Restaurant & Bar Lisi Interlaken Reviews from The Last Year
Why is this in Public view? shut this dump down
From what is advertised for the guest house, everything is a lie.. There is no free breakfast, no spa, and no nothing extra. When you get your keys they send you off on a journey out of the hotel feeling weird where the guest house is. You go into a tiny elevator shaft and up to a small hallway that looks something from a hostel. When you enter your room it smells like beat socks and looks nothing like the pictures. Our window faced a wall, almost pointless to have windows to see Interlaken. Tub has hair everything used up like a level 1 Motel. If I can give negative stars I would. I would rather sleep somewhere else for cheap than spending so much for this dirt of a space. Don’t go here, to be honest I hope this place shuts down or turn it into something that is not a hotel because wow. This place sucks so much I never write reviews.

A gem find amazing food in Interlaken with a fast and courteous service. Patrick was our server and went above and beyond in delivering. Highly recommend and will come back.
The best food in Interlaken/lauterbrunnen/Grindelwald area.
Authentic Lebanese. Our party (family of four) ordered an appetizer and the platters (chicken/steak/kafta). Platters come with baba ghanouj, hommos, a salad, fries or rice. Two types of rice to choose from (biryani type or white), plus of course the hot off the oven pita bread. They also have pilsner/lager beer, a good enough list of wines and a full bar. If u r in the area AND hungry, go there! My picky eater kids (from the USA) finished their platters! Prices were very reasonable for the area. Shoutout to our server Kamal who was very attentive.
Cool family room with terrace
We picked the Hotel Hey because it had a large family room and a good central location. It turned out the room also had a terrace, with a glimpse of the mountains. It was so nice that we ended up getting a takeaway for dinner and eating it on our terrace - much easier with two tired kids. It's close to the train station (Interlaken West) and very central. It has a Coop very close by which is useful to pick anything up you might need. The breakfast was served in a lovely large room with tall ceilings and was very good with a lot of choice - I have never come across Miso soup in a European hotel before! Overall the hotel had a very stylish and quirky vibe.
Good location
Good location. Nice room, older place that’s been renovated. We had some issues early on in our stay with heating but it seemed to resolve by the 3rd day. Staff do their best to help out, but it does seem at times like there is some newer or not as knowledgeable staff on the front desk. We didn’t realise we were entitled to a guest pass for free buses etc until the 3rd day when the information centre told us we should have received our passes from our hotel (we didn’t). When we went back and asked we got them straight away without any problems. Overall, would stay again.
Good hotel with good breakfast
Hotel was situation centrally with walking distances to the supermarket and several stores. The room was average in size. Our room was at the corner where the roof was lower. The water temperature in the shower fluctuates and was inconsistent. Breakfast was fantastic with a large selection of options in the buffet. Overall will recommend.
This was just a great dinner experience from start to
This was just a great dinner experience from start to finish! The service was prompt and hospitable, and the food was fantastic. Delicious bread and hummus, and it might have been the best labne and babaganoush I've ever had. I had the veggie platter, which had a wide array of foods, all of which were very tasty. The tea served at the end of the meal was a lovely finishing touch. If you're in Interlaken, I highly recommend checking this place out for dinner!
Not recommendable
Lunch: vegetarian or pasta frutti di mare. Weekly special not available. Food lukewarm/cold. Linguistic discrepancies were also present. Very small seminar rooms. Unfortunately not recommended.
Trendy and Nice
The Hey Hotel is prime location for Interlaken. The lobby and restaurant seemed a little too trendy but that is just my opinion. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the decor of the breakfast room. The bed was comfortable but more pillows would always be better. The balcony was nice to look down at the crowd. We used the balcony to dry wet clothes from the rain so that came in handy. They do offer baggage storage on days you get there and check out since it is a town where people sign up for a lot of activities. This hotel was expensive and now that I am familiar with the city I would feel more comfortable staying a little more on the outskirts of town for a more fair price.
DO NOT STAY HERE!
My wife and I booked Hey Guest House for 3 nights, for our honeymoon. The pictures looked nice online. We showed up, got the keys and checked in. First thing I noticed was the horrible smell as soon as we walked into the room. I opened the window and noticed a bunch of cigarette butts below the window. Mystery solved, cigarettes and cheap air freshener. As my headache starts to grow, I walk into the smallest bathroom you can imagine. The bathtub was stained and there was hair in the tub from the last guests. At this point we go to grab our things off the bed to talk to the front desk and realize that our backpack was sitting on a disgusting stain on the comforter. We go speak with the front desk and not only were they rude and condescending, they told us they would not offer a refund (because it was not 3 days prior to the booking) and that they would only offer us another room if we gave them an additional $250 A NIGHT!! Absolutely do not stay here. You can stay at the local crack motel for a fraction of the price and get the same quality as this horrid hotel. Hey Guest House, you are a garbage stain on the memory of our honeymoon, and I will tell anyone that will listen, that you are the worst hotel I have ever visited.
The HEY Hotel leaves a lot to be desired.
My wife (Faith Curtis) and I stayed in the Hey Hotel from 09/28/23 until 10/01/23. Our room number was 0408, which is located on the 4th floor rear of the hotel. During our stay, we experienced the following problems: 1) Water stopped while showering and then came back on scalding hot even though the valve was untouched and is indicative of a water supply issue on the 4th floor and also a lack of mixing valve safety issues; 2) Bathroom had only one small towel bar for two people to hang towels, which was inadequate for two people; 3) Although the hotel advertises wifi, it was not available in our room and only in the hotel lobby; and 4) Cleanliness of the room, especially the floor's "luxury vinyl" was questionable after finding a clump of dark brown hair laying on the floor; 5) The breakfast buffet selection and quality was limited with mostly cold cuts and pickled items; 6) There were no wash clothes; 7) The lights in the rear stairwell to and from the 4th floor to the ground floor did not turn on, even though we were told they were on motion sensors; and 8) There was only one desk chair and none in which to relax. These sort of accommodations might appeal to young inexperienced traveler who doesn't know better or who have lower expectations. It is not for someone who is a seasoned traveler who has experienced better accommodations. I do not recommend this hotel.
Avoid the Guesthouse.
Was actually at The Hey Guesthouse. The staff upon checking in were very cordial and exceedingly nice. However, once we crossed that invisible Bridge from the Hey Hotel to the Hey Guesthouse, things went downhill. You can tell we were the red-headed stepchild because the floor was dirty, the carpet in the elevator was pretty well bordering on filthy and there were gnats in the room. Not just one, not just two. Tons of gnats. Definitely gave you the heebie jeebies. Not sure if they were there because a restaurant was pretty well immediately underneath the rooms or what, but they were definitely a presence. The breakfast was actually one of the better we had on the trip, and did feel badly for the staff who were working the buffet breakfast because they were hard put to keep up with the hordes of people who came in. I personally would not stay at the guesthouse again, but everything I've heard about the hotel has been thumbs up.

I've never had Lebanese food even in California but we got the kafta platter that came with 2 beef skewers and wow so good! We shared one platter between me and my wife and it was almost perfect in amount. If we had 2 more skewers on the platter then I would have been super satisfied! We did get additional free side of bread which was nice of them :) The service is nice and helpful!

Delicious and authentic! We ordered the falafels, chicken skewers and kafta skewers and it was plenty of food for the two of us because they gave pita bread and also a rice pudding too! Everything was very tasty.
Outrageously delicious food! We love Persian and Israeli
Outrageously delicious food! We love Persian and Israeli food, never had Lebanese, and were blown away! The meat was seasoned slightly differently but so delicious. Same with the sauces. There was a garlic sauce that was incredible. Also, homemade pita bread. Highly recommend!

We stopped by here after a long day of hiking and it was exactly what we needed to satisfy our hunger. We got seated pretty quickly since we arrived quite late in the evening. If I recall correctly, the hours were not exactly correct on google and they were open a bit later. We had called in to ensure the kitchen was open. We passed by the restaurant several other times and it was always packed with a long line. I do recommend planning ahead. We got the mixed grill. I have to say that the beef kebab was the best of the 3 kebabs on the plate. If I was to go back I would take a full plate of beef. The toum and hummus and babaganoush were amazing as well. The hot sauce had a nice kick. I highly recommend this place due to the amazing food and hospitable service.

Food was delicious I had the kefta kebabs and my son had the lamb. We enjoyed the thyme bread brought before dinner and all the accompanying sauces.
Perfect place
We were very happy with the Hey Hotel. The staff were courteous and caring, the property was ideally located and the rooms were cool. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Interlaken is a picturesque town but Grindelwald was actually nicer and east access to Jungfraujoch. I would stay here again.

I went here with my friend who is Lebanese and wow we were both amazed. He said the food was extremely authentic, and I agreed that it was absolutely delicious. We got the mixed meat skewers, a salad, some fried appetizers, and they even brought out a little dessert when we finished eating :). The staff was super quick and friendly, and the restaurant has a nice ambiance inside and out. This was one of my favorite meals on my 10 day Eurotip!
I'm going to be honest, I didn't want to share my meal with
I'm going to be honest, I didn't want to share my meal with my family. After finishing half, I could not keep the encroaching forks away any longer, and soon my meal was gone. I was forced to order two more full orders just so I could get my fill, we all could not get enough. Fresh pita, sauces all had a ton of flavor. To find a restaurant that prepares simple food in such a tasty way it's all I ever need. Can't believe this was in Switzerland. If you were traveling to or from Interlochen, or even passing through, this is worth a stop. I lived in Israel for a year, and this falafel was remarkable! Outstanding!
