The Breakers Palm Beach Reviews from The Last Year
Historic.
Iconic. Well maintained and beautiful. Some place one has to visit when coming to Palm Beach. Only downside is it's a bit too large for me, and reminds me of a hotel at Disney with the crowds, the children running around, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but just what it is. Of course when walking the grounds it is beautiful and right on the ocean. Look out and the Gulfstream is right there with the deep blue water letting you know its boundary! Gorgeous and a must see.
Over rated & over price.
Had several meals which most were below standards. Charge $24.00 for only a cup of hot water. The Italian restaurant was the worst. Try having lunch with my daughter which she was a register guest and was told I could not because I did not have a room. Was offer a bowl of chips as their way of apologizing. Really bowl of chips from an over rated 5 star facility. Save your money and stay elsewhere!!!
Have to Dine at The Breakers While in Palm Beach!
We dined at The Italian Restaurant at The Breakers in March. Before having dinner, we had drinks at the waterfront bar and walked around the amazing, historic resort. While dining, we so loved the fresh bread, our Caesar salad and the pear salad. My husband devoured his chicken Parmesan and I did the same for my eggplant Parmesan. Highly, highly recommend! Service was terrific, too. Alex took the very best care (best service we had in Palm Beach) of us!!
The restaurant HMF at the breakers is an absolute disgrace.
If you want to have a good time do not come here. My mother who is a grown adult was cut off after one drink for her "safety". We are staying an elevator ride away and she was cut off at 10:22. The waitress proceeded to ghost us and completely leave us at the table with no assistance with our bill. I will never be back here and you should not either. Horrible experience.
Over priced convention hotel
It’s just too large for me to want to return. We got two milkshakes at the pool and it was $50. The beach was nice but it is just too large to be a true luxury hotel. Also it took my son 10 min to spend $40 at the arcade. We paid over $2k a night and I think it is good hotel not a dollar over $700 a night.
Great couples retreat or family resort!
So far my first night was amazing. Every staff member is so nice and accommodating to make the stay special. I come to Palm beach once a year and stay at the four seasons. I have to tell you this Hotel and the staff is 1000% better. The valet, front desk, waiters all go above and beyond to make the stay extra special. If you are having a wedding, a couple retreat or traveling with small kids, nothing compares. I recommend this is my new dedicated spot when I come to Palm Beach! So many restaurants, shops and activities..
Beautiful Historic Hotel
Stopped in to experience the history and grandeur of the Breakers. Gorgeous drive in lined by palm trees and lush landscaping. They do a quick check of your ID and parking on the right is free. Beautiful lobby and some history of the hotel displayed. The back or oceanside was uninspiring. For some reason the outside front fountain wasn’t working today.

The Tv in the bathroom is awesome! The food was great and the scenery is amazing. I enjoyed the refreshing water they gave us upon arrival. Don't forget to get your chocolate from the nice cleaning ladies. Bathroom's were clean. The valet was fast. Breakfast was so nice. Both the food was good but the room we ate in was better. Everywhere I looked was beautiful. The servers are friendly.
This luxury hotel located on the Atlantic Ocean in Palm
This luxury hotel located on the Atlantic Ocean in Palm Beach was founded in 1896. This iconic historic resort is an Italian Renaissance Revival style hotel with 534 rooms. Located on a half mile of private beach and beautifully landscaped grounds, also an on-site spa and two golf courses. They also feature ten restaurants, four pools, six hot tubs, poolside bungalows, playground, ten tennis courts, and private fitness. They are about four miles to West Palm Beach airport and less than a mile to Worth Avenue.
A Sumptuous Property
This is a gorgeous and historic property. The fresh flower arrangements are absolutely beautiful. Great shops! Valet Parking is $35 or you can spend $35 and it will be free. We saw a couple lovely restaurants, but we weren't allowed to eat at the pool one because we weren't guests at the hotel.
I have a gluten allergy and they did a pretty good job
I have a gluten allergy and they did a pretty good job accommodating my allergy but they did leave the croutons and my salad I asked if they could get me a new one and they apologized and got me a new salad and were very nice about it.
We loved this hotel!
We stayed just before Christmas week and I loved everything about this hotel. Sadly the weather was ATROCIOUS - that isn’t the hotels fault of course but it meant that we didn’t get to experience the pool areas (sob - seriously, we would have been blown away - haha) but we did spend more time using the rest of the facilities than we might otherwise have been. Some of the things we especially loved were: - the onsite golf course - in really good condition. We played in the pouring rain and they probably thought we were mad, but it was really well kept! - breakfast buffet - so much choice, beautiful setting - hotel Christmas decor - spectacular - lovely staff - fish bar restaurant (that’s not its name but you’ll know what I mean!) - ALL the hotel dining options. Reassuringly expensive :) Thanks for a great time!
The Breakers Hotel of Palm Beach is just an amazing place
The Breakers Hotel of Palm Beach is just an amazing place from the rooms to the grounds. There several awesome restaurants to choose from including on the grounds or just across the street. There is a steakhouse and a seafood restaurant. There are all several shops from clothes to jewelry. The views from the Hotel especially the sunsets are breathtaking. Try the News & Gourmet for a coffee or tea or a snack maybe an ice cream. There is onsite parking or valet.
The excess
We of course did not stay in this establishment but we went to see it. It was built 100 years ago and there was already the idea of excess. A multitude of lounges and reception rooms. Everything here is luxury and grandeur.
5 stars for architecture and art.
An amazing establishment. 5 stars for cuisine quality. 3 for maintenance. Expect to find issues. For this price they should more rare. When you go to the gym, you expect everything to work. I won't go on. 5 for service, or even higher. Just amazing. Been 3 or 4 times, but will be looking around this year. If you have never been, go at least once.
Lovely place to visit
We were impressed that the hotel allows visitors to come just for a drink and had free parking. We really enjoyed walking around the hotel and then having a drink in the Seafood bar overlooking the water. I had read some negative reviews which put me off staying here but it did look lovely with a nice shopping and cafe area and staff were friendly.

Hands Down the Most Luxurious Hotel in America! I've been
Hands Down the Most Luxurious Hotel in America! I've been wanting to stay at The Breakers ever since I watched the 2001 movie "Heartbreakers" starring Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt. It's about a mother and daughter who are con artists. They venture to Palm Beach and stay at The Breakers hotel in order to find Billionaire husbands. If you haven't seen it, you definitely should! Anyway, after watching that movie when I was a kid, I dreamt of one day getting to stay at The Breakers. I booked a solo trip to Palm Beach a couple of months ago and I just wanted to enjoy the hotel and its amenities. For a whopping $1,500 a night (yes, you read that right!) you get a basic room. Fortunately, I was upgraded to a beautiful ocean view room at no extra charge. The whole entire experience was first class! From the moment they greeted me at the door, until I left the hotel, I was treated so well. The front desk staff member named Jonathan C. provided me with excellent service and made checking in a breeze. My room was so breathtakingly beautiful! It's hard to caputre in photos but the view of the ocean was stunning! The bathroom mirror even has a tv built into it! How cool! I couldn't figure out how to work the mirror tv at first, but they quickly called Raul from their maintenance team and he was awesome! Friendly man too. I love the little details they do to pamper their guests. I got a box of artisan chocolates when I arrived. For their turn-down service at night they left me more chocolates on my bed. Their toiletries are top notch and smell so good. They even have a hair drying towel you can keep. The Breakers has a private beach front with staff taking care of you while you enjoy the beach. Their pool area is massive with several different pools and hot tubs to enjoy. They have different kinds of cabanas too and water bungalows you can reserve. I loved enjoying my cocktail in a coconut on the beach! I had dinner at the HMF restaurant which I highly recommend. They had the best tasting sushi. The only downside to my visit was that I was looking forward to brunch at The Circle which is their beautiful restaurant, but unfortunately it was booked for an event. It was a real bummer since I ventured all the way to Florida to try their brunch. I loved my stay, it was everything I hoped it would be. I stayed at the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York City a few weeks ago, and I think The Breakers even tops that by a landslide! The Breakers will be hard to beat in my book!
It doesn't get much fancier than the Breakers.
Go for the people watching and the views. Get a drink and just stare at people. It's very fun, trust me.
This place is amazing.
This is truly a 5 star hotel. Been to many “so called” 5 star hotels only to be disappointed. The character and modern touch’s celebrate what defines a elegant resort. It’s just a beautiful and stunning hotel. Service and staff are so polite and friendly. Thank you Breakers for not breaking our heart. !!!
I've found that the hospitality industry tends to attract
I've found that the hospitality industry tends to attract wonderful people and my experience this morning with Jason S. from The Breakers' Reservation Department call center was truly exceptional. Under a challenging circumstance, whereby I had previously missed confirming a room for my boss as part of a group block and only realized it the morning of intended check-in (!), Jason carefully located the group block and secured a reservation. With my boss already driving on his way to The Breakers, you can imagine my sigh of relief. Understanding the context of my predicament, Jason also thoughtfully offered to send the confirmation email directly to me to maintain avoid raising an alarm. Jason was beyond capable, reassuring, articulate, empathetic, solutions-oriented... an absolute gem. For those looking to hold a meeting or event, I highly recommend The Breakers. Already a beautiful venue, the staff, as exemplified by Jason, are top-notch.
No longer 5 Star treatment
Unfortunately if you actually stay on the property during the holidays like I did it is NOT a 5 star experience. They give no preference to their guests that stay on property and it has lost all of the “magic” of the holidays. We waited over an hour to be seated in a restaurant. The whole reason to stay on property was to accommodate my parents with limited mobility and not have to leave the hotel. When we were seated finally the service was subpar. We had to return undercooked meat 3 times. Well done meat is usually easy to accommodate. It does appear they accommodate instagram influencers who show up to take photos and not order food and share a single drink. We received no extra attention from being a guest. Now I know that everyone stays at a much less expensive hotel in town and just visits the hotel and restaurants. At $1800 a night you would think you would be treated so much better. They could not even accommodate adjoining rooms. I assumed the hotel was full only to learn there were empty rooms everywhere. Now that the magic is lost we will definitely not be returning again.

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
