Eden Roc Miami Beach Reviews from The Last Year
LOVE the service!!
Just want to pass along that Gwendolyn was absolutely fantastic! She came for room service breakfast on a morning where I was not feeling great, but yet she literally sang me happy birthday in a beautiful voice and game me a hug and blessed me. It was such a surprise and tbh it made my whole birthday weekend. Thank you Gwendolyn and Eden Roc for making me feel so special.
Terrible Service
A group of 11 of us stayed at Eden Roc for my 40th birthday celebration over Mother's Day weekend. We all purchased ocean view rooms. While the view was beautiful, the poolside and ocean service was awful. Every drink ordered took over an hour to receive and we had to ask multiple times where our drinks were. There was no one in charge or a clear person to go to with issues while outside. For the price you pay in resort fees and for the drinks, you would think the service would be better. The bartenders in the lobby were better, but the whole point of the vacation is to be outside enjoying the resort. The air-conditioning also was not working in the hallways of the resort. It was so hot and muggy. It took forever for our rooms to cool down enough to sleep comfortably. The carpets were dirty and very outdated. We stayed for 4 nights, and the service never got better. I was extremely disappointed and will not be staying at this hotel again. We ended up spending time next door at Fontainebleau to drink and hang out. They have better service and nicer amenities.
Best Hotel Room of my Life!
Booked this through our Chase points. Amazing upgrades for our 25th Anniversary. We were in room 2125, literally best room I have ever stayed at in my life. Beautiful beach and pool too views, stars, sunrise. Many thanks to all at Eden Roc that made this stay special - Augustine at Bell Desk, Jemima Desir at the Front Desk, Jasmine on the phone, and David and Gwedolyn from room service. Many thanks for a spectacular 12 hour layover stay!
Best hotel on Miami Beach
This hotel is excellent in every way. Starting with the valet, to the front desk and then WOW the rooms are incredible. We had an ocean view king with balcony and it has the best veiw. SUPER comfortable bed and very spacious large room, bathroom and wardrobe storage. You can even see the ocean while you shower. The service is 5 stars throughout the hotel and the pool + beach. Nice touches with filter water dipsensers all over the property. Staying here everytime I come to Miami Beach.
Great Value, Amazing Service and Ocean View!
Amazing! Great food at Ocean Social, the setup with ocean view, can be better. The staff was great, very knowledgeable and service-oriented. The rooms are spacious and the balcony is huge. The view form the room is the best, not many hotels in Miami beach give you this much balcony space and ocean view, you can see miles of shore. The staff was awesome, and I got a complementary welcome drink during check-in. Will be back!
Not the best
Just got back from a trip here yesterday. Went there for my babymoon during Mother’s Day weekend. I would say this was an okay resort .. Room 3/5 Oceanfront room view 5/5 Service 3/5 Food 3/5 Beach 3/5 Pool 4/5 Spa 4/5 I was expecting better service based on the reviews here but that wasn’t the case. I felt the staff / service was disorganized or not fully knowledgeable. No one could answer my questions with confidence. I liked that there were water refill stations all over but would’ve been nice if they actually worked! We tried almost all of them and a lot of them didn’t work. The beds are super soft , I am used to medium firm so it did take some getting used to. I stayed in an ocean front suite so the view was 10/10 but the room felt like it definitely needed some maintenance.. especially the bathroom , there were black marks on the shower tiles ( hoping it wasn’t mold ) and paint peeling etc. The daily cleaning staff didn’t do a good job of cleaning either . I felt we were nickel and dimed for everything . Everything has an automatic 20% gratuity added on… seems to be the case all over Miami . The pool staff was decent. The beach staff could use some improvement , we had to wait over an hour for some burgers and only got them bc we inquired why it had been an hour. I got a prenatal massage at the spa, that was decent . Much more expensive than expected but I felt like splurging a lil, couldn’t use any of the other amenities in there since I am pregnant. Ate at all the resteraunts , ocean social , nobu, cafe inez, Aquatica beach/pool and in room dining. All were okay — nothing to write home about .I will say in room dining was very prompt. I felt the room was too warm. Took service like over an hour to get there and then they argued with me saying the room is cold — well sorry sir I don’t agree , they didn’t really do anything but I just adjusted to it for the rest of our stay. I came for the beach and pool so in that regard it was good. The ocean was that beautiful turquoise blue color with a white sand beach. With how hot it was , the temp of the ocean was perfect ! Wish there wasn’t as much seaweed. And omg while we were swimming in thr ocean there www a condom floating around!! 🤮🤮 they could do a better job of cleaning their area of the beach! There are 3 pools, all are heated . Would’ve liked it cooler since it was so hot! Anyway, for the price and value , I’d try a diff place next time.
Relaxing Birthday Trip
We had a great time celebrating a friends birthday weekend at Eden ROC. We relaxed at the beach and the pool! Super relaxing atmosphere! The rooms were outdated and needed some updates! Rico DeLargo was an absolute joy to talk to and get to know briefly. He was attentive and friendly even though he was in the middle of planning a 1000+ party that was starting within the hour. Look forward to our next trip to Miami and Eden ROC!!
Great great great all went excellent!
The Eden Roc Nobu Hotel was a great experience. From walking in until leaving everyone was friendly and all went as good as you would expect and want from a resort. Classic upscale beach front style from the lobby to the rooms and poolside as well as beachside, great experience overall. Josiel and Rafael and DJ Haiti all made the experience great as well! Thanks so much for the amazing getaway!
UNDERWHELMING
So underwhelming! A complete rip off. Serving cocktails from a slush puppy machine and charging insane prices for it plus additional hidden expenses. Beach bar charging 40dollars a day for a sunbed and more for an umbrella. Bar prices also so expensive and moody staff who want a tip for a fart. Most u derwhekming hotel I’ve ever stayed at
Beachfront excellence in Miami Beach
The staff at the check-in counter was fantastic. Michael and Amber were very welcoming and were able to quickly find me a beautiful room despite arriving earlier than the 4 pm check-in time. The hotel has very nice facilities and the food, while a bit pricey, was very good. Will be back.
Beautiful Resort
This place is wonderful ! I met a gentleman named “ Linskey “ who was extremely sincere and kind. He was at the concierge desk and offered me ideas on what to do while in Miami. The bartender “ Danny “ at the lobby bar as super nice too. The pool boys or attendants were polite and attentive. I ate and drank at Ocean Social several times and did enjoy the breakfast food ! I had a very professional bartenders and wee at it staff I just didn’t note their first names. Kudos to the employees who with at Eden Roc ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏
Warning for pre-paid breakfasts! Especially families…
I pre-paid a suite for my family for 3 night stay at the Eden Roc through a travel agent, with confirmation of a prepaid breakfast for my family. However, upon arrival, the hotel informed us that instead of the inclusive breakfast we were promised, we were entitled to a mere $35 credit – an amount woefully insufficient for even the most basic breakfast in Miami. Despite showing them our written confirmation of an inclusive breakfast for my family, the hotel insisted that their policy only offered breakfast for two people with a credit, details which were not communicated clearly and were highly misleading. To put it into perspective, a kids' breakfast of eggs on toast costs $15 at the hotel. The $35 credit barely covered the cost of breakfast for one person, let alone for my entire family. Despite the hotel's offer to increase the credit to €60 per day, this was still inadequate and fell short of what we had prepaid for. It's a complete rip-off and a clear case of false advertising. The discrepancy between the confirmed booking details and what was provided upon arrival, coupled with the unsatisfactory resolution offered by the hotel, left us utterly disappointed and frustrated. The misleading information provided by both the hotel and the travel agency significantly impacted our overall experience and perception of the establishment. I will be escalating a formal complaint regarding this matter, as it is unacceptable to deceive guests in such a manner. Potential guests deserve to know the truth about the services offered by the Eden Roc, and I will ensure that my voice is heard until this issue is properly addressed.
AWFUL
This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Miami. To begin with, check in took over 30 minutes. We were told they could not give us an eta of when the room would be ready. The hotel itself is extremely outdated and when we finally got our room it was dirty and smelt bad. The service is absolutely terrible. We were told there were no chairs left at the pool multiple days and the staff didn’t even make an effort to help us find one. Getting food/ drinks at the pool is nearly impossible. There was one waitress for two pools that never even came up to us despite being there for hours. When we went to the beach, we were told there was a “very long wait” for any food so we gave up. There is construction going on next door and that is all we could hear at the pool. The hotel is insanely expensive. Two Pina coladas cost over $60 and a BOTTLE of orange juice cost $16. For reference we had lunch at 1 Hotel and it was cheaper than what we spent on our lunch at Eden Roc. I tried calling the front desk for more towels multiple times and never got a response. Overall, this hotel is NOT worth the money at all and we regretted staying here. We spoke to a few other girls staying at the hotel who felt the same, yet their story about having a dirty room was even worse.
Great customer service and spa
Maria at the front desk made my experience. Initially the room didn’t meet expectations. She got me moved, was very accommodating and was very pleasant to work with. Her smile lights up the front desk. The hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean and great pool and easy access to the beach. The spa is excellent. Be sure to go see Luis. He has magic hands. He took his time to understand where I held tension and gave me an incredible treatment.
Five Stars from Eden Roc door to beach via restaurants
We stayed at Eden Roc not Nobu but all staff were terrific from the valet, through the front door, in both restaurants, past the pools, ending on the beach. Truly! Nobu was what you expect from Nobu. High class Japanese style food but Ocean Social was on another level completely. We had lunch one day and dinner the next and I will go as far as to say they were two of the best restaurant meals I've had this year. Not to mention we were seated on a deck overlooking Miami Beach. Not too shabby. Salads were remarkable, the steak melted in my mouth, and desert at both lunch and dinner were orgasmic! (Pavlova and Popcorn Cheesecake) If there was one downside it was a constantly flowing cistern in the toilet but once the door was closed we couldn't hear it. Take a sea bath while you're on Miami Beach. The water is clean and you can stand for quite a way out at medium and low tide. As Arnie said: I'll be back!
Poorly managed hotel. Run down.
Hotel complex is nice as such and some of the staff are really good. Sadly the hotel seems to be poorly managed overall. For example : our room was dirty (rotten food between fridge and floor / used cotton swabs in cupboard / empty cigarette pack on balcony / dirty floors throughout). We asked for the room to be cleaned. Sadly all they did was to take out the cigarette pack). We asked again for the room to be cleaned. Again - we could not see a difference and so we gave up.). It comes down to a poorly managed and poorly run hotel in my view which is a shame as they try and position themselves as an upmarket location which is reflected in prices across the board. I would not choose this hotel again - so many other things which did not work and which we could mention here.
Hotel was Great, but the staff was better.
The weather and hotel were delightful, yet it was the staff, led by Rico, who elevated our experience. Their genuine care and attention ensured our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Rico's dedication truly made all the difference. We will definitely go again.
I would give this hotel is rightfully deserved 5 stars.
The music sets the perfect and spot on miami vibe any tourist or traveler would want. Out of all of the 4 pools, I would have to say i enjoy the heated pool right next the rentable bikes. I like that this hotel offers many things to do. For instance, four pools, the "backyard" beach, a bar, a spa, fitness center, and much more. The staff is very helpful and very informative. When I arrived, I felt immediately welcomed and felt like they were happy that i was there. I would recommend this Hotel to any individual who would be interested in going here. Something that I wish that was better is more chairs. In my opinion, the chairs are almost most likely taken by other guests. You either have to get there very early into the morning, or try to find a spot this is decent. But overall, the hotel is deserving of 5 stars and will definitely be coming again next year.
Will definitely stay again!
Everything was wonderful! Oziel was so helpful with all of our needs and questions. He was so welcoming and was always there for us. Will definitely return. Room was beautiful and the entire experience was great! Also enjoyed the pool and the service there was wonderful as well!
Solid
During my recent stay at the Eden Roc Hotel, the standout experience was largely due to the outstanding service provided by Michael S. at the front desk. His down-to-earth demeanor and super friendly attitude made every interaction a pleasure, elevating our entire stay. Michael's approach to hospitality, focusing on genuine connections and ensuring we felt welcomed and valued, truly set our experience apart. It's rare to encounter someone who embodies such a natural flair for making guests' experiences better simply through their presence and attitude. The Eden Roc Hotel shines brighter with Michael S. on their team, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay enhanced by truly exceptional staff.
We had such a wonderful experience, our kids had a blast in the miami heat, chillin at the pool and beach.just a delight
The hotel was an amazing luxury, the staff was super kind and accommodating! especially Zandra was a huge help, she works at the front desk and always had a smile on her face! we really enjoyed our family vacation here! we recommend it to any other family looking for a relaxing trip to miami beach! it also has a beach front with 2 chairs provided for each room!🤩😎
Stayed here last week and was really not impressed.
Keep in mind that there are numerous hotel properties in Miami that are long overdue a refurbishment so perhaps this is more the norm but Eden Roc is an older property that's been around for a long time. My parents stayed here in their honeymoon I believe. Although the rooms have been upgraded since that period, it's due for another asap. For ease of reading I broke down as follows: The Good: *Excellent location on the beach and boardwalk which is ideal for walks, runs, bike rides. *beautiful views from the ocean facing rooms. *a few options on property for dining including Nobu. *friendly front desk staff. The Needs Attention: *The tiles in the guest rooms have a layer of slime or wetness so be careful walking. This is typical of high humidity locations. *so much in the room doesn't work. In my brief stay, my key card reader stopped working, the safe battery needed replacement, all of the bathroom fixtures are not properly working or just old. They are hard to work and need tightening. The toilet rocked bc the seal is no longer. Ongoing upkeep/maintenance seems to be non existent. The patio door doesn't really totally close. *from above, one item was fixed after 20 minutes of waiting in the hallway after being told I'd meet maintenance at my door. However the other repair issue was completely ignored even after confirming w hotel operator. *although there are 3-4 elevator banks, only one is operational and it's extremely slow. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes each time you need a lift. The lobby area while waiting has zero air flow so it's uncomfortable as well. Several guests told me that they alerted the front desk but they seemed to not really respond. This was so annoying and inconvenient for many reasons. *the gate to from the pool area to the boardwalk has a broken card reader so she. You walk out to the beach and the door slams behind you, you are totally out of luck. No phone, no guard after sunset and when I informed the security team the response was 'oh yeah, that gate is broken.' How about a sign or posting a guard there. Wtf. *the rooms are just not clean. Lots of random stains in the bathroom, tiles on floor and in shower have mold/mildew. *the ocean cafe whatever it's called was fair at best. The service is slow, the bartenders during the morning are not very customer service oriented and it's totally overpriced. $5 for toast. *my checkout process was not smooth. Long lines and inexperienced staff. I was charged for so many things that I was not supposed to be charged so be sure to read your folio.
View is breathtaking, staff is accommodating and courteous.
The rooms aren't super large but extremely comfy and very clean. Shout out to GM Maria Vilchez ho is the BEST MANGER EVER. He always tries to accommodate and very often goes out of her way to make your experience stellar! It's because of her I keep going back! Thanks Maria!
Only come for the spa and lunch.
Really enjoyed both. The relaxation room has a calming view to an outdoor space. The amenities are not too overwhelming. We took advantage of Miani Spa month. Prices for facial or massage are around $185,including gratuity. We've tried a few other spas in the area, and the Lapis and this one are our favorite.
I visited Eden Roc during the week of Miami Swim Week.
The Atmosphere: Eden Roc is beautiful! I instantly felt wealthy when I entered. Not just from the decor, but even the guests. It's a very Miami upscale vibe that seems more fitting for Gen X and Millennials. They have a super nice pool, good restaurants & bars! The Room: BEAUTIFUL! We had a dope view of the pool & ocean! The Service: The service was not the greatest. The front desk staff definitely felt like they didn't want to be there. Bell hops and concierge were very nice! The BAD: I only have TWO main complaints: no smoking patios and slow elevators. Eden Roc does not allow you to smoke on their property unless you're in a designated smoking area, which I get. But to not allow people to smoke on their patios is pretty insane. The elevators is what pissed me off the most. I stayed on the 9th floor and it would take me at least 10-15 minutes every time for an elevator to arrive on my floor. Every time! They have nearly 4 elevator shafts and all of them take forever. It's also very hot near the elevators. So it's unbearable waiting 15 minutes for an elevator to arrive while in heat. Overall, it's an amazing experience. I'd come back for vibes but they need improvement in a few areas.
We were upgraded to a junior suite for free and enjoyed our
We were upgraded to a junior suite for free and enjoyed our stay. The amenities were nice in the suite, but the halls outside weren't air conditioned and felt a bit musty. Main lobby was nice. Our rooms were cleaned daily and replaced with new towels. We requested a microwave and kettle which came quickly which was nice. We were charged 35 a night for the pool and beach access which was weird since it should be included in the hotel pricing... I ate pringles in the room and somehow it was 7 dollars with random service fees which made it 10. The staff here were friendly but the main downside was the random charges for amenities that should be provided.
A dump.
Housekeeping was a adventure, sheets don't get changed, soiled towels have be brought to thr front office for replacement. Especially noisy if your on the ground floor. Times Square has better SRO's. Steer clear of this place.
Went here for my anniversary to celebrate and absolutely
Went here for my anniversary to celebrate and absolutely LOVED it! Not only was every single staff member friendly but they were extremely helpful. We ended up upgrading for a partial ocean view and LOVED IT! Proximity to the beach cannot be beat! Their onsite restaurant is delicious and the service was AMAZING! We sat at the bar and our bartender Caesar gave us the best service on an already amazing experience! The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because it was a little unclear about tipping amongst some locations on property. By the pools my husband was told told that the service charge on the receipt goes the the house and not the bartender/server and then at another location he was told the service charge is their tip and that tipping wasn't necessary unless we wanted to. Maybe at some parts of the resort differ? I normally like to tip extra anyway but I don't like feeling misinformed. Mind you husband was the one that told me this so he could have also misunderstood. I'd just ask for clarification:) Would definitely return and recommend this spot for anyone!

We had a fantastic stay here! Staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the luxurious amenities. We will definitely be back.
I had a really nice time with friends at the Eden Roc at
I had a really nice time with friends at the Eden Roc at miami beach, nice views with balconies. They have a few pools, walking paths and beach access. The gym is nice and clean. The spa is very relaxing with many amenities. They have a few spots to eat in the hotel and by the beach. We tried them all and the food is good but DO NOT over look the bar in the center of the hotel. I am still thinking about the cauliflower baked dish. You will want to lick the plate! The staff is really helpful and friendly- Hannah at the information desk was super sweet. Jen by the beach and pool was so helpful. Just to name a few. I held back a star because my bed room bath room was a little run down but it was clean and spacious.

I had this problem too when I first started. It took me about 8 screenshots before it was accepted. What is the reason they’re saying it is being rejected?
