and summer.
Their winter time events are also fun! Views are outstanding. Parking easy with valet or parking garage a block away!

First off, I rarely (emphasis added) give five starts, but my visit to the Spa yesterday was a great experience. In particular, I got a Groupon for a massage and facial so I got a better deal than what is usually charged. After my massage and facial, I came out refreshed and relaxed. Mission accomplished
Be the first to ReplyFor the most part, I am still a fan of the Hilton chain, so
For the most part, I am still a fan of the Hilton chain, so I sincerely hope this is applicable to the LondonHouse location only. This is not my first visit to this location, but it will be my last. Although the location is excellent, the service has deteriorated to the point to make the experience at this price point completely unacceptable. At check-in, I requested an upgraded suite of the agent on duty. Not for free, I asked for the differential was $75 per night. I said that was fine and and asked which floor was available. When told sixth, I accepted and went to my room, which was not a suite. When I called back down I was told there were no free upgrades available, but I did not request a free one. I was also told that my status benefits did not apply because I had booked through a third party travel service. I was not aware of this, did not see the terms of this in the reservation and was told that it is not a chain-wide policy, just at certain locations. I have filed a claim, so we will see what happens...On day two, I'd been out and about and came back to my room about 5PM and found it had not been serviced. I called down and requested a maid come, and was told one world come immediately, so I went to dinner, returning about 8PM. Still no service! I called again, spoke to the same guest services agent and finally the room was cleaned about 9PM. Thanks, but it would have been nice to have had it done during the day. Better late than never, I guess. So tell me why at 9:30AM in the morning, a maid tries to come in while I am still sleeping?? Check out is after 11, so doesn't there system show that perhaps clean up should come after that??Now - regarding the amenities: the beds are comfortable and the sheets are quite soft. But there is no way to make a decent cup of tea!! Fake powdered creamer (not even the liquid stuff??) and a less than clean-looking appliance. Of course, no free bottled water so I brought my own.I think the areas behind the bed and in the closet need a really deep cleaning. The shower hardware was substantial (it was an accessible room) but the shower curtain allowed all water for my showers to spatter all over the floor. The rack holding the towels and was quite dusty and my electric blinds failed to work. Maintenance came quickly to address that issue so I respect that. In summary, this review is as negative as it is because of the difference in what the service and experience used to be. I used to just feel indulged, but this time I felt merely tolerated. We had already booked LondonHouse again for our next visit in June, but we will need to change that immediately. I'm sure there are other area hotels willing to provide an exemplary experience at this price point, so we shall explore those.

Be the first to ReplyI am a diamond Hilton member, so I was looking for a nice
I am a diamond Hilton member, so I was looking for a nice Hilton to stay at for a very quick trip to Chicago. I have been to Chicago several times, but I have never been to this part of town where my room had such incredible views. I was a little skeptical when my Lyft ride pulled up and the Doorway is very small as it is nestled between two restaurants. However, once you got to the lobby floor, it was a quaint, modern boutique type entry. The lobby is on like the second floor of the building. There are these strange elevators well, not really strange if you've been to New York. You press in where you're trying to go and it assigns whatever elevator at that moment so you do not get in and have to press anything. I think that is a bit strange for most people, if you have never seen that type of elevator system. I found the hotel to be clean and the room was spacious and very nice. I had an upgrade where I had a spectacular view. The sheets were smooth and made the bed very comfortable. I ordered in room dining and I ordered the burger which was delicious. The fries were excellent as they were hand cut and perfectly seasoned and fried. I did not get a chance to do much at this hotel because I had some events to go to and it was a very quick overnight trip. So I did not get to try the breakfast or anything. I would definitely return to this hotel and try it again, the bathroom was nice they gave you a little bath sponge and there was shower gel. The water pressure was great and the temperature was consistent and not cold. The location was very convenient as it wasn't one of those places you got stuck in and there was too much traffic to get out of it. There seem to be lots of restaurants just around the corner within walking distance, which I didn't get to discover, but saw when I got in my Uber ride to head to an event . The only thing I didn't like was the lights in the room are a little odd in the room, trying to figure out how to turn them on and off as there seemed to be some sort of delay, but overall, this was a very nice day and I would recommend this hotel.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous rooms with gorgeous views of the river and city.
It truly feels like you're living in luxury. The bathrooms are also beautiful, with marble sink tops and sleek showers. The lighting is also incredible. The rooms come stocked with an espresso machine as well. Residents get access to the popular rooftop. The rooftop bar was closed this past weekend when I stayed although the one on the floor beneath was still open. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Be the first to ReplyGreat view.
Not very accommodating staff. Maid services must be asked for, water is $8 bottle and shower is small. Bed is comfortable and there are a couple of full length mirrors in room and sufficient office desk. The WiFi goes in and out of service, which is annoying. Only shampoo available has peppermint, which I happen to be allergic to... I was told that I had time to walk to Walgreens to purchase shampoo before they closed. Parking is valet only and will cost you $75 per day. Takes 15 minutes to get, car so plan ahead. Restaurant selections are better in Fulton Market area, but it is nice a nice walk up river to lake.

Great hotel right next to the Riverwalk! You can't beat the location and the rooftop views. The hotel is very modern and updated, with lots of amenities, and good service. Rooms are decent size, pretty quiet, and you will definitely feel rested here. We stayed over a long weekend and enjoyed it. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
